I am sorry to hear about this terrible event. This is really a rare occurrence. I would wait until you have the genetic testing back, and also it is worthwhile testing for a condition called antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Although very unlikely to have been the cause, testing for APS is done with blood tests, and in the unlikely event that APS is present, can be treated with medications. Almost always, there is no explanation for why these things happen....and most of the time trying again leads to a healthy delivery. Take your time to grieve, wait for the results to come back, and most likely it will be OK to try again, with the expectation that things will work out next time.
