Clomid

Hey, I'm new to the forum. I just started back on BC for one month in order to induce a period, then I will begin Clomid. Any advice on what to expect?

You're welcome and ty. Yes, I've been "trying" but not, if that makes sense Lol.  Just going at it all natural and hopefully bding enough.  I'm going back to my gyno in January to see what's going on still.  I have really painful periods, had a lap and hysteroscopy in June of 2010 for endometriosis, cyst on my fallopian tube and a polyp in the middle of my uterus and I'm afraid my endo is back, but we'll see.
Oh that's good, the cd 21 blood work.  Please let me know how it goes!! :D

Thank you! I'm actually on CD 18 right now so I do have to go get CD 21 blood drawn. I'm sorry you haven't had any luck so far. Do you plan to try again at any point?

You're welcome!  I didn't get pregnant while being on it unfortunately.  By that time, trying to concieve for 8 yrs, surgery, temping, Bding and clomid I was tired.  I quit taking it after 3 months.  I have heard alot of people getting pregnant the first month and some it takes a couple of month.  Who knows, hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones!! :)  Not sure about it being a coincidence or not but have you had your cd21 progesterone checked?  Mine was low and had to be put on the nasty progesterone suppositories.  It's a simple fix, but well worth checking.  Anyways good luck, please let me know how it's going!! :D

Thank you!! So did you have a successful pregnancy with Clomid? I have been waiting so long, I am getting super impatient! I want it to happen fast, but I'm aware that it may take more time. I've heard of several people getting pregnant almost immediately and then miscarrying. Does Clomid increase this risk or is it just a coincidence?

OHH and I almost forgot, I had the vision problems.  It was temporary though, it lasted a whole 15 minutes and it did this 2 seperate times.  I could not focus on anything and it all was a huge blur!  And I had the lovely hot flashes.  Having said that, Would I do it again??  Yes!!

Hi there!  Ohh the clomid! lol.  Yes, I'll tell you about my personal experience since everyone is different.  It made me moody and very crampy.  Everything was good while I was taking it and then it came around time for ovulation and I started getting really crampy.  I get crampy anyways around my ovulation time and can always tell when it's almost time but taking the clomid, I honestly felt like my ovaries were going to explode.  I'm not sure if it was the clomid to blame for my moodyness though lol.  Around O time we're always moody, hormones different things going on but I think it's partly to..the meds, and the hopes of clomid being the "miracle pill" and what if it don't work??  all that going through my mind.  Another thing about clomid is it made me ovulate later than usual.  I usually O anywhere from cd17-cd19 and it made me ovulate on cd 21-cd22. When you're using ovulation kits 3 or 4 days can seem like forever!  Anyways, best of luck, I hope it works for you!! :)
