Bleeding while Pregnant

I did the IVF procedure and I received my blood test on yesterday and discover that I am pregnant. I take another blood test on Monday (Wish me well). My doctor put me on some injections which is called progestrone in oil. Prior to the blood work and the injections, I started bleeding and also informed my doctor of this matter. He said if the test comes back postive then may have to put me on the injections, which he did. I took my first injection last night and the bleeding stop. But around noon today, the bleeding is contnuing. Do anyone have any clue of what's going with my body? Please Advise.

Are you cramping with bleeding?  And is it alot or a little blood?  If you told your doctor and it did not alert him than I would just take it easy for the next couple of days and keep your feet elevated.

Thank you so much. I can't remember the hcg level but I will find out for sure on Monday. Do you think anything different if one day I had brownish blood one day and bright red blood the next?

Everybody is different.  With my first child I spotted for a few days.  My sister spotted for 2 months.  The is no real answer for that question. Some woman get a period throughout their entire pregnancy.  You are going to be just fine.

Did the doctor say what your hcg levels?

I had lots of first trimester bleeding following ivf.  It was independent of progesterone or ivf.  Many women bleed during pregnancy often due to subchorionic hematoma or for other reasons.  I hope that everything will work out OK for you and your baby.Good luck!

It sounds like implantation bleeding.  Just try and relax as much as possible.  When do you go back to the doctor?

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yesterday when I started bleeding it was a brownish color with something looking like mucus coming out and today it is spotting kinda of a bright red color. I took a hpt to confirm the pregnancy and it came out postive. I pray that everything is okay. I know when I take the injections tonight the bleeding will stop. A little confused!

There could be a number of things going on with your body at this time.  First how much blood are you seeing  and what color is it?  You are still very early in the pregnancy and it could be implantation bleeding that is occuring.  Also when you become pregnant that causes your hormones to change and increases the blood supply to the uterus.  All you can do now is relax and wait it out to see how your blood levels change and if all is well which it is going to be your HCG numbers will double.  I am so happy for you.  Congrats!!!
