Ovulation

I have posted on here a few times, got good replies. But now I have found out why it's taking so long on trying to conceive second child other than me having endometriosis. I am 24 years old. At the end of August I had an ultrasound done to find out why I've been in pain near my ovaries. Got the result on Sept 2nd. They found a tumor in my left ovary. Had biopsy done on it on the 20th of Sept. On Sept 28th got the best news I could hope for not cancerous. But it has stopped me from ovulating. I've been keeping track of my ovulation since the beginning of the year from my doctor's request. My last ovulation was April 16th. I haven't seen my period since April. Doctor placed me on a pill to get it back up and going. Finally seen it on July 15th. Then gone again. Did not ovulate at all in July etc. August and September all I did was lightly spot(very light pink) a couple times a week. When I got my result from the biopsy I did ask him a few questions and he had said that he's going to skip putting me on something to get my period going again. He's going to try something else. I am going back on Nov 9th, I can't remember the name of the pill that he's going to put me on but it's to help me ovulate and to supposedly get my period going again. I have to wait that long so I can finish healing from the biopsy.
I am nervous. It only took 8 months to conceive my son. My husband and I have been trying to conceive a second for 13 months now. But where I am getting at right now, I am a little nervous about is that I had very light pink spotting with just a little bit of brown to it and then it disappeared. I've also noticed that I'm getting more tired than I have been lately. Anyone have any ideas?

Boys are so much fun. My lil guy is a joy and my husband has two other boys (my stepsons). They are so great and a joy to be around. Our next child if we can conceive, we are hoping that it will be a girl but if we don't get a girl it will still be wonderful to add another to our family :).

Yeah, PCOS can cause that. I had a tumor in my left ovary which really messed up my cycles this year a lot of pain, stopped me ovulating but it didn't mess up my periods though. I started missing so many months after I had my son. I started out missing every other month to every three months- to a five month missed. Then my doc decided to do provera. Got it going again then it stopped from april this year to july had to go back on provera to get it for july. And then august spotting off and on all month. Then found out about the tumor had the biopsy then spotted for 3 days. Then nothing. Spotted again but for 2 days. It's driving me crazy. I also started keeping track on ovulation since Jan., had ovulation in Jan. No ovulation in feb-march. Ovulated in April then I haven't ovulated since. I am so hoping that once I get the clear from my gyno when I see him again in Nov he'll put me on something to help like he said he would and hopefully we'll be able to conceive. My lil guy who will be 2 in dec is already asking for a sister :) such a smarty pants. So hopefully finger crossed my doctor will help out and hopefully the meds work.

Oh forgot to mention. Just in case you didn't know about PCOS. If and when you get pregnant (and hopefully you do. Praying for you) PCOS also causes you to have boys. They don't know why that is though. But good luck to you and hope that you can get your precious lil one :)

No problem,

I have been off the pill since 2006 and as we were not trying, we were not preventing pregnancy.

went to the doc on monday for my clomid check.....all was good!  But It is now confirmed that i do have PCOS.

Which is the reason for my an-ovulation

Thanks for the advice. I have taken Provera to get my periods. That's the only way for me to have them. All home pregnancy tests have been negative for months. Too depressing on even looking at them cause I know that it will say negative. My gyno wants to wait for me to heal from having the biopsy done on my left ovary. By Nov 9th I will be healed enough to start the drugs to help ovulate. I haven't taken Birth Control since August 2009 when we decided to try for another baby.

Hello,

I take Provera to get a period and Clomid to ovulate.  You should take a HPT. Then at least you will know if you are preg or not.  Are you taking any drugs to help right now?

Taking Birth Control to help you get a period will help you have a period but when you take it, it stops you from ovulating!
