crazy period

Ok so I have like no more then 3 periods a year and I never know when im goin to have one.....do I still go through fertility

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that I'm not completely certain that I understand your question, but, you do probably ovulate occassionaly and are probably fertile at those times.  With and irregular cycle, it is very difficult to know when you are fertile, and is therefore difficult or impossible to use natural family planning effectively.    It IS important to have at least 3-4 periods per year -- preferably spaced well apart--to prevent hyperplasia
which is an abnormal build up in the lining of the uterus.
If you don't have that many periods, OR if you want effective contraception, oral contraceptive pills are a good opction.''
