Yes I have been temping for over a year now. Its easy I take it at 6:30 am before I get out of bed. I know i OVULATE As I had a progesterone test done Tues and it was 11.5 which is good. Its just a crappy waiting game. But I do have hope. Good luck to you as well.
Hey nina,
It's a relief to know I am not alone in this. I too was told if I did an IUI that would help me out. I really don't know if I want to do that yet. I really don't want to put my husband through that either. I think we will give it another year and see what happens. Good luck to you and the hubby. I wish you tons of SSBD......Keep on trying. Have you charted your BBT? I just purchased a thermometer yesterday but have no clue on charting so Iv'e been looking it up. Good luck!
I just went to my DR Thurs. I asked about my husbands morph-- it was 18% they told me that it was in the normal range.. I did fall pregnant in November of last year but miscarried in December of 08. I've been trying to get pregnant since then. with no luck..So I too am wondering about the morphology range. I do have hope .. I have done the clomid challenge once.. Two cycles of injectable with iui and still nothing. Who knew it could be so hard. But I do have hope. And I have been cleared nothing wrong. =(
Jenny! Thx! we are truly blessed :o) That's good ur enjoying time together, that's always nice :o) I hope u guys do get ur bfp very soon!!! Good luck!!!
Hey there,
I am in the middle of calling my doctor right now so they can fax over the test results to me and i will let you know what it says.....
((Hugs)) Thank you so much for the information. I thank you all so much for being so supportive and informative! it make a world of difference when you feel there is no hope!
OMG Congrats! That's wonderful news. Sorry it too so much trying, but it's such a blessing to have a baby on the way! I am remaining positive for now and we are just going to continue trying for a year. I really don't want to put my husband and myself through and IUI yet. I figure if I have the mind frame to stay positive and "NOT TRY" but try it will happen. I have done some research and I read that men with 14% morphology still conseived with thier partner natrually. I haven't lost hope. We are having tons of fun enjoying our time together so hopefully we get a BFP soon! lol
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
My dh has low sperm morphology but it was lower than ur hubby's like 5%. I say you try IUI...you would have a better chance than we did (I also have a blocked tube, but have had a baby before so not sure if that's what the cause our infrtility) I think IUI would be harder on u than on him... it was easy for him :o). We tried IUI 4 times with no luck so we went to IVF and now I'm just about 5 months pregnant. Good luck!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your support and I wish you soooo much success.....Thank you!
Hi Jenny,
I just wanted to post again because my husband had low morphology and we did our first IUI on the 12th and I just got my BFP this morning! So there is hope. We only had a 5% chance because he had 2-6% morph over several analysiss. So please let this be your inspiration that low morph and IUI can work.
Good luck to you, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers!
Hi Jenny:
Has your husband had more than one semen analysis? I know that one semen sample does not make a diagnosis of a male factor problem because men can have bad samples or could have had a fever or something like that which affects the quality.
Also, did the andrology lab evaluate your husband's morph. according to strict (Kruger) methodology? This is a much more exacting methodology and a lot of REs prefer it for this reason.
My husband had one sample with a low morph. but very high motility and a very high count. He had a repeat analysis and his morp. went up to the higher end of the low range and his count and motility were consistent. My RE said that ins. would not cover anything for male factor for him and she didn't seem to be worried. So...I guess what I am saying is make sure he has a repeat analysis (supposed to be done 70 days apart) and make sure the lab uses Kruger. Also, my RE said that my DH's higher numbers for count and motility can even out a morph. problem. How are your DH's other numbers??
I wish you the best of luck!!
PS: For your husband, it is just like doing another semen analysis. He will just drop it off in the morning and you will come in for your procedure a few hours later (usually). It's very quick too.
Hi! My husband has fluctuated between 2% and 4% morphology. However his count and motility are good. We have been trying for at least 13 cycles with no luck. I just had my first IUI last Monday and we are waiting for the results. I was actually curious about if anyone got pregnant with IUI and low morph. My doctor told me I had a 10% chance of conceiving. If this doesn't work we are moving on to Invitro because it is a lot of money for only a 10% chance. I know IUI has worked for a lot of people but I don't know if their infertility was related to low morphology. I hope that what your doctor said is correct regarding morphology not affecting fertilization. But I am still confused by this because I haven't gotten pregnant either. Every female in my immediate family has gotten preggers on the first try and so that is why I am skeptical.
Good luck to you!
My doctor also told me to have a IUI done. I really don't want to put my husband through that but I am going to give it one more year and if nothing then we will get it done!
Thank you so much for your response!
SSBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My DF has low morphology and slighty low motility. My Ob-Gyn said the Morphology really shouldn't be the thing stopping us from getting our BFP. Though now I am starting to wonder since it's been a little over 3 years. The RE said that we could easier get our BFP through IUI with low morph.
Good Luck to you! SSBD!!
