Your wife needs lots of TLC and little naps to restore her fatigue whenever she can. Feeling tired is an unavoidable part of being pregnant and when are bodies tell us we are tired its mother natures way of slowing us down and making us rest.

Make sure she is nice and hydrated and drinking lots of water.

You could try introducing Low GI foods into her diet if she is not already eating them to give the body a steady stream of sugar and energy without creating a sugar surplus like wholemeal cereals and slow-energy release foods such as nuts, avocados, wholemeal flatbreads, oats and pulses, lentils, bananas, wholemeal pasta, rice, fruit, veg, nuts and seeds.

Avoiding high sugar foods will help as well as although they give the body a quick release of energy the body has to work harder to produce insulin which can feel draining especially during pregnancy. Avoid coffee, caffiene, sugar.... all the things our bodies crave when we are tired as sadly this is not good for the baby

The important thing is to try and eat as healthily as possible whilst pregnant and give your baby the best possible start in life and for her to listen to her body... don't overdo things and not worry or feel guilty about taking naps having early nights etc.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, heres to a healthy 9 months :)

Your wife will feel nausea, fatigue, headache, all kind of symtoms until at least 12 weeks.. You need to be patient and give her alot of TLC. She will be cranky and bossy but don't take too personal.. She didn't mean it.

There is nothing you can give her to get energy.  her body right now is baby making machine 24/7.  it will take a lot energy out of her.  if she get headache... give her tylnenol extra strengh.  do not give her any medicine without consult with the doctor.  drinking alot of water... always have snacks for her to munch.. that will easy the nausea.  Maybe ginger tea will reduce nausea too.

This is very critical time for her and the baby.  her body is changing to making baby, and the baby need all kind of nutrition so you might want to cook something for her to eat.  her taste will be off little...

Main thing you need to be there for her no matter what.   day or night... when she need you.  your support and your loving will get her through this.  by the time she in her 12th week pregnancy, she will back to herself..

congratulation and good luck to you and your wife.
