IVF

I am on my fifth day post transfer and I am getting a lil worried because my pain is not as bad as I hear people they have. I had back pain on my third day and it also felt like I was about to get my period. Today the back pain came back. should I be worried that I am not pregnant? My blood test is scheduled to 10/7. Should I take a hpt?

I work for The Hospital of the Univ of Pennsylvania in Cat Scan, I work during the day so that helps keep my mind of if I am preggo. Talking with other people that are going through the same situation as me really helps out alot, I get online through out the day to see how people are hanging in there.

My Dr told me not to test before the 9th day, and since you had a 5 day transfer anytime starting 9 or 10 days would start giving you an indicator. remember even if it is a faint line it's positive. Also if you can buy 2 types the classical with lines and the digital. I personally prefer the digital as it will tell you clearly pregnant or not pregnant. But also remember if your HPT is negative do not give up as it will only test for levels 25mIU and above. With Beta HCG even if you have 12 or 17 they will consider it positive as long as it is increasing. Good luck again, I will do my 1st u/s on October 7 and you will have your test the next day, so we'll keep each other posted.

So if I had a 5 day transfer on Monday, what day do you think I should test? My beta is on Next wednesday, do you think Sunday would be good?  Luckily it is my second IVF and I am used to the negative, and i KNOW it is too early to test, but I have 6 more tests left! :)

I'd like to share with you what I went through while I did my 1st IVF on the 15th Sept. I felt nothing the 1st 5days then on the 6th day I started feeling period cramps and slight bleeding. I only did the HPT on the 9th day and it gave me positive. So it's better not to test before that as it will only give false results where in fact it could be negative. Also a bit of advice for both of you, try and take it easy, it's could to do something besides just stressing about the whole thing but remember not to overdo it cause implantation is going to happen soon. Good luck to both of you and keep us updated. Baby dust your way

No it is my second IVF.  I had back pain HORRIBLY last time and I expect to get it this time too, I just haven't yet, as a matter of fact I feel nothing today.  I don't feel like I could even be preggo and I worry about that!!! But maybe it is a good thing.  I took an HPT this morning (1 week before BETA) and it was a BFN but I KNOW it is too early.  We have to somehow get through this next week.  What are your plans for today, do you work?  I have a home daycare but besides my 1 2yr old, all the rest are before & after school kids.  So basically I have mid day free.  Today we are going to the library and then hopefully a small walk and I am going to clean my scrapbook area!  Then I can scrap.

Have a great day!

hehehe, My blood test is 10/8. I got a 5 day transfer yesterday, and I feel nothing today.  I am going to take a test, but I would wait a few days, maybe hold off until Sunday if you can.  We can complain together! Are you on progesteron shots? I am, they are making me wacky!!!
