i have to do a natural cycle due to ovarian cyst.. anyways i've been posted at borders and walden books the last couple of days looking up eastern vs western fertility treatments etc.. these r some things i read, 81mg of aspirin every other day, from last day of af till cd1, robitussin or mucinex max dose on box from the last day of af till next cd1, accupressure and puncture, no coffee at all not even decaf, whole milk and icecream everyday no skim milk, lots of friut and veggies dailly, complex carbs, lean meat and other forms of protien, no simple sugars at all, no chocolate, no soda, no caffiene at all....  if ur overwieght excercise for at least 1 hour a day from cd1 till cd10 or 4 days before period.. then reduce to 30 min a day of low impact such as yoga and walking..... if underwieght stop excerise temporariliy or reduce to very low impact less than 30 mi a day..  bbt with urine stick or ovu watch and cervical mucous test.. if u can think of anything else please add it, knowledge is power

Sounds like you've been reading The Fertility Diet ;)  Great book, especially for women with PCO.

What you may not want to hear & I feel kind of bad mentioning is that the cyst may be your bigger challenge.  I had a left-over one one cycle & my RE said they can throw-off your hormones just enough that things don't work quite right.  It seems the little ones aren't a problem, just the bigger ones.  I've read conflicting things about BCP helping, but could be worth asking.

To add to your list:
- Organic foods, some say the pesticides can interfere with reproductive hormones
- My acupuncturist recommends some heat on the abdomen (hot water bottle/ nice warm shower) only during the first half of the cycle though.
- There are a few women who swear by pre-seed too... haven't tried it myself & can't say any of the other stuff really worked yet either but it never hurts to try.

Hope that helps... I'm obviously not a Dr. so take it with a grain of salt.

Hi!

I've been on my own for the last few months (sorta on my own, but that's another story ;))

Here's what I take...

FertileCM - CD1 through the day of ovulation
Mucinex (straight guafinsen) 1200 mg 2x a day for a week before O day (if you typically o on day 14, start taking it on CD7)
Wheat Germ Oil (a pill that is supposed to help with progesterone, among other things) - everyday of cycle
Prenatal vitamin - everyday of cycle (I think it's important to not go too cheap on this...I was buying a cheapie and then compared ingredients to a more expensive brand and I was cheating myself. You don't have to go top of the line, either, though)
Baby Aspirin - every day of cycle
**** Quai - CD1 until day of Ovulation....IMPORTANT TO NOT TAKE AFTER OVULATION!!

There are other herbs like Chasteberry, etc.  FertilityBlend is a nice mix of all of these and can be purchased online or at GNC (a little more expensive in the store)

The other thing that I think is important and easy to do is to stay hydrated.  I drink 64+ ounces of water during the first two weeks of the cycle!!

Research has proven that there is no such thing has a 'fertility diet' but it is important to maintain a healthy diet and balance!!

Good luck! HTH!!

k... here's what I can tell you... I have read very little about fertility in terms of what to eat or not to eat but... I've been on daily baby aspirin since the day after retrieval.  I have also been doing daily injections of low molecular weight heparin (Lovenox or Clexane). I'm now in my 11th week.
However, I was doing this due to 7 failed IVF cycles.
That said, there's nothing to stop you from taking the aspirin.  It doesn't hurt and can only help.
The no caffeine thing only makes sense.
You should also not eat beef that is not well done, apparently. But to be honest I don't remember if this is advice for trying to get pregnant or if it's advice for once you are pregnant.  Perhaps the latter.
Good luck.
