i am 5months pregnant (luckily its an almost symptom free pregnancy too!) with our first born and I have pcos and insulin resistance. i had irregular periods and annovulatory cycles. I was on metformin for 3months, preseed when ovulating which only happened when on metformin, seeing a chiropracter and reflexologist regularily (i think this was the bit that did it!). I was also taking evening primrose tabs, vitex and tribulus in cycle combination, contraception supplements, zinc and we bd nearly every night (but hardly at all the month we conceived - go figure!).
I truly believe the alternative therapies did the trick. I had a period that lasted for 4-6weeks and was as heavy as anything 2-3 year but after seeing the chiro for a few months i had 30days cycles that were 'normal' and i started to ovulate. a few months on met too and im pregnant! preseeds worth a shot also - its a sperm friendly lube that mimics the environment of cervical mucous. its not expensive and is available online.
best of luck and feel free to ask any questions!

i have been ttc for over 2 years with PCOS and i just found out i was pregnant!!!!  there is hope!  for me metformin and clomid 150 mg produced great follicles and ovulation was triggered by ovidrel.  i did 6 cycles of that with only 1 pregnancy that sadly ended in miscarriage.  my first cycle of gonal f injections and ovidrel trigger with iui was not successful.  and then finally---  this cycle i did injections of gonal f for 9 days and then triggered with ovidrel and had iui on cd17. i'm now preggo and feeling great!  i'm having a few symptoms but i would NEVER complain about them---i'm so happy to be feeling them.  i wish you all of the luck there is, it is soooooooo possible to conceive with pcos.  i am living proof!!!!!

I was treated for pcos with clomid. i ahd not had a period for about 7 months and then I was put on clomid 50mg and it worked very well. I got pregnant right away. That was 12 yrs ago and we are trying again. How any clomid cycles did you do and was it 50 or 100?
