I JUST FINISH TAKING MY PROMETRIUM BECAUSE IAM VERY IRREGULAR FOR 10 DAYS AND I WAS HAVING MY CYCLE BUT  AT THE 11-13 DAY,I WAS BLEEDING HEAVILY WITH BIG CLOTS COMING OUT.I WAS JUST WANDERING IF ITS NORMAL WHEN YOU TAKE PROMETRIUM TO BLEED LIKE THAT..THANK YOU...........

To answer your question--
yes, it can be quite normal to bleed heavily after taking prometrium.  Usually when women have irregular periods, they tend to have a build up of material within the lining of the uterus.  Prometrium causes all of that tissue to discharge and clots are common.

To prevent this from happening again, it can be a wise idea to keep the cycle regular.  This can be done MOST easily with oral contraceptive pills.  Another way to regulate is to take prometrium every month.  A third way is to use clomid or femara if you desire pregnancy.
