Does tender Breasts and tender Cervix come during or after Ovulation?

I am on CD 21, my breasts have became tender as well as my cervix to the touch. According to my BBT Charts I "O" on CD 22 because of the temp spike. I am guessing this cycle will be a bust too since my DH is on the road again. Just wanted to see what everyone thought about these 'new' symptoms.

OK, I see :-) Well, I have heard that OPKs just don't work very well for some women. You might already be doing this, since you're BBT charting, but if not, maybe you could chart your cervical mucus and cervical position as well. That would help pinpointing your most fertile days.

As for your DH being away, did you have a chance to BD before he left? Sperm can live for up to five days inside your reproductive tract (although, usually more like three days), and the egg can live 12-24 hours, so you might still have a chance. Also, just in case, make sure you BD when he gets back too (unless you've already recorded three high temps...by that time it's probably too late).

Good luck! I hope you get your BFP soon!

Yes, that is what I was meaning to say...Based on my past 5 charts I ovulated on CD 22..I was using the OPK for a while and got aggravated and quit using them....I couldn't catch my surge--- I tested @ 2p.m. and @ 8 P.M. like I have read to do but still couldn't catch it and according to my bbt charts I am ovulating because I have a clear thermal shift and my luteal phase is 13 days--- It was sooo much simpler when I got pregnant the first time LOL...I guess because I wasn't trying :) Thanx for the advice !

I'm not sure about tender cervix, but I usually get tender breasts after ovulation. However, I know some women start getting it right before they ovulate or as they ovulate, while others don't get sore breasts at all. So I guess it just varies from person to person :-)

However, I'm a bit confused how you can tell from your chart that you will O tomorrow (you said you're CD21 today and will O on CD22) BBT charts can only tell you if you've ovulated after the fact (after you've recorded a minimum of three high temperatures). That's why many of us use OPKs in addition, to give us some advanced notice, so to speak. Or are you saying that, based on previous charts, you normally ovulate on CD22?

Best of luck to you!
