Anyone Pregnant w/Fibroids?

As a result of all the pain and heavy bleeding after my first failed FET my doctor did an ultrasound today and found a 7mm Fibroid.

Anyone have any experience with developing fibroids as a result of all the hormones...I can't help but wonder??

Has anyone gotten pregnant with fibroids or treated them and then got pregnant, if so, how and what was the result?

Sharing your experiences is greatly appreciated. It seems like its one let down after another on this journey.

Be blessed.

Did the menopur replace the estrogen? I do believe the estrogen pills and patches they gave me for my first FET contributed to the fibroids growing.

I had IVF done in July and was on progesterone and menopur.  Most of my fibroids are really small, but I do have one that is big.

Oh wow! Did you do a FET? If so, were you on estrogen? I think the estrogen grew the fibroids.

You might want to try the shrinking with the medication, as your doctor suggested.  I too had and still have fibroids.  I have already had 2 myomectomies to remove fibroids. Once in my early twenties and again 2 years ago.  Each time....I was on lupron to shrink the size before I had surgery.

Although I still have fibroids, I am 6 months pregnant with my twin baby girls.  The size and location of the fibroids could effect pregnancy; however, I have been blessed and they did not effect mine.

Good luck and try to stay positive! It's really hard, and I can definitely relate! I am borderline anemic and have been for many years!

I started taking FB on Nov 15th '13 on the 5th day aftery cycle. I started my period on Dec 4th I am experencing heavy bleeding. Ive always had 3-4 day periods. However this month Ive been on about 8 days very heavy. I do notice change in my hormones like I did in my younger years. I am 41. I been preggo one time when I was 18. I am somewhat confused and wondering if I should stop FB. Im going to try out this month with my fingers crossed. I did however ovulate last month as soon as I started FB. what should I do?

I'm on LupronDepot injections. I had the first one on 11/27 and will be having the second one on 12/23. The bleeding stopped because my dr also has me on birth control pills until my second shot.

So I'm anemic, I'm in pain from this massive fibroid and I'm weak and dehydrated. Relief isn't coming fast enough, although I know it's coming!

I'm overweight as well and I feel so drained. I can't exercise until my hemoglobin gets back to normal...umph.

Frustrated and tired of being sick & tired!

Honestly, I'm obese and have 3 fibroids and got pregnant, I'm drinking something now to see if they shrink cause I don't wanna have the surgery, my mom wasn't able to have more kids because she had hers removed and something happened and she wasn't able to have more kids and my friend was having the surgery and some complication happened and they had to remove her uterus and she has no kids, so I'm drinking now beetroot juice with molasses to see if it works and if I get pregnant I won't have any problems cause is natural

Hello there,
Fibroids usually   do not interfere with pregnancy and conception. Sometimes fibroids can distort or block your fallopian tubes, and interfere with the passage of sperm from your cervix to your fallopian tubes. Submucosal fibroids can prevent implantation and growth of an embryo. If the fibroids distort the shape of the uterine cavity it can be a cause of repeated miscarriages. What type of fibroids do you have? Discuss the details with your doctor. In few cases it has been seen that removal of fibroids can enhance fertility and the chances of conception .If you have been trying to conceive since a long time without any success you should be consulting an infertility expert. Do keep us posted.
Best of luck and kind regards!
