fertilty friend said i ovulated cd27...im now on cd31 and feeling my period coming anyday now {pmsing}....is there a certain amount of days past ovulatin you get your period?...i seems to soon?

Yes, the time from ovulation to menses is 14 days +/- 2. This is called the luteal phase. no matter how long a cycle 28, 34, 35, if you are sure it is an ovulatory cycle then the time from ovulation to menses shoud be 14 days. So the best way to time intercourse is to predict you next start menses date and count backwards on the calendar 14 days, should be ovulation.
