BFP!!!

by stillwaiting52, Nov 04, 2009 01:41PM
I just got off of the phone with the nurse. My beta came back at 120 and progesterone was 53.2. I am so relieved, not a chemical pregnancy this time! I go back next Wednesday for second beta, I hope this little bean sticks! I am so excited, thank you all for your support! Sending out good vibes to all ttc!!

WOO HOO!!! That is a GREAT first beta! Why are they waiting so long to do another beta?

by LilyMF, Nov 04, 2009 08:25PM
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

How many days past ovulation was your first beta?  Usually the 2nd beta is done 3 days after the first.  Any reason why they are pushing you until Wed?

by Helen72, Nov 04, 2009 08:48PM
Wow, those are great numbers.  Congrats!  Good luck on your next beta.

by stillwaiting52, Nov 04, 2009 08:58PM
13DPO for first beta, they said they like check it in a week since it can vary so much for people.

by stillwaiting52, Nov 05, 2009 08:46AM
Thank you everyone! Should I call about pushing up the beta? Maybe it was high for 13 dpo, I don't know....

by jrjend0217, Nov 05, 2009 01:27PM
usually if your number is over 100 on your first beta, then they are not worry about doing a third day. then they just make you go back a week later to do another beta and ultrasound.  I have a question, how can you count how many weeks of pregnancy we are, is it from the day of the embryo transfer.

by LilyMF, Nov 05, 2009 01:39PM
You can basically use any pregnancy calculator that you can find online, but the easiest way is counting from the beginning of your last menstrual cycle.

For example,

if you last menstrual cycle began on OCT 1, 2009 then you would be 5 weeks exactly.
