could i be pregnant with twins

could i be pregnant with twins if only one sac is seen at 5weeks 5days..we did in vitro and my blood cameback on day 14  Hcg730 then 2 days later 3344Hcg.. but at 5 weeks only one sac was seen the nurse said we still may have twins and the other sac could be behind the other one.  is that true could that happen

Congratulations!
What beautiful levels! I am here to tell you that it can happen!  At 5 weeks, I saw 2 sacs and at 6 weeks---you guessed it!---three!  Its also not possible to tell how many there are just by HCG levels.  My levels were pretty normal for one baby--and I had three healthy ones.  I wish you all the best however many there are!

it can happen. i just transferred two embryos last week so i may end up with twins too.  friends of ours had twins even though the first u/s saw only one sac...there is a chance! ;)

i had 2 embryos transferred
and one split in 2
im now 7wks 4days pregnant identical twins
