CA125 levels and endometriosis

Had an endometriosic ovarian cyst removed in Nov 2003 via laparoscopy. Then was able to conceive and gave birth in April 2005.
Now I've been trying to conceive again for a few months, and nothing so far... I'm concerned the endometriosis may have come back. I feel no pain, and the ultrasound doesn't show anything.
My doctor asked for a CA125 and the result was 40 U, slightly above the normal levels, though not alarmingly high... He has asked me to do it again, after my next period. Does this level already indicate that endometriosis is present? Are there any other tests I can do to diagnose endometriosis? Or is the next step the laparoscopy again? Didn't want to undergo surgery unecessarily, but I'm 36 (and still want a couple of children), so I don't want to "wait" this out... Thanx for any info.
