low estrogen and infertility

Hi there!

I just had my FSH blood work done on day 3 of my period.  My doctor called me in to go over my results and she said I have low estrogen which is why hubby and i aren't conceiving.  she sent a referral to a fertility specialist but she gave me no info on it.  

what will the fertility doctor do?  how long will it take after to conceive?  i have regular 28 day periods and i have no symptoms of low estrogen so i'm a bit confused.

I think that  your doctor is the one who is confused here!
On cycle day 3, a low estrogen level is good.
I think a fertility specialist is a good idea.

He/she will likely consult with you and your partner, and review all of the blood work that has been done up till now.  Then, he/she will possibly order some more studies, and/or give you some options for treatment.

I think this would likely be quite helpful for you.
