12 days since my last provera pill, NO PERIOD - Can I start Clomid anyway??

by sunflowersNC, Jun 26, 2007 12:00AM
It's been 12 days since I took my last Provera pill (took 5 pills) and I haven't gotten my period, temps are still high.
Should I go ahead and start Clomid cycle even without a period or will the hormones in my body now screw up the effect on Clomid without having had a period first?
BFN 5 days ago. 18 days of high temps.
Also, should I notice a drop in temp on the day I will get my period?  (first time charting BBT.)
Thanks!

If you have not had an AF your endometrium is probably too thick to sustain a pg.  I think you need an AF before you start the clomid.

Yes your temps should go down when you start your AF.

good luck to you.

I would definitely wait for AF before taking clomid.  I too had to take provera to start and it took 21 days for AF to arrive.  My cycles were way long and very different from month to month.

Be patient and you too will soon have your BFP!

Not only was I on provera and clomid but I also had to take metformin, prenatal vitamins, estradiol and prochieve gel.  I got pregnant on my 2nd month of clomid!  I am currently 14 weeks.

Best of luck and sticky baby dust coming your way...

no doubt... wait for AF to come before you take Clomid unless Dr tells you to go ahead.  From what I have read, you really do need AF first.

I took Provera and it was a long 15-16 days after the last Provera pill before AF showed her face.  It effects different people different ways... Good luck and KUP
