All-As for me i am CD22 and 7dpiui so I am half way through the wait. My nipples have been very tender for several days now the whole boob is sore, but I remember this from last time. I am still so crampy and bloated and I don't remember that I just figured that is from the follistim, but I don't know because I have never taken it before. Sorry if I missed anyone but you are all in my prayers and sending everyone SSBD:-}

FINALLY af arrived today...thats the good news the bad part is we have to wait til the next cycle for iui...if af would have started on time I would have been in the 2ww and known if were were bfp before surgery now re said to wait til after surgery we will have time because I will be off 6 wks...I will keep watching the post good luck to all and God Bless!

Melandby: thanks and sending a truck load of SSBD to you, I did Gonal F injections before its similar to Follitism and my breast and nipple and breast was so sore, and very bloated. 1 week to go hoping and praying you get that BFP, I was holding off because I am going into IVF, but I couldnt resist.

Hello Everyone~

Well, my cyst IS producing estrogen...no IUI this month.  I am really trying to stay positive through all of this, but finding it hard!!  Still meeting with RE on Fri...NOW thinking about doing IVF again (since I have to be off this month anyway).  I feel like the months are just wasting away...I'm turning 39 in May!!!

Sorry to be so negative.  Going to have a glass of wine and read your more positive posts.

Shellbell late O can be caused by illness, stress, travel. Actually any number of things. There is also some months where we just do not O.  Has happened to me and it is very frustrating.

Tab, I am 6dpo and am having sore bbs and weird stabbing/pinches of pain.  My temps are also higher this month than they ever have been. Even higher than when I was pregnant with my daughter.

Hi girls!

Sorry I've been away for a couple of days...I've just been a bit discouraged (and preoccupied), since my DH got a bad infection on Monday with a fever of 103.5! and we have retrieval coming up next week (if all goes as planned). He's a lot better today, but I just hope his little swimmers are OK too. Talk about bad timing! I know the fever can lower sperm count, and one of the meds he's one says it can affect sperm too...

As for me, I'm doing well! I just took my sixth injection and had an ultrasound earlier today. So far I have about 10 follicles, and the biggest one is 15 mm. My estrogen was also checked and it was 775. So I'm still continuing on the exact same dose. Today is also the first day that I'm actually noticing a little bit of "pressure" around my ovaries...especially when I have to pee!

Shellbell: Wow! Sounds like you timed it just perfectly!!! Since you didn't use any OPKs before the positive ones, it's a bit hard to say exactly when you ovulated, but I would guess probably sometime yesterday! Best of luck this month! Maybe you'll get your BFP before having to move on to IVF! As for me, yes, this is my first IVF, and like you we have unexplained infertility. I've been pregnant twice, but both ended in a miscarriage...so no kids yet. Hopefully, it'll happen for both of us very soon!

wannahaveababy: Yeah, I know what you mean. When the nurse brings the sample in for the IUI, it's just in a small test tube...but before she goes and gets it, it is stored in an incubator-type machine that keeps it at the right temperature...if that makes sense. As for the numbers decreasing, I'm not really sure, but hopefully it's just a coincidence.

kramik: Yay! Glad to hear you finally got your positive OPK! Got my fingers crossed for you this month!

Still on break from medicines/injections..i just want to ask for those who uses ovulation kit..how much did you bought the kit?in our place its very hard to find..ive search online its cost $46.00 shipping includes...and what brand do you think is the most accurate one?..since im on natural cyle i just want to use OPK for now to monitor my ovulation period..its very hard for me to detect coz im very irregular!huh!...thanks in advance for your info!..

Had my appointment yesterday and all is well for me to start IVF. I am nervous and scared.

hi everyone,iam going to start my 2nd IVF this month,iam doing natural FET,that means no medicine,i have to track my ovulation baised on that they will decide my transfer.my story TTC from last 5 years,3 failed IUI's,did 1st ivf in feb no luck.& now 2nd.i hope we all get BFP this time,lots of babydust to all.

BETH: i use clearblue easy ovulation kit one of the best & accurate one,it shows smily like shellbell mentioned :7 in a pack coast between $40 to $50.& now the new pack comes with 1 pregnency test free.

Beth: I used ClearBlue OPKs, for the most part, and it was just the regular ones, not digital. I think they're a little over $20 here in the US. The only problem for you, though, is that if your cycles are irregular, it's hard to know when to start testing and you might end up going through more than one box of OPKs before detecting your surge. What's the approximate range of your cycles?

Beth:  You can buy OPK's on ebay.  I just bought in bulk and paid like $25 for 50.  There are different quantities that you could buy.  Sometimes they have bulk that inclucd pregnancy test strips as well.

Everyone:  Just went to the OB for my post op check.  Mostly it was just asking questions about how I was feeling.  She said that if my period doesn't come in about 2 weeks, I can take provera and start clomid!!!!  GREEN LIGHT MEANS A GO!!!!!  Plus we have no restrictions anymore.  YAY!!! They do IUI's for cheap, so I might be checking into that for at least 2-3 cycles w/the clomid.  I am SO READY to begin again. :~)  

I have been keeping all of you in my prayers, and I hope there are many more BFPs to come!!!!!  Sending lots and lots of SSBD!!!!!

Hey all... busy busy busy here!!! Getting ready for kys big 3 :o( I had my HCG shot today and I am feeling ok.... I know I will be sicker than a dog tomorrow and man the dr does better than Chad it hurt!!! I guess because it was cold and he stuck the cold needle I wanted to kick his tail!!! Oh well...
Shellbelle we will be pretty close again and maybe it will work this time since you are starting IVF next cycle. We talked about it and there is no IVFs or IUIs in the future and if it doesn't happen this cycle or the next we have to take a lil break because of money. Heather I hate that about your hubby, is he feeling better???

hi heather, my ovulation always fluctuate min 10 day to max 18th day.so that y they start tracking me from 10th day,i went for my US today they said my follicle size is only 12right now ,& uterus lining is 8 they ask to come in for another US on mon.so mostlikely anytime next week i will ovulate.as i said iam doing acupuncture right now but i was concern becasue she wasnt specialist for infertilty,but today iam so happy i found a place where they do only for infertlity related,so iiam going to start nextweek.they gonna do twice a week too.i want to do everything i can from my side to make it sucessful.letsee.

Everyone: So I had another checkup today, and I now have 14 follicles...the biggest one is 16.5...and my lining is 10.6. I never heard back on my estrogen level, but that might be because it's the weekend. Either way, my RE told me to continue with the same dose of everything and come back in on Monday. He said most probably I'll be ready for trigger Monday night and egg retrieval Wednesday morning! I can't believe this is really happening!!!

Oh, and my DH is feeling much better again! Thanks to everyone for thinking of us!

Hey all. Yesterday was so busy!! My baby is three!!! :o(

Heather I had the shot in Friday morning around 8:30 est.

All: Maybe someone can answer this question. I woke up this morning with spotting, I called the dr so they know. What could be causing this, I have never had it at all. I am so upset and trying to keep calm since we have company over this morning and will have all day. I just want to cry and Chad went out of town and is unreachable right now, so I have no one to talk to about it right now. I will keep a check on here all day, or when I can.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I'm now on my last or next to last day of stims (depends on how things look tomorrow), but my breasts are already starting to get tender on the sides! I hope that's normal when stimming for IVF, because I usually only get that after ovulation. Other than that, I've really not had any side effects...except for a little bit of "fullness" in the ovary regions. Especially when bending a certain way, or when I really have to pee. I have my next ultrasound and b/w tomorrow morning and then most probably trigger tomorrow night!

Hi gals...had not posted for a few days. I was actually in Orlando, FL at a kid's resort. My partner has a six-year old girl from her previous relationship and she lives in Ohio with her biological mom. So, we took her to the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando....kinda sad to see so many cute little kids....and it just seems so hard to get pregnant. So it was relaxing....bu bittersweet for me. AF was due Saturday and never came, so I went to a CVS pharmacy near the resort and got a BFN. I was heartbroken. Then, later Saturday night....I started some very light spotting....only visible because I was wearing a tampon....Then, as I changed it...noticed the same spotting. It is really, dark, dark, dark brown......it kinda looks like poop...and then there's a few bloody spots...it looks like the beginning of AF...but much darker. It is really weird, as I always get AF every 27 days....and nothing has happened. So, I will test tomorrow morning again if full flow doesn't come and hope for the best...I will keep you guys posted. I probably will be cancelling appt at RE, since they don't like to screen me until I have a full flow and if I get a BFN, there's no sense in going in. I will have to wait longer....

As for me I am 11dpiui and having beta wednesday. My boobs have been so sore for days that I could just cry, I can't even sleep good because I sleep on my stomach and they hurt. I also have had contant pains in the ovary and hair line area and I don't remember any of that from the previous cycles, but I know I am probably just reading to much into it. I have also been having days that i feel real nausiated and feel like i am either going to be sick or pass out.

Hope everyone gets their BFP's soon so we all can be mommy's!!!!!!!:-}

Melandyb - I hope your signs are a BFP!!!  As for me I am trying to stay positive but I am so nervous that it is going to be a BFN for me.  I had sore bbs again like my first cycle with the injections.  Last month they hurt so badly shortly after my IUI and then as I got closer to AF's arrival they were less and less sore.  That is what is happening again this time :(  I hope af doesn't show!  A possible good sign is that I have felt some twinges or cramps over the last several days here and there.  Sending POSITIVE Sticky Baby Dust Vibes to us both!!!  and Everyone!!!

I had may 1st IUI  this saturday April 4th.TTC 1 and half yr.Its UNEXPLAINED..its the worst coz you dont even know the exact problem.I was on Clomid 50mg this cycle and took the HCG shot on 3rd april.There were 3 folli's 1 in good size and 2 still growing on CD12.RE asked to come back on CD14 for u/s nd 2 smaller folli's were gone but she gave me the shot as there was 1 good size follicle.
I am just wondering is 1 follicle enough to get pregnant.Coz i read here ladies with multiple follicles and failed IUI's. And also if anyone could tell me what to expect after IUI.
How to do BBT i nevr did that..

Update-  Sorry I haven't been as active as I normally have been.  We had a dr appt on Fri to decide our next steps, after, my DH said....let's go to the "shore".  So we went home, packed our clothes, necessities and puppy and sped toward the shore.  While there I thought of a few things!
1- Both IUI's that I had implantation with, had been followed by a trip there
2- I ate crabs on both of those trips (I am now researching that's not good!)
3- The sun is good for me...as I am now burnt and feeling sooo goooood!  Vitamin D?  Can it be?

Not sure what my next move is, other than moving to the beach for the 2ww!

Hi girls,

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I had my ultrasound and b/w today and I guess I'm ready!!! So I'll be triggering at midnight and retrieval will be on Wednesday! I'm nervous, but also excited! Hope they get lots of good eggies!

As for me no AF yet.  GRRRRR....Oh well...I will begin Provera on 4/17.  That will be 1 month from the date I found out I lost my little angel, and almost 1 month for my d&c, so if my AF doesn't come by then, the doc gave provera to begin.   I hate not having normal periods.  I guess that is just part of having PCOS :~(  Anywhoooooo, we are excited to begin our new journey!!!!

Well the twinges ended up being a good sign!!!!!!!!  We got our BFP!!!  I am going in for beta tomorrow!  I am in shock, I just never thought it would happen!  After so many negatives you begin to think it (at least I did).  I just pray that I have a healthy 9 months ahead of me!

ALL: My news aren't the best. AF finally arrived yesterday, after 2 BFN's. I stayed home from work yesterday and did all my crying. I do feel better now and ready to start a new cycle. I am going in for screening tomorrow. Please you all....pray for no cysts, so that I can start Comid tomorrow, cycles day 3-7. That seemed to have worked better than the clomid, cycle days 5-9. Anyway, I already ordered my sperm and am looking fwd to getting started tomorrow. Appt with RE is at 9:40am....I will post sometime later tomorrow and let you all know how things went.

For all of you whom I didnt mention...I still think about all of you and have u all in my prayers. I really love this forum's positivity and get so excited and happy when I read about those BFP's. GO TAB and JENNIFER! Cheers!

As for me, now no symptoms which is weird since I had the HCG on Friday a few bits of morning sickness. The progesterone is ok now, I had to get it switched on Tuesday and started it then since normal progesterone has peanut oil in it and I am allergic to it. Other than that I am ok. Getting ready for kys pageant this weekend, wish her luck. This is her first one back since september.

All- Well nurse called and I finally got my BFP!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy I can't quit crying. I can't even talk to DH because he is in a meeting. My HCG was 497 and I go back on Friday for another one but she said everything looks great. I will be praying that each and everyone of you get you BFP!!!! ALL: i went for my ultrasound today day 13 after A/F. my lining:-9mm,follicle size:18mm,so RE said i will ovulate anytime from today to day aftertomorrow.the day i will get poitive on OPK,from that day count as 1 they will transfer on 6 th day.i so my transfer will be anytime nextweek between 14 to 16.pray for me. u all r in my prayers.i have feeling we all will get positive this time.goodluck to everyone. lots & lots of baby dust & sticky vibes.

Heather5:  I gave AF directions to get to mwhitcomb's house and left town to avoid her aggravating presence. but with my luck and her low IQ.. she never found Mary's house, did circles for two days, was late, but came right back to my house on Monday. She came in thru the back door....At least I won't have to see her ugly a s s on Easter Sunday. I think I am going to make her a very special easter basket. It will have tons of edible Easter eggs filled with yummy laxatives. This way...that s u c k e r will be punished and unable to come anyone of us this month after our procedures. We are gonna have to blow away her c r a p p y    a s s  with Mandy's very own personal toy.

On a more realistic note....I am very excited about your upcoming transfer. I know you're gonna bring home those twins DH always wanted....lol


ALL: My screening was a success today. NO CYSTS! yaaaay! Antral count is 9...two on the right ovary and 7 on my left. I keep telling my ovaries that I am right-handed, but they don't believe me and remain doing the left-sided deal. I appreciate everyone's prayers and good wishes and am very glad to have been able to take Clomid today. I hate the side effects of this drug...but I swallow it every day with happiness cause it has worked before and it continues to help me fatten up those follies. My next appt is next Weds, c/d 9...I think. They will be doing U/S and E2 levels. IUI is expected on Friday or Saturday next week....SSBD, hugs, and kisses to all!!!

Hey, sorry havnt been on for a week.  AF did arrive.  İm now CD6.  İ start work in May and im a transfer rep for a holiday company.  So its working at all times and lots off hours, so dont know if we will ttc this month.  Might wait till next month when im settled into a working routine.  İ only work 6 months of the year.  But then it might be my good side that ovulates this month.  İ will just wait and see.

OMG! Another BFP! Yay! Congratulations, melandyb!!! That's such wonderful news!

OK...sorry I've been MIA for the past day or so. I did have my retrieval yesterday, and everything went well...but I have to admit, was a little bit discouraged that they only got 11 eggs, since I had about 14-15 follicles. BUT, guess what??? The embryologist just called me and all 11 fertilized!!! Yay! I'm so excited about that! Can't wait to hear the progress on Saturday (I guess they prefer to leave the embryos undisturbed on day 2).

The only problem now is that I can barely walk!!! With only 11 eggs, I can't imagine it would be OHSS, but at the same time, I'm seriously hurting here! Cramping (feels like gas pain, kinda), bloating and some weird "stiffness". I've been looking it up on the internet all day, and I guess I'm not alone, so we'll see how it feels tomorrow. If I'm just as bad then, I'll probably go see my RE.

Hope everyone's doing OK! I'll update the list and go through the rest of the post a little bit later today!

As for me I am 9dpo and only thing I have is a headache everyday and being tired bbs don't hurt and the crampiness has been gone for a couple days now.  So I guess I will have to wait and see if AF shows up on Tuesday or maybe I will give in and test before then (who am I kidding)  LOL

heather:thats great news all 11 fertilised,iam happry 4 u.& good for transfer.heather u will feel bloting ,real real cramps& constipation for 2 days then slowly slowly u will be fine.when i had my rerivel last month they retrived 25eggs,for 2 days i was in bad bad pain i couldnt even walk straight,my D/H use to take me to restroom but in 2 days i was ok.drink lots & lots of fluids.u can use heating pad in ur back that will comfort u.takecare.

Hey ladies - I haven't commented in a few days...just been a little stressed.  I went in for an US today on CD 12 thinking that they would say I needed to come back next week.  My lining was 9 and I had a my follicle was 24!!!  I was shocked!  We did the trigger right there and I am heading back in there tomorrow morning for the IUI.  Looking forward to it this time and feeling positive!

Pearl: Hang in there! I know how sloooow the 2WW is, especially after a treatment cycle...but I got my fingers crossed for you!

Agini: Wow! Sounds like you're almost there! Looks like we'll both have our transfers next week! My embryologist told me today that my transfer day will be Monday (so a five-day transfer). They'll call with more info after checking on the embryos on Saturday. Oh and thanks for the info on the pain and bloating. Maybe I'll try a heating pad tonight :-)

BabyMamas: You are too funny! Glad you got to take out your frustration on AF. She has some nerve coming back after the first time...That's great news, though, about the all-clear for this cycle! You know what's funny...my left ovary is also the one that always have the highest number of antrals, and my RE would always say that my ovaries look good, ESPECIALLY the left one. The right one would usually only show about 3-4 antral follicles. Well, guess which ovary produced the majority of the eggs for the IVF? That's right, the right one!!! They counted at least 10 big ones on that side with possibly a few smaller ones. On the left, I only got about 4-5. So you never know!

Baby4Shellbie: Just wanted to wish you best of luck with your decision. I hope you get to see that BFP very soon, regardless of what route you and your DH decide to take next! Hugs and SSBD!

I am so excited for you! WOW....11 fertilized. You're gonna turn into octomom before you know it. LOL So, how many are you REALLY looking for? So girl, I still think the left is going to do the trick in the end. Heather-Great news on the 11 eggs fertilizing.  That is truly a blessing!!!  I am soooo ecited for you as you are an inspiration to us in how strong, caring and determined you are... :-)

All-I have been away for about a week as I have recently returned from ky bday cruise.  My DH and I had a wonderful time.  Words cannot express how nice it was :-)
To top it off, I received suprise after suprise this weekend from my hubby and the cruise staff.  They really know how to make one feel special on their bday :-o)  I LOVE hime dearly!!!

I am going to continue to pray for all of us here on the forum.  God does indeed answer prayers as witnessed by the BFPs being spread around the forum one blessed woman at a time.

Melandyb: Wow! You have to have the fluids drained?!! I hope it helps and that you feel a whole lot better after! I know what you mean about the breathing thing. It's kinda like only being able to take super shallow breaths. Thankfully, I feel better today, so I'm hoping it will continue to improve over the next few days. BabyMamas: Ooooh, no! No octomom here. LOL! Two would be nice, though...but no more. My DH is hoping for one, but would be OK with two. He cracks me up, because he's so worried about me getting pregnant with more than two. So I told him that there's no way that would happen, since they're only transferring two embryos. So he replied, "Well, you already have twins in your family, so what if the embryos split?" And he's right. My dad and uncle are twins, and my cousin also has a set of twins. Hmmm!

Back from the RE - and the IUI was a success!  My husband broke their record with 837.7 million sperm!  Holy COW!  The total normal count was 670.2 million!  Also, he said that my egg was releasing right then, so it was perfect timing!  My lining was almost 11!  I am pretty pumped!  Apparently it was EVERYONE's day to ovulate because there was about 20 people waiting...I waiting for 2 hours!  Now, I am in the 2WW - and I hope it is stress free...with a Christmas baby!

Funny, you and your DH sound like me and my partner. I would love a pair....girl and boy, or two boys. And my partner only wants one. I also have twins in my family, so you never know. And I hear that your odds of having twins increases after 35....contradictory...considering fertility declines drastically at this same age. How old are you again? lolol

As for me i am now 8dpiui ,...I am taking prometrium..i get dizzy always but i fainted yesterday after 1 hr taking that pill...is it common and a side effect of prometrium..or is it something else i should worry about...And also my boobs started hurting yeasterday..they r very sore..i cannot even touch..this happens everymonth 1 week before AF starts ..so I think AF will be here next week :(  When can i take the preg.test

Great news heather!!! Sending that snowblower to you for tomorrow. As for me, ky got sick yesterday evening around 4 with a cough and it turned into the croup fast, fastest I have ever seen. They gave her steriod shot and some to take at home. I just couldn't believe how fast it hit her, she was fine at 2. Good news though, she did win her pageant!!!!!! She looked so cute, I will put a pic up or two for you all to see tomorrow. As for me feeling wise other than exhausted, I have had a few cramps and a dizzy spell last night, but nothing else. I will keep you all updated.

Thanks to all your infos regarding Ovulation kit... hope i can find less cheaper..im hoping it would help me monitor my ovulation period..but as heather say im irregular when is the proper time to test..???thats the big question for me now..any body has an idea???tnx.

I was irregular too. I start testing on Day 10th to day 22nd alternate days. and i found i ovulate on day 20th.Earlier I use to test on day 9th,10,12,14,16 and 18 and thought i dont ovulate at all.Then my doc told me as i am irregular i should test till day 22..it worked:) I used CLEARBLUE,it has 7 in it.

Hey gals, no symptoms for me except headaches and a few dizzy spells. I had a few cramps thursday and they stopped. Some nausea not a lot. Today is our 8 year anniversary so I am still crossing my fingers but trying not to get my hopes up. The progesterone is working so far so good, no spotting!!! :o)

ALL:   I had my US/E2 levels today. I have three follicles...a 21.5 on the right ovary...cooking nicely...and got a 20 and a 13 out of the left side...developing, as well.
Endometrium is 10.5 and E2 was 413, so I was instructed to trigger/ give HCG tonight, for insemination on Friday morning at 9am. Please keep us in your prayers. Hoping for a sticky BFP this month. Hi girls,

Just wanted to thank everyone for thinking of me and for all the kind words and baby dust! You're the best!!! :-) Well, I had my transfer on Monday. My RE transferred two blastocyts...but they were both only early stage blasts. One too soon to grade and the other a 1BB. I just hope they're still growing in there and that they're getting nice an comfortable for the next nine months!

I have to admit I was a little discouraged on Monday, since the doctor had hoped they had grown a little more before transfer, but I feel better today after the embryologist called and said that of the remaining seven embryos that made it to day 5, five had reached the appropriate stage for freezing...so hopefully that's a good indication that the two transferred also continued to develop the same way...and that they're continuing to develop and implant as we speak!

wannahaveababy & Quinns Momma: I'm so sorry to hear about AF! I hope she'll stay away from now on and that your BFP is just a cycle away!

Yeah it was a bummer but I knew it allready. Maybe since we will both be on this cycle we will both get our BFP's its been so super crazy around here I haven't thought about it that much. But I do know that I will need progesterone. Are you getting excited?

Just a quick post to let her everyone know that I had my IUI today. The count was 5 million. The sperm sample was not the best size.....but guess, what? I got pregnant with 5 million before, so keeping positive. I hope that this is it for us! Will keep posting and praying for everyone on the forum in the meantime.....All the best to everyone!

I couldnot wait till monday to hear from RE about my test result and took CLEARBLUE test..and yes i was right it said "NOT PREGNANT" ...So i am out now...
But i am not upset as i knew from the begining this is not my cycle as i had only 1 follicle... and i always wanted twins..and i will have twins this time ,thats my intution :)
so ready for the next cycle..Going for day3 labs on monday...

I am cd 18 and waiting my 2wks for af so I can get started with the iui's again....Heather great news! I will be praying for you. I took baby asprin and i've heard that so many ppl take it if they have had m/carriages.
they only gave it to me coz i have had pregnancy loss before.

iam sure that they will prescribe it for me again with my FET, But iam thinking of consulting another doctor coz i don't feel very comfortable about all the medications they are giving me.

when i did my ivf cycle i was given after the transfer: metformin, asprin, steriods,progesterone tablets and vaginal inserts, dostinex.
is that what you will be taking?? plz let me know.

Hi Everyone~

I'm sorry I've been MIA.  I've had bad report after bad report, so I just took a time out and didn't read anything related to conception for a whole week!  On day 20 (Friday) the nurse told me I hadn't ovulated (and I REALLY thought I had...)  So not sure what is going to happen if this was a anovulatory cycle...I have the Lupron and am ready to get started.  Tomorrow is day 23, so hope my blood shows I've ovulated now!  I am trying to stay positive, but it's hard.

Heather, interested to hear how you are doing/feeling.

liliyan: My RE told me not to take the baby aspirin because I have never had a miscarrige just never got pregnant. As for my protocol on meds I am not sure I am taking it step by step on May 4th I will start stims and hey will let me know about that doses etc. I guess after the retrieval then I will know the next step. Shellbell: OMG! I can’t believe you’ve already started your IVF cycle! I’m so excited for you! By the way, you’re going to be on the exact same meds I was…bravelle and menopur! Hopefully they’ll prove to be a BIG success for both of us (I have my blood test on Thursday)!

Lisa: I hope taking a more relaxed approach this month works for you, so you can get your sticky BFP!!!

Pearl: I’m so sorry about the negative HPT, but maybe it was just too early. I’ve heard the digital ones are less sensitive. Did you ever get your results from the doctor’s office? By the way, I get dizzy on prometrium too. I think it's one of the more common side effects. If you're only taking it once a day, ask your doctor if you can take it at night, right before bed. That way you'll sleep through the side effects :-)

Agini: I’m so glad everything went well with your transfer! Did they only “defrost” two to get the two embies transferred? I can’t believe how close we are in our cycles! I really haven’t had many symptoms…but once in a while I thought I felt a slight, barely-there cramp. Then yesterday, I definitely felt some cramps. Kinda like a “sinking” feeling in my tummy…and I think I remember those cramps from last time I got pregnant a year and a half ago. So I’m starting to get a bit more hopeful…but at the same time, I know all the meds can mimic pregnancy symptoms, too. Sending you some extra super sticky baby dust for a BIG OL’ BFP!

Liliane: Best of luck with your FET next week! As for the meds you mentioned after your fresh cycle, it’s pretty close to what I’m on now. I’m not taking metformin, but I’m taking a baby aspirin and prenatal vitamin every day, prometrium capsules (oral progesterone) twice a day PLUS crinone (vaginal progesterone) once a day. I was also taking a steroid and antibiotics twice a day around retrieval/transfer, but I finished those last week. Oh, and I’m also on Lovenox (a blood-thinning shot) once a day, since I have Factor V, which puts me a higher risk of developing blood clots. Hope that helps…

Hello I am knew to this site and have been trying to conceive for over a year and a half. I am 29 years old and never been pregnant before. Granted I was on the pill since I was 19 and went off of it just a few months during the 8 years I was on it .I have been with my husband since I was 22yrs old and we have been having unprotected sex since 4/07 but actively started trying 9/07. I was born with bladder extrophy ( bladder was born on outside of my body) and luckily besides some infections in bladder and kidney, kidney stones, and constantly having to urinate real bad ( esp. at night -I wear a pullup) have no major issues with having that (beacuse I can go to the bathroom on my own without having to cath myself. Supposedly I can have babies I know of at least 2 women who were born like this and have kids. I have gotten HSG test and have been seeing a fertility dr for # months and everything looks fine with me (even went to acupuncturist) the only thing is one month my FSG level was 11.5 ( which my dr said was a little high for someone my age) however my husband has low sperm count and some motility issues. He has been on clomid for 2 months now and we just did 2nd round of back to back iui's. I am currently on day 12 piu and feel like I am getting my period. I just feel like this will never happen for me and for the most part I am a very positive person but when it comes to getting pregnant, it is really hard for me to visualize  being pregnant. I cry every month when i get my period and other days when I think about it. I do have hope that one day my dream of being a mom will come true but i am in diring need of some support each month that goes by that I am not. I pray every day twice a day for myself as well as all the other couples that are trying to conceive as I truly understand the heartache each month that goes by waiting for a little angel to make our dreams come true.

Awe, you're so sweet! Thank you, Shellbell! As for gonal-f, it's pretty much the same thing as bravelle (FSH only), while menopur is an FHS/LH combo. So it shouldn't make a difference in your protocol. The only good thing about taking bravelle with menopur together is that they're both made by the same company and they can be combined into one shot...instead of having to take two. My nurse even told me I could add the lupron to the cocktail, but I ended up taking that separately. So I would first take the lupron shot and then combine three vials of bravelle and one vial of menopur with 1 cc of diluent and inject that as one shot. But I'm sure you'll get instructions on all of this from one of the nurses once you get closer to the start date. Can't wait to hear how things go!!!

Welcome to the forum, hopeful! I'm glad you decided to see an RE and that everything is looking good on your end. As for the low sperm count, I hope clomid helps. How many million did you have for your IUI this month?

AF-type cramps at 12 dpiui could actually be a good sign. I've been pregnant twice, and both times I had cramping starting a few days before my period was due. I hope this proves to be a successful cycle for you!
