Clomid- Hairloss and...

by Lilyb, Apr 23, 2009 04:32PM
Ok, this is so weird. I have been experiencing a massive hair loss after my miscarriage last year. The hairloss was so bad that I lost more than half of my hair. I started Clomid two days ago, and suddenly the hairloss stopped!!! like not even one hair! I dont want to jinx it by saying, but I was wondering if any one can guess why this is happenning? if Clomid stops my hairloss, what could be the cause of my hairloss?

Thanks
Lily

Most likely hormones

Do you have pcos?  pcos can cause male pattern hair loss, if you do maybe your hormones were thrown out of whack by the mc.   I'm so sorry for your loss, i hope you figure it out.

Hello,

Clomid can cause or be linked to cancer only if you use it for longer than 12 months, generally you would only be on it for about 6 months before you then might go on to IVF.

Lily I am really sorry about your miscarriage, I used Clomid and found that I have lost large amounts of hair from being on it, I also have done 2 stimulated IVF cycles and also found large amounts of hair to go, I finally just got pregnant and I also finally noticed 2 days ago some new hair growing, but my hair has become so thin from all the hormones and I have pcos.

Best of luck to everyone take care!
