Cervical Mucus

I am ttc and I keep seeing where everyone on here says to take robitussin or mucinex to thin out the cervical mucus. My stupid question is- when do you take either of these to do this? Do you wait until you are ovulating or what? And do you take a certain type of Robitussin? Sorry for the dumb questions but I really have no clue.

If you already have good Cm you don't need to take these things. I took Robitussin because I am on clomid and that decreases CM. I was told to take it for 6 days. SO I started it after af stopped until after my temp showed O. It did seem to work. I am now 8dpo with promising signs. HTH

I don't really have good cervical mucus. I have ordered Fertilaid and FertilaidCM and then saw all the postings about using Robitussin and Mucinex and didn't know when you were supposed to start taking either of the to help. Thank you for your response.
