Do not be discouraged. A discrepancy of only 1/2 week is, in my opinion, within
normalNormal saline flush limits. A matter of 1 or 2 mm on an ultrasound can affect the calculated gestational age. Having a 6 week pregnancy with a heartbeat is not a guarantee that the pregnancy will progress, but the chances that it will are 85%. I think an ultrasound showing a pregnancy and a heartbeat is great news!!
Thanks.
I am 39 yrs. old and I am at 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant and my doctor did an ultrasound yesterday and said she could barely see it. My HCG numbers went from 530 to 730 (not doubling) but she said it is going up and that is good. Should I be worried that this may turn into a miscarriage because of the low numbers?
