Has anyone here achieved pregnancy with Clomid or know someone that has? I'm supposed to go on it next month and I'm just curious on what the chances are.
I am on my first round of clomid, and as of right now I cannot tell you if it worked for me or not but I can tell you it has helped me to ovulate for the first time ever. I will let you know in a few weeks if it helped me or not.
I've had a few friends who took clomid and it worked... two had one son and one had twins (she was just on 50 mg for 2 or 3 months). I haven't been successful yet with clomid (though we're blessed with one daughter), but it seems to be making a difference. We had my dd in 2004 and we've been TTC for #2 for almost 2 years. I was charting and doing OPK's, but it was very irregular...I was rarely seeing the temp shift or more than a faint line on OPK. I started on clomid, did 50 mg for a month, then 100 mg for 2 months with no response. I went on 150 mg and we finally can see big follices. I'm assuming you'll be having day 3 and day 12 ultrasounds...when I first started I was with OB/GYN and they didn't do ultrasounds til I asked for them...and they were covered under insurance at OB/GYN, but only diagnosis (on our ins) once I started at RE. You can hopefully see how you're responding. "They say" that if you're going to get pregnant with clomid that it'll happen w/in 3 months, but it probably depends on your situation... with me, I didn't respond til month 4 and I only have one tube, so I only have follicles on the correct side every other month... And we just tried IUI yesterday and it turns out my dh's sperm is now low!!! (was 32 million w/ 50% motility in the fall; yesterday it was less than 1 million w/ 16% motility...) Anyways, I would say definitely try the clomid, get the u/s's done and if you don't see an improvement, up the dose. Good Luck!
There are a lot of women in this forum who had good results with it.
