CLOMID AND FERTILITY

by ads883, May 09, 2009 08:32AM
HI....
I have PCOS and been taking metformin since Jan. I have also been on 2 cycles of clomid. First was 50 mg.....which was not successful. Then my doc upped it with 100mg. I thought this time I may get more eggs but unfortunately it didn't happen so.....this time I don't have any fertile eggs....I m very surprised by this....Is it possible that in spite of having a bigger dose I am not ovulating at all where as I did with lower dose?....I am a lil scared too as why it is happening....U cant help but get depressing thoughts.....Has this happened to anyone?

Hey,
I have PCOS also, and I just finished my first (unsuccessful) Clomid cycle. I started with 150 dose and did not ovulate at all. I asked my doctor (RE) if a higher dose was more effective and she said that not really. I still don't quite understand why people get different doses if it's all the same... I am also starting metformin soon. Are you going to be taking fsh shots as well?
