Can ovulation pains feel like menstrual cramping

This is the first time I have really been paying attention to my CM, body signals etc. Tomorrow will be CD14 but feel like I am having mild menstrual cramps. OPK negative as of this morning.

It could be... Did you use an OPK yesterday? Usually the OPK shows positive the day before ovulation, not necessarily the day of.

Yes I have been using OPK since monday

Oh, OK...Are you on any meds this month?

No. I am trying naturally . I am still nursing my son who I conceived through IVF as I didnt have a period for 2 years so I was surprised to start getting them now. I am hoping not to have to go the IVF route again.

I hear you! Natural is a lot less stressful (and costly!). That's great, though, that you're cycles are back on track! I was just wondering about the meds, because sometimes when you have more than one follicle, it can add some extra pressure as they get bigger (and closer to ovulation) which might seem like period-type cramps.

I would just keep using the OPKs then, and hopefully you'll get a positive soon. Although, if you've also noticed fertile cervical mucus, I would probably BD tonight...just in case ;-)
