I am on BC so regulate my periods because I stopped having one since march 09  I was told I wasn't ovulating anymore and to get pregnant you have to ovulate ... which I am not ..my husband and I really want to have a child but Im afarid if the BC don't work what is going to happen next? I am currently between jobs so my insurance is not in effect . What can I do, it is frustrating not knowing what to do when all I am being given is pills when the pills don't seem to be working, can you offer any advice?

Hi!
You are correct in assuming that birth control pills are not going to help you conceive!
It sounds to me as though you will probably need a medication like Femara.  This medication is taken daily for 5 days starting on the third day of your period.  (Its OK if the period is a "pill period") This medication stimulates your ovaries and induces ovulation.  ( The cost of the medication is only about $35 per month,.) If the medication works, you either get pregnant, or have your period on cycle day 28.
It is a lot simpler than many people assume, and not horribly expensive.  You may want to visit your local Ob/gyn doctor and get a prescription!
