spotting after polypectomy

Hi. I am really bummed about my situation. I had a uterine polyp removed 2 months ago because my gyne thought it was the cause of my spotting but I am still spotting 5-7 days before my period. My cycle is regular except for the spotting I get. I am trying to conceive and now my OB/gyne is suggesting that I start on clomid. But I want to do it via the natural way first. We have only been TTC for 5 months. But my spotting has been going on for more than 6 months now. I am really sad....

Hi!
One thing to check is to be sure that your polyp was completely removed and has not re-grown.  If there are no polyps, your MD may want to consider supplementing with estrogen or progesterone, depending upon the thickness of your lining during the luteal phase.  
If you were my patient, I would prefer Femara over Clomid because it has less adverse effects on the lining and you seem to have a little difficulty with that already.

If you haven't already had an HSG you might want to do that--it would give you information about your lining AND your fallopian tubes.  
Also, don't forget to get a semen analysis.  A CD 21 progesterone level would be helpful too!
