Baking soda to help sperm live longer??

by babyseeker, Oct 15, 2008 05:22AM
I read somewhere that a baking soda ****** (1 tbs baking soda/ 1 quart water) may help lower the acidity in the vagina to allow sperm to live longer. Anybody ever heard of this or tried it? I have never used any kind of douching product. I am afraid because I normally have very little EWCM. Won't douching just wash out what natural lubricant I have?? Doesn't the sperm have to get into EWCM to get into the reproductive tract? If you wash it away with this mixture- is it still possible for the little guys to make it through the cervix?

I would say yes they would probly still make it, but I myself wouldn't try it. I don't get into all that remidy stuff it makes me nervous! I don't t hink a douch would wash it out of your cervix if anything just the vaginal tract, which most of the time (well hopefully :) when they are "released" they are at the end of the vaginal tract anyway. Good Luck to you!
