bromocriptine

I started taking bromocriptine2.5mg for my elevated prolactin (prolactinoma, and i have adenoma 5mm) from month , i should get my period around 21-23 but i didnot .my periods were regular ,i get for 28 days. Except i had spotting in the mid of the month (13-16 days)since 4 months .Is there any chance to get pregnancy or else why this is happening .i am much worried about this .And how long it takes to prolactin to get normal (generally).What should i do.like taking test for pregnancy etc.

If you were my patient, I would repeat the prolactin level after 4-6 weeks on the Bromocriptine.  I would also be sure to do a thyroid panel.  Once your prolactin level is normal, I would recommend that you start ovulation predictors.  If these are showing ovulation, and if your cycles are the normal duration (28 days +/- ) I would recommend a progesterone level on cycle day 21 to confirm ovulation.  If your cycles still are not normalizing after several weeks, you could increase the Bromocriptine dose, and or add Clomid.
