Hey miky. Sorry to hear that.  If you don't mind me asking why did they test your TSH level while you are in the middle of your FET?  Was something wrong?  My Obgyn doctor perscribed my synthroid; I don't even have a endocrinologist.  I have been taking synthroid for years.  Maybe you can call you Ob doctor and have the results of your labs sent to her and get her to perscribe you some synthroid.  You definitely need to get on it b/c I think without it you are at risk for birth defects if you do get preggo.

they just ran the regular hormone tests at day 10 of the cycle.
The nurse said not to worry and og ahead with the FET but I think I should get the treatment before.this is sooo frustrating.
I can't believe is happening

rrrggg!  I just typed this reply and forgot to hit post so it got erased.  Anyway, short version.  I think the TSH is suppose to be around 1.  Yours seems very high.  I would call your RE or OB or both and see what they say before the FET b/c it can affect your fetus if your thyroid is not functioning properly.  I am so sorry.  I know it is very frustrating.  Good luck!!

Normal tsh range is  minor of 4.
I just spoke to my family doctor who told me that is not a huge problem but I need to be treated.and I cannot find a doctor who will see me before the 18th........................
I hate my body

Hi, I just want to tell you my experience.  My family doctor said mine was OK too. It was just on the high side of normal (like 5) but my Ob Gyn said that noooo, they like it like 1 or below when getting preggo.  I found this site if you want to take a look.

Normal TSH Levels DURING PREGNANCY
According to research, during a normal pregnancy, the following are the TSH normal ranges for an iodine-sufficient population without autoimmune antibodies...
First Trimester: 0.24 - 2.99
Second Trimester: .46-2.95
Third Trimester: .43 - 2.78

http://thyroid.about.com/od/hormonepregnantmenopause1/a/tshbytrimester.htm

also I found this:
a woman’s TSH level should ideally be less than 2.0, but she should also be thriving and free from hypothyroidism symptoms. If she reports symptoms, or shows a TSH level greater than 2.0, she may have subclinical or clinical hypothyroidism.

Thnak you for this..
I have to wait to get to the appointment and see what the doc. says.
In the meantime my RE wants to go ahead with the FET.
I feel its already a BFN without even starting.

I wish I had my results in front of me, but I don't remember my TSH level.  Also, is CD10 a good day to take that?  I thought they usually do tests around CD3.  But I may be confusing TSH with FSH so I'll shut up right now LOL.

by miky72, Oct 10, 2007 03:10PM
It true TSH is usually taken on day 3(with FSH) but I do not think it makes a big difference if its day 10

You know Miky, you need to be positive right now.  I am sure they would not be doing the FET if they didn't think it could work.  I am sorry if this got you down.  So get positive girl.  This is an exciting time for you.  I have read lots of people getting preggo with the FET.  When is your transfer and how many embies are you transfering?  Are they blastocysts?

by miky72, Oct 10, 2007 04:24PM
Hi Ilenda,
thank you for your kind words,I'm doing a little better now but when I first posted I really freacked out.
I have 3 embies 6 days but I still do not know how many they will transfer I guess it depend on how many will survive the thaw.
I really appreciate all your help.
I do not know how I would survive without this forum.
How are you doing?

by llenda, Oct 10, 2007 04:38PM
I am doing good. I am anxious to start my third IVF. Two BFN's.  I am waiting till the end of November to start.  3 embies six days is GREAT!  They must be strong to have survived.  I am sure they will survive the thaw.  I am excited for you.  Both my transfers were embies 3days old.  I wish they would wait five or six days.  I never have enough to do that.  I am feeling more positive this time.  I don't know why, I just am.  I have faith that if I keep trying it will happen.  And hey if it doesn't thats okay too (at least that is what I tell myself..LOL)   I think it is very exciting to see the folicles grow each day.  I do hate that TWW though, it seems forever.  I love to follow people from beginning to end so I will be watching and praying for you.  Good luck and SSSBD!!!!

Miky, I'm really sorry about this.. I don't have any experience in this area, so I can't offer any insight, but I'm really sorry.. what a freakin pain!!  It really IS NOT FAIR!!

Take care, I'm routing for you!!

miky...you are in the city, right?  I have a good RE on long island.  If you need his name let me know.  He's in Nassau county.

Ok just my two cents from my pharmacy experience, but thyroid function is extremely tricky and I'm sure that is why they are sending you to an endocrinologist.  It is so sensitive that once on a generic or brand drug or even a particular manufacturer of the drug they don't like to change you!  There are maybe only three drugs that I can think of that is true on and that is one of them!!!  Just do what they want you to do and you will be fine!  Thyroid problems are extremely common but are just tricky is all!  Good luck!

Thank you all for the advise and the thoughts,I'm so happy to have friends like you!
To ashort:I'm alrady going to a RE since we are in an IVF cycle and he is sending me to an endocrinologist to tell you the truth I also thought like you that being an RE (that means reproductive endocrinoligist..right???)he would treat me directly..Whatever I'll do whatever they want me to do as long as I can have little ones one day.
SSBD to all of us,
Miky
