Hi!
HE is in the age range for advanced paternal age.  You are still below the age range for advanced maternal age ( women 35, men 50 ).

I would encourage you to see your gynecologist who can run some tests to determine whether you are ovulating, and whether your fallopian tubes are open.  Your gynecologist can also order a semen analysis for your husband.  If there are problems, you could then be referred to a reproductive endocrinologist for more help.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time. Have you gotten and HSG test? It's a test where they inject dye into your cervix to see if your fallopian tubes are blocked. If your tubes are blocked, this would prevent fertility.
Also, in my husbands and I experience, a fertility specialist runs alot more tests than a regular OBGYN. They also do genetic testing to see if there is anything genetic that can affect your future children or problems conceiving. Did your husband have a semen analysis? If so, did it come back showing great motility and high quantities of sperm? If not, he should really see a  urologist. Basically it's a process of illemination trying to determine why you are not conceiving. After 3 years of trying we finally decided on IVF with ICSI and we are now expecting. Just be patient and have faith.
