hair coloring

I will be 6 weeks pregnant on 3/3 and have an appointment to get my hair colored on 3/5.  I've heard so many conflicting reports on the safety during pregnancy.  Does anyone have any thoughts on this.  Thanks.

This is something that maybe your Dr. could shed some light on just to be on the safe side. I would definately ask him/her and go by what they say. I too have heard conflicting statements regarding this. My hairdressers opinion is that your hormone levels are just so off the charts that the outcome of the color/perm could be totally opposite of what your intent. Congrats on the pregnancy!

I heard that if you use Aveda products they have no amonia (ammonia) and it's okay to use.  Wear a mask to be safe.  8-)
