i had to get the clamps taken off my fallopian tubes and my doctor put me on birth control (the pill) what are the chances of me getting pregnant if i stop taking my birth control

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that taking birth control is pretty important.
If the clamps (filshie clips?) haven't completely blocked your tubes, they may have scarred them significantly.  Scarred tubes can cause ectopic or tubal pregnancies.  If you want a baby, you could consider having an hsg (hysterosalpingogram) done to check the status of your tubes.  If you don't want a baby and don't want to take birth control, there are other ways to "tie" the tubes--or vasectomy!
