10 lb weight gain whaoahah

Well so far since i've started the ivf cycle gone thru retrieval and transfer and all the drugs i've gained a total of 10 pounds! is this normal? I am super bloated and think my boobs got bigger too. Geeze. I was actually quite surprised.
Anyone else? Not that I am complaining because this is no time to worry about the weight, just wondering if its normal or if I should consult the physician!

Dont worry, I too gained about around 8 pounds when I did my IVF a few weeks ago, the weight gain started with the drugs then I really got bloated after the ret and transfer. I gained some extra 2 pounds now (I'm now 5 wks and 5days preg) and I'm even showing a bit around the belly, I didn't show with my 1st daughter that was conceived naturally untill around 4 months, so I guess all the IVF drugs and procedure will make you gain a bit more, But I'm hoping you will continue to gain with a BFP. We can join next year the weight loss forum (lol)

IVF tends to pack on the pounds, I put on about 12 pounds during the second cycle and lost about 8 in my first trimester of pregnancy...crazy stuff.

Wow, I can't believe all this....I guess its just the body getting ready for the little ones:) I am crossing my fingers it all works out! I almost thought some of the weight gain was due to all the gaderaide sports drinks the doctors told me to drink. Maybe it is the drugs. I do notice I am eating a bit more too, probably because I've been home bored! Awh well. Can't do much about it now right? lol.

Ok so now i am totally noticing its all in my tummy! I actually put on real clothes for the first time in the last few weeks (not sweat pants/joggin suits) and it looks like I'm pregnant because my tummy is all huge and i have not gained anywhere else! OMG what is that about? Is that normal? I am only a couple days past transfer.

Your ovaries are to blame for most of that.  My ovaries were so large that they were actually touching and were both the size of grapefruits....

I am right there with you and I haven't done retreival or transfer yet! I have gained about 12-15 pounds and eat like a pig!!! I TRY not to but I am craving carbs rediculously.  I don't know what I am going to do, just trying to wait it out and if I get a BFP I can then go buy maternity!!! Then yes, we start a weight loss group after that!!!

I know! thats what I keep thinking....if i get the bfp its all good, but if not----hmmm...i am so calling jenny craig/weightwatchers etc. lol. now my new mission is to try to hide this belly for 9 days until my test so people don't ask if i am preggo! thats the last thing i need right now...what should i say "almost preggo" hahaha. so i figure if i can hide it then bam! its all good and then if i get bfp its explainable and if no bfp well then i blame it on all the hormones and most of it should disappear rather quickly with some good ol'e excercise and diet, which then i can explain to friends as what it is. so i hold off for now, tryin to find some clothes to hide it---absolutely great that its starting to get chilly in connecticut and i don't have to worry about skimpy summer clothes!

I am in CT too!!!!! Where are you???? (Love those sweatshirts!!!)  I am in Lisbon, and yes, I am wearing sweatshirt right now, with shorts cause I still have the sexy legs! The stomach though....that I could do without!!!

Waterbury! Thanks, i love them too! My goodness I am feeling awful about this 2wwwwwwwwwwwww forever long and its not even 2w, technically its only like 9 more days. ughh is depression a symptom of 2ww'ers and what about all this sleepiness! I can't seem to focus on anything. somethings gotta give. I wish i could just get thru the week not thinking of any of this, first ivf too thats not helping i am sure. i just want to know so badly and can't:( its frustrating. i can't focus on my school work and have an exam in economics monday and keep reading the same sentance over and over with no clarity!! yikes.

The 2ww is the WORST!!!! And I don't know I have only gone through one, but another will be coming next week and I HOPE I am not as psycho as I was the first one, I was looking up EVERY symptom, as I am sure you are!!! Its hard not to!! I guess though, looking back, a little blood would have been good, but some say they never spot...so I am not sure.  I would just test!!! May drive you crazy, and cost some $$$ but who cares!!!
