I have a regularRegular insulin 28 day cycle and exactly 6 days before my period is due to arrive I start spottingVaginal bleeding between periods. This has been going on for about 8 months now. It's very light and usually brownish. We've been trying to conceive for about 5 months unsuccessfully. I spoke with my gyn and she sent me for an ultrasound on 2/21 which showed that I was ovulating in the next day or so, but no other abnormalities. The spottingVaginal bleeding between periods is back again today (3/1). My gyn has told me not to worry, but I can't help wondering if the spottingVaginal bleeding between periods is a symptom of something else which is effecting our conceiving a baby.
If you had an ultrasound yesterday and they said you were about ready to o, then maybe the bleeding u have today is ovulation bleeding.
It happens in some womenWomen's way not all. Ask you doctor if that could be it. It just means your ovary did what it's suppose to do. Apparently it has some to do with increase (or decrease -I forgot) in estrogenHormone replacement therapy
I agree with Yvette about the spotting you have right now having to do with when you O. However, the other bleeding 6 days before AF is due could be a result of low Progesterone. I just read that and I'd just ask your doc to check your levels.
Thanks... I've read that on the internet as well and asked my gyn about it. She basically blew me off and told me not to worry. I guess I'll find a new doctor.
I have been experiencing the same problem. My husband and I have been trying for 3 years. My cycle has been exactly 34 days for the past 2 years. Prior to starting my period, I will bleed for 7 days. At times it is considerably heavy. Other times it is a light pink. I am going to be tested for progesterone levels. I ahve also been reading about luteal phase defect. I am going to my Re tomorrow to discuss this with him.
