Have him look into a vitamin called conception xr my re suggesting it for motility :)
My husband had 1% morphology on the first SA and 2% on the 2nd. Our RE put him on 2000mg of Vit C and a multivitamin. He stopped drinking. The RE said with those numbers he wasn't even going to attempt an IUI. We are going straight to IVF. I know all doctors are different and all situations are different. SSBD to you.
Thank you for responses!
We are going to try follic acid, vitamin C, B12, E, zinc ( or maybe multivitamin?) His count is good, dr said that only morfology not so good and mobility. My husband was under so much stress that week when he was doing semen analisys. Dr said it could be fom stress so he has to repeat in one month. Dh has 2 children from previous marriage. He is not drinking coffee or alcohol. I am on clomid second round, had 2 times chemical prego last year.
I hope it will happen soon...
BTW- there is a good book called 'Get Ready to Get Pregnant' by Michael Lu with an entire chapter on mens health.
AND I spelled folic wrong in my above post!!!!!!
My husband was put on follic acid to help with that. The strongest you can get ove the counter- we went to GNC. Hope this helps!
Our first Dr told my husband he needed surgery, but we decided against it. He has double varicoceles (one in each testicle). Our RE said that there are no guarantees that surgery would improve it so we opted for changing his diet, cutting out caffeine (slows down the sperm), took a good multivitamin, and he took 2000mg of Vitamin C. Some women on here have said they tried Zinc too, but I don't know much about that. He had 2% normal forms when we started all this and anything under 4% on the second more extensive morphology test is bad. Our RE was optimistic that if we try IUI it may work. I also have PCOS and we got pregnant after the second IUI. Oh we also took my husband off alcohol as well. Hope this helps. Count is pretty easy to fix, but morphology is not. Many couples have to do IvF. Good luck.
