clomid and cysts

Hi,
I am 23 years old and have been trying to conceive for 13 months and my fertility doctor put me on clomid (200 mg per night) for five days last month. As a result, I now have 3 cysts each measuring at 3 inches in diameter each. Can I still get pregnant and ovulate with the cysts on my ovary? Is there anything I should be doing to help them dissipate? How long do you think it will take for them to go away? Thanks.

My tendency is to allow the cyst to resolve before any further stimulation, by another clomid cycle. Stimulation may cause them to increase and delay reabsorbtion. If they are simple functional cyst I would expect them to resolve in less than 3 months. Some people go on the birth control pill, this does not make cyst go away but prevent new ones from forming. Do a sono before starting a new clomid cycle to see if both ovaries are quiet ( no cyst), and if not, how big are the cyst before any stimulation.

Cysts are not that bad. I to had cysts with the clomit and they went away after a while.They don't affect your abbility to ovulate, you are going to ovulate if even you have cysts but when, if you don't do the trigger shot it's difficult to know, except if you take the ovulation strips at the farmacy. If you take the trigger shot you are going to  ovulate 24-36 hours after the shot. good luck

You can also get the cysts removed with surgery, I had a cyst on my left overy the size of a marble and i got it removed the also have meds that will make it by pass ......Good Luck and God Bless
