Hi, i am 44 and a month old. I have 4 year old and would love another child. Wit 2 chemical pregnancy and seeing my clockwork period turning anti-clockwork my chance are slipping away. Cant afford private IVF in UK and dont qualify for state funded as i have a child and too old.
What are my chance and what can i do to get rid of this fibroid without any surgery and do you think it can prevent conception?
Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that your best option is with using donor eggs and IVF. It is very uncommon for women to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy at 44 (although I have seen it at 52). I would wonder if you would consider adoption? As far as fibroids--in your case your fibroid is probably not the primary cause of infertility, although it may be contributing. There are no "natural" methods of getting rid of fibroids, although there are some non-surgical options such as MRI guided focused ultrasound might be a possibility--certainly worth pursuing with your doctor. Good luck! Dr B
