conceiving again

hello about four years ago i had a miscarriage at that time i was around 6months when i went into labor the afterbirth failed to come out fast enough as it was supposed to so i went on surgery to get it removed the my insides cleaned out. now years as past with me trying to conceive again and it seems like i cant i have tired the ovalation tests and pills that a docotor prescribe but i dont want to go and get examined because am too afaird to hear that i may not be able to concieve (conceive). what do you think the possibililties are can i still get pregnant or has that miscarriage caused me to not be able to have kids because i know that some people who just recently had a miscarriage gets pregnant soon afterwards. please help me by giveing me some advise and possibilities.

I know it is scary to go to the doctor, especially if you are expecting bad news.  BUT
sometimes the doctor can help you fix a problem, and then you might be able to get pregnant and have BABIES!
(sorry--I LOVE kids!)

It sounds to me as though you may have scarring of your uterus or fallopian tubes.  If you were my patient, I would do a test called an HSG (hysterosalpingogram).
This is a test in which dye is injected into your uterus through a small tube placed through the cervix (its similar to a pap) and then an xray is taken. It can detect damage to the uterus and/or tubes.  Both of these conditions can be corrected!

If you haven't conceived in 4 years, you probably do have some kind of problem, but, once again, it might be fixable!

Go get checked!

I am so sorry about your M/C. If i was you i would go get tested asap...  you never know.... the sooner the better! and yes i have heard that women do get pregnant after a m/c.. good luck!!! and baby dust to you!!!!   :-)

I'm sorry for your loss as well, and I urge you to go see someone too. I was afraid I couldn't concieve (conceive) too because of endo but finally ended up switching docs so I could get a lap done, and got pregnant 3 weeks later. Sadly I lost that baby too, but found out when I did the op, that my scarring wasn't very bad. Maybe the problem all along was my fears, and once I found out I COULD, all of a sudden I DID.
