high FSH and Hot flashes

Hi, I am a new on this forum. I am 34 years old, and I have experiencing hot flashes.  I get so down everytime i know one is coming.  My doctor drew my blood and my fsh is 61. I want to have a baby, is there anything i can do to lower my fsh?  control my hot flashes?  I live in New York City, can anyone recommend a good fertility doctor.  Thank you so much.

HI!
There is not anything you can do to lower your FSH.  That would require turning back the clock. (I"d like to lower mine too!).  It sounds like you have early menopause.  If you were my patient, I would re-check your FSH level on cycle day 3.  If you have cycles still.
If it remained elevated, I would offer you the option of oral contraceptive pills and help you work with a donor egg or embryo adoption agency.  For IVF to be successful, the FSH should ideally be less than 10.  Don't let an IVF clinic separate you from very much money trying with your own eggs if your FSH is truly that high.
Good luck!

I was also told my fsh was too high! I did the clomid challenge test. On day 3 it was 6.1 but on day 10 after the clomid it was 21 and I am 38yrs old.  Do I even have a chance of getting pregnant? Everything I am reading tells me something different but none of it is really very good!
