TESTING AFTER IVF

I have sort of asked this before, but can any of you ivf,ers give some advice if you've had same xperience or know probable answer. i am on 9dpt (3dt) pregnyl def out my system , got  a faint line 6dpt and v, v faint line 7dpt, then yesterday completely neg, so pregnyl out. took test today, neg-my test at clinic is in 6 days time(3rd may) but when do you think i may get  a "new line" if the hcg has secreted and i am to get a bfp. feel very low, and just dont have any symptons, dont want to think our little embie has slipped away. please help anyone.

thank you for advice, no i havnt heard of DHEA 25mg, will investigate, anything to increase my chances,you sound very like me, we are desperate to have another child and will try anything. keep in touch over coming months with progress on both sides, melissax

I´m so sorry to hear that, but keep positive. I had a failed IVF and then went for an IUI and that is how I conceive my beautiful son. I though it would be easy the second time around but we have has 3 failed IUIs, that is why I'm now going for an IVF again. The Dr said its my last hope.Hormones don´t sit well with me this second time I have very bad headaches, gain lost of weight (water retention) and am very moody, not to mention my skin goes very dry, but I don´t care as long as I can have another precious baby in my arms again.
I will be praying for you.


P.S. have you tried taking DHEA 25 mg? My Dr prescribed it to increase my chances, research about it

hello, just read your post. We did get the BFP but very sadly i miscarried a week later, bled not heavy but rang my dr for further blood test. my hcg was still rising so they said to take it easy and go for ultrasound in a week. I did and thats when they couldnt see anything on scan, no sac, no nothing, they took my blood and it had dropped right back to 23 hcg, i had miscarried, absolutly devastated, very low and tearful.
we actually have had a few days to reflect on this now and although we said 1 attempt and 1 attempt only at ivf we may reconsider. We are however going to try naturaly for a few months as you are meant to be more fertile after a miscarriage. As the ivf did work, i just miscarried if nothing by august we will have one more go at ivf, i will be 41 so i know time isnt on my side. i wish you well with your cycle, keep me updated and i will too. bye melissax

I hope by now you have had your BFP. I'm 41,I have and 11month old boy that I had through IUI, been TTC since January with 3 failed IUI's know going for an IVF next month as my last chance as we can't afford it any longer.
I pray that everything is going well for you and your baby is growing happily and strongly every second.

I personally think 6 days is to early to east & you were getting false positive.  I was testing positive on day 8 & 9.  Good Luck to you.

Hey,I'm supposed to taka my test on the 3d like you and I also had just one embie transfered.Also I'm older than you and I sooo want it to work-might be my last time-but I sort of feel it hasn't.I will definetely not take test before nxt week,there's no point.I would advise you to relaqx and take it easy till the 3d,que sera,sera.Taking more tests before the right date will only make you nervous.Best of luck!
