fsh

Is there anyone else out there who is trying to conceive with an elevated fsh (my level is 13 when the lab says >10 is normal)? Are there any success stories? I am only 34 and have been trying for 2 years now. I guess the next step is IVF (after 3 failed IUIs). My last blood test showed the level is still 13 but the estrogen level was invalidating the results because it was about double the normal level. I need to have some positive words sent my way as I have been down about this since the last blood test. Is there anyone else in the same situation? Thank you, Stac

If you cannot handle contraceptive pills because of the increased estrogen levels you could ask to take cetrotide injections prior to IVF which will lower both your LH and FSh.  i'm not sure what this does for estrogen but eating less dairy can lower your estrogen levels - also eating hormone free meat.  I had to take cetrotide before IVF to help prepare things (high LH and FSH).  I am 8 weeks along but things are tough going.  I think my ovulations are so weak that I am not getting sufficient progesterone.  I am trying to strengthen these ovulations with testosterrone and thyroid meds but not sure if these things will be enough.  Need to get progesterone checked even though the"IVF " this past time was a transfer with no meds included (natural system still running).  Wish you the best.  LAst time I was pregnant my cysts went away in the pregnancy but can you have them removed before hand.  I think this would make for a better pregnancy but i'm not expert!!

In my case, I'll go 2 months with contraceptive pills, and if FSh get decreased, I will start with IVF.
I keep fingers for all of us. Cheers!

Dear,
I have the same problem. I am 34 and my FSH is 13,2. My doctor proposed me in-vitro with ICSI. I am scared about the effects and consequences. Will it work for me? Only God knows.

It looks like IVF is my option. I am waiting for cysts to go away before I start the process. Good luck to you.

Hi there
When did you do the FSH?  usually with invitro they want it to see a level 3 days from the start of your menstrual cycle.

I had a friend at 32 that had the same problem but manage to have a baby thru IVF ICIS.

Good luck!!

Did IVF ICIS and proud momma at 42 with b/g twins
