First - write down ALL the questions and concerns you have for your doctor before going in. I did that when I switched OB/GYN's. He was so happy that I did that. I also wrote down all of my symptoms and times it happened.
Is something still lodged inside you? That could def. cause more discharge....
I know that a lot of oral sex can cause UTI's and also yeast infections... and also if you are constantly taking antibiotics to clear up the UTI's that can also cause you to get yeast infections because the antibiotics kill ALL the bacteria - good and bad.
About the infertility - I would see a reproductive endocrinologis and they will do the necessary testing... I would probably do this after you get your results in from your reg doc from all the stuff listed above. Have you been diagnosed with anything that can cause infertitlity? (PCOS, Endometriosis etc...?) Good luck and keep us posted :) If you have any questions feel free to send me a message...
Do you have annual pap smears? If so, they would have know if there were anything lodged in the vagina.
UTI's and yeast infections can be signs of other more serious problems. Have you been tested for any STDs? I don't want to alarm you by any means, but recurrent infections are a red flag. Some women are just more prone due to the way the urethra is positioned, but others it is a symptom of another underlying problem. Be sure to discuss all of your worries with your dr and don't leave until you understand what he/she is saying. Sometimes, we can walk out of the dr and then realize we don't understand a thing they said. I wish you the very best!
Do what the other ladies said and go to the doctor and get checked out. Also as one of the ladies said, antibiotics kill all of the good bacteria and that will give you a yeast infection. Your UTI needs to be addressed. They need to run a culture and see just exactly what it is that you have - some stubborn bacteria. Sugar is bad for both UTI and Yeast - look at what you are eating. Drink plain water and diet cranberry juice. Cranberry is the one juice that helps - no other juice will - they will only irritate a UTI.
Sex can cause a UTI. Bacteria can get pushed up into your uretha from sex or foreplay. Try to get up and go to the bathroom and urinate (immedieatly) each time you have sex or foreplay of any kind. That will flush any bacteria out before it can make its way up to your bladder.
When I was your age I had a horrible time with yeast infections. It seems like I kept one all of the time. Every pap smear that I ever got they would tell me that I had a little bit of a yeast infection even though I didn't have any symptoms. What finally helped me was a doctor gave me diflucan. I had to take it about three times in three months but when I finally got rid of the yeast and got my body back in balance I never had another one.
Eat more yogurt and buttermilk (if you can stand it). Eat less sugar. Go for diet drinks and try to eliminate as much sugar from your diet as you can. Yeast loves sugar.
Ask your doctor to try treating you with diflucan. I always kept an extra pill at home just in case a yeast infection hit on the weekend or when I was traveling.
They don't want to give you much as it is hard on your liver but I promise it made the difference in my life. I have had one infection since my three treatments in 16 years.
