ALL:
sorry I have been MIA, both of the kids have been sick and its just been crazy!! I am now on CD 6 and go for the mid-cycle scan on May 1 to see where we are at. The progesterone helped!! I didn't have any spotting this past cycle so I am thankful for that. I hope you all had a great weekend and here the weather is finally nice so I am sure it will be a great one for us. I am doing the 150 of clomid again this cycle.

As for everyone else, how are you all doing??

Heather I am glad to see your back.
Shellbelle when is your appt? I don't understand anything about it.... lol.... i would just love to talk chad into the iui this time but I just don't see it. As we have both about decided that this will be our last medicated cycle for a few months since money is getting tight and they lost a job that they were planning on doing this spring... Construction is just way down.

Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust
Hugs

Quinns momma: Holy moly! Back surgery? What happened? I hope you’re OK!

Bfromthed: You are so sweet! Thank you so much! I hope you do get blessed this month, but if not, you’ll have success once you start your IUIs again! I just know it! And don’t worry about the 10 pounds…just concentrate on healing from the surgery and getting that BFP! :-)

Pearl: Awe…thank you! I’d love to be able to give you guys some good news tomorrow! I’m very sorry to hear about AF, though…she is such an unwelcome guest!!! I really hope you get two super strong eggies this month and that you get your “double” (twin) BFP this cycle!

Mandy: Oh man, I’m sorry to hear about the kids being sick! I hope they’re feeling better now! Best of luck this cycle! I really hope it’s your lucky one!!!

Agini: Yeah, let’s hope for some good news both tomorrow and Friday ;-) SSBD!!!

Everyone: Just a little over 12 hours until I have my test! I’m soooo nervous! Still having some mild cramps, though ;-) Thanks again to all of you for being so supportive!!!

Hi everyone!

Iam offiicially cd1 today.  yes AF reared her ugly head this month, in full force at that.  I was in so much pain that I had to take a nap on the floor in my office while my pain meds kicked in.  Not a good look but i had so much work to do and did not want to drive home just to come back (if i went home, would not want to come back for the day, lol)

nonetheless, i feel better now...\
Sorry I have been a bit out of commission for the past week.  I have been focusing on studying for my cpa exam.  Please pray for me that I pass, one part at a time...Yeah, like we all don;t have enough to worry about with TTC, now we have to actually live our normal lives :-)

Heather-I have been praying for you!  You so deserve this as you are the rock that helps support all of this during these trials...
ALL-Good luck to everyone in whatever part you are in your ttc this cycle.  I have to go back and read the posts to catch up since it's been over a week.  Sending lots of support, prayer and SSBD to you all.

xoxo,
marline

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...it's been busy for me, plus won't have a computer until next week. Our computer crashed at home and we are waiting on the new one to come....hopefully by the end of the month! I've missed everyone. I am cheering for all those transfers and hoping for a ton of BFP's with twins. Heather and agini...I am cheering for u both!!! Twins on both ends! Shellbell...wishing you a success on your IVF cycle. As per I....doing well. No complaints. Don't feel a whole lot...but still have another week or so in this 2WW. I keep praying that everyone gets their BFP. Please send some prayers back! SSBD and sticky vibes for all of us!!!

I know here in Texas it can cost around $12,000.  It all depends on the meds you are on too and if your insurance covers those.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THAT IS SO GREAT!!! You deserve this so much.  It's great to see that you are pregnant!!!!!!  I am literally crying as I read your post.  I have seen how long you have supported us and through our struggles of ttc, but also how you have kept us all positive!!!!  I pray for a full nine healthy nine months.  I pray they are twins :~)

Agini:  Congrats to you toooo!!!! I know how it feels getting getting your first BFP.  I too waited almost 8 years to get mine.  I pray and am sending you all the wonderful SSBD to you!

bfromthed:  I am happy that your surgery went well.  Hopefully your AF comes soon so you can get back to ttc.  :~)

Shellbell:  How are your shots going?  Hopefully everything is well, and I am hoping and praying to see a BFP for you too!!!!

As for me... FINALLY after taking provera for 5 days my period finally came today!  So you can add me to the list as CD1.  It's been about 5 years since I have taken chlomid, so I will be checking my ovulation day with predictors.  I don't think I can handle taking my temperature too, so I'll just stick with the opk's.  Any suggestions as to what else I can do to improve my chances with clomid?  I am taking the 50 mg pill from days 3-7, and had a miscarriage  a month ago.  I just want all the best possibilities  :~))))  Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated :~)

Heather & Angi CONGRATS!!! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!!! Sending you lots of hugs and ssbd too!!

Shellbelle how is everything going? Just thinking about you!

As for me CD 9 finishing my clomid tonight and just praying for a miracle, that it will happen this time because if not my hubby just told me that we are going to have to quit the clomid and RE visits until our budget gets back to normal. I am just so disappointed, trying not to start crying again. I just didn't figure after all the problems I have had that it would have taken this long. Just please say a prayer for me that I will have the strength to go through this and if a bfn appears again that I will be able to somewhat move on from all of this and hopefully that we can get on with the normal things in life so we can get back to TTC again this winter.

Hey all,
Quick question about IVF retrival process.  I am scheduled to go this week, but was under the impression I could go back to work the next day.  Am I fooling myself??   Very new to forums and all the abreviations, but I am on day 8 of follicle stimulation and doing well so my MD says.  I currently have 15 significantly measurable follicles with 5-6 others that have promise.  Have had frustrating journey with fertility, but much shorter than many of you.  I am fertility age challenged and clueless about much of this process apparantly.  Your wisdom and support are appreciated...
thanks in advance

by Heather5, Apr 27, 2009 09:29AM
Hi Sunshine! And welcome to the thread! I think everyone's different when it comes to how they feel after retrieval. My RE suggested taking the day of retrieval off and the day of transfer...BUT, I have to say I felt 10 times worse the day AFTER retrieval! Luckily, I work from home, so I didn't have to worry about moving around too much ;-) It also probably depends on the number of eggs you have and whether or not you develop any degree of OHSS (hyperstimulation). Best of luck to you! Sounds like you're responding very well so far!

Everyone: I'm going to attempt updating the list...I know it's been a few days ;-) Be back soon!

mommyoftwo- doing ok, hope all is well with you, lets hope this is ur last clomid cycle and you will get ur BFP!

by Heather5, Apr 27, 2009 11:33AM
Just wanted to thank everyone again for all your posts, messages and notes! You guys are so sweet! I had my second beta on Saturday and will get the results sometime today. Hopefully everything will still look good. For those of you who are not familiar with my story, I’ve been TTC for almost 4 years now, and I’ve been pregnant twice (natural cycles), but both ended in early miscarriages. So even though I’m very excited about my BFP, it’s a bit hard to just sit back and enjoy it…if you know what I mean. I’m just sooooo nervous about everything! I just wish I could snap my fingers and be in the second trimester already!

**********

Marline: Best of luck with your CPA exam!!! And best of luck this new cycle! Hopefully you’ll get to celebrate both passing the exam AND a big fat positive very soon!!!

BabyMamas: How are you doing? We’ve missed you too! I hope your new computer gets here soon! I’m not too sure about twins. I think my numbers are more indicative of a singleton…but maybe for Agini ;-)

Pearl: An IVF cycle usually costs about $10,000 and up. It really depends on the place you have it done and how well you respond to the drugs (less drugs, less money; more drugs, more money!). I know it s u c k s BIG TIME when insurance doesn’t cover IVF (we were in the same boat)…but hopefully your IUI will bring you your BFP so you won’t have to worry about it!

Agin: Yeah, I hear you! I’m nervous too! Let us know as soon as you get the results… and I’ll do the same ;-)

Ingy / Baby4Shellbie / Shellbell:
Sending all three of you lots of SSBD for your upcoming IVF/FET cycles!! Got my fingers crossed that we’ll be able to add all three of your names to the BFP list VERY soon!!! SSBD!!!

Texasangel: You are so sweet! I really hope Menopur works for you next month! Let me know when you start your new cycle if you want me to add you back on the list ;-)

Mandy: You’ll definitely be in my thoughts and prayers! I think I might get me my own snowblower and direct it straight towards your house ;-)  Hopefully you’ll get your BFP this cycle!!!

Bfromthed: I’ll definitely keep praying for all of you! I have a feeling it will be your turn to see those two little lines very soon ;-) Let us know when you start your next IUI cycle!!!

Jennifer: So good to hear from you! How is your pregnancy coming along? Do you have your first ultrasound scheduled yet?

Kramik: Yeah, I would love to have all of our cycle buddies join the pregnancy forum!!! Looks like you’re getting close to ovulation this month (CD14), so it could just be a couple of weeks before you join us on the BFP list! Fingers crossed!!! ;-)

Quinns Momma: Thinking of you and your upcoming surgery… Hope all goes well!

Lisa: How are you doing in your cycle? Are you tracking ovulation this month? Either way, I hope it’s a successful one ;-) Come on BFP!!!

Mwhitcomb: So good to hear from you! And I’m glad your period finally came so you can get started on your next (BFP) cycle! I’ve only been on clomid once, so I don’t really have too many suggestions. All I know is not to take an OPK until it’s been a couple of days since your last clomid pill, since some women get a false positive if taken too close to the last pill. Best of luck this cycle. Hopefully you’ll get another (“sticky”) BFP in a few short weeks!!!

Beth: Did you test??? Let us know how it went! Got my fingers crossed for  a BFP!!! By the way, since you’re irregular, have you ever considered BBT charting? It takes a little bit of effort, but it can really help you better understand your cycles…and it will definitely let you know if and when you ovulated and when its time to take a HPT!...Just a thought.

WhiteSwan: I have you listed as 32 dpo!!! Any good news to share?

Cheyenne / fairyzduzt:
Thank you so much! Let me know where you guys are in your cycle and I’ll add you both to the list!

**********

OK! It’s been a little while since last time I updated the list, so I hope I got everything right. If not, let me know and I’ll update the info next time ;-)

SSBD to everyone!

Thanks Heather for the sweet welcome.  I do wish you success with your news.  You've got such good vibes, I am so sure that you will be successful this time around.  You are so positive and that is what I need!
I hope I didn't intrude on an already created group...so sorry!  I just saw all of the activity and thought I might get some of the answers I am trying to find...
I know you just posted a list of status...would you explain what all of the abreviations mean.  I am trying to find someone who is at a similar stage that I am, but don't know what my abreviations would read...
thanks...again feel so silly asking...and I am a nurse at that...although I am the baby nurse, so once you all are successful, I would be happy to answer all of your questions!!
Thanks again and I hope I wasn't intruding..

Thank you... :) I am very nervous but relieved that my pain will be gone soon. Well DH and I slipped up and bd'ed last night. I o'ed today.  Yikes!!   So much for avoiding the fertile days. LOL   Luckily surgery is in 2 days so if by chance I did get preggers it should be ok.

Cannot wait to hear your new numbers. I am sure they are great!

by Heather5, Apr 27, 2009 02:11PM
Agini: Holy Moly!!! You might be the one ending up with twins here ;-) LOL! Can you believe I'm still waiting! If I don't hear back within the next hour, I'll call myself!!!

Sunshine: You are not intruding at all! We love to get new cycle buddies! I'll definitely add you to the list. IVF cycles are a little harder to list, though, since they usually run over two cycles and may or may not include a regular period. Did you have a period before starting the stims? If so, what day did it start? As for all the list abbreviations, this is how it works: The first day of bleeding is considered CD1 (Cycle Day 1), the next day is CD2 and so on. Once ovulation occurs, the day after will be 1 dpo (day past ovulation) or dpiui (day past IUI), then 2 dpo and so on. For IVF'ers, we would use dpr and dpt instead (days past retrieval and days past transfer). Hope that makes sense :-)

Quinns momma: You are too funny! Well, let's hope you get that BFP a couple of weeks after the surgery then ;-)

by Heather5, Apr 27, 2009 02:18PM
OK, I lied...LOL! I couldn't wait the whole hour, so i just called and got the number. Saturday's number was 483! So it more than doubled in two days! Yay! I also got my first sonogram scheduled for May 14th (at 7 weeks, 1 day)!

Ok ladies...
So although I am  FAC (fertility age challanged) I now know that I am CD11 and will have my retrival on Thursday.  My tummy/back are sore.  Normal for IVF stim?  Getting more nervous about the outcome of this whole process.  Was fine until today and now as I get closer, I am worried they are going to find the problem. (currently I am unexplained infertility).  It is encouraging to hear all of the successes that are occuring on this site.  Hopefully I too will have the same news next month.  How do y'all keep your anxiety in check?  Trying to stay sane and not drive my husband crazy..he is so awesome! Thanks for including me and I look forward to keeping up with everyone's progress!

by shellbell75, Apr 27, 2009 04:00PM
Sunshine: Welcome to the board! Just wanted to say hello and wish you good luck with your IVF I hope you get your BFP! I am also unexplained no reason for not gettin preggers. I did 5iuis with clomid and Gonal f (injectables) all negative, prior to that unprotected for 7 1/2 yrs. This is my first IVF and very nervous and scared etc....

Yay for your great numbers!!!  Maybe you will have more than one in there ;)  As for me I am good.  Thursday I will be 7 weeks.  I have my first U/S scheduled on May 4th.  So I am now counting down the days till then.  The past couple of days I have had some nausea but nothing to serious.  Just enjoying everyday :)

Hey...
Thanks so much for your friend jesture and your kind note... I was reluctant to join in the past thinking I could just "handle" this by myself, but it sure does help to have the support of others who are going through the same processes.  I had to have surgery for stage one endometriosis and then had 1 failed IUI attempt.  Because of my age, my MD didn't want for us to wait and suggested IFV.  We agreed and felt we would prefer to up our odds.  I have been stimulting or whatever for just over a week, and will go for the retrival on Thursday.  I too was on BCP and Lupron.  Now I am still on Lupron(a smaller dose), Menopur and Follistim.  Is this similar to your regimen?  How are you feeling besides a human pin cushion?  Anyways...trying to stay positive.  Hoping for a BFP...(not really sure what that stands for but a postive test I am assuming...oh, and what is a RE and AF...not too hip yet with the phrasing.  Thanks for the tutoring...; )

by Heather5, Apr 27, 2009 06:38PM
Sunshine: "FAC"...that is too funny! My tummy was a bit tender too as I got closer to retrieval. It kinda felt like some extra "pressure" down there...especially when I had to pee! (Not sure about my back, because it was hurting anyway after I threw it out right before starting IVF). Like you and shellbell, I'm also unexplained. Pretty frustrating when you don't really have a "reason" why it's not happening. But hopefully, you'll get your BFP (Big Fat Positive, by the way) in just a few short weeks!!!

...oh and RE is Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility specialist) and AF is Aunt Flow (period).

Jennifer: Thank you so much! I don't know about twins, though, I think my numbers are a bit low for that. Now Agini, on the other hand...she's got some high numbers!!! Only a week before your ultrasound!!! How exciting!

:-)

Heather im so pleased your beta more than doubled.  Congratulations once again.

İm CD25 and now in 2WW but dont know when i ovulated.  İ hate not knowing my body.  İ had EWCM about 3-4 days ago but no cramps and i always do get cramps.  Then yesterday i had cramps with creamyish CM.  So when did i ovulate?  When i had EWCM or when i had cramps.  İ should record temp but tried that once before and didnt get on very well with it.  Will just have to wait out the 2WW and hope for a BFP.

:)

Hello all.  I haven't been on in a while.  A little disappointed with TTC lately.  Just don't understand, "Why not me?"  We were bumped up to 100 mg of clomid this month.  I'm currently on CD16, last day of scheduled BD.  We'll still include tomorrow just in case.  I pray that this is our month.  I'm not sure how much more I can take.  I went to a 15 birthday this weekend and there was a 14 year old girl 8 months preggers.  It just disgusts me!  I'm trying to keep busy so I don't drive myself bonkers, but it doesn't seem to be working, especially with all the pills everyday.  Heather, I hope all is well with you.  Maybe I'll get on here one day and catch up on everyone. Take care.  Oh, and Shellbell, I miss you...  I hope all is well with you too!

by shellbell75, Apr 28, 2009 01:53PM
Jessime: I have missed you too I checked ur profile daily for updates, I am sorry youre having a hard time, do you think your RE can change up your protocol like maybe try injectables I heard after many cycles of clomid it can thin out your lining. I still hope and pray you get that BFP this cycle. As for me I am doing IVF, clomid and injectables did not work for me. I am praying that IVF works. Glad to hear from you stay in touch.

by Silapooh, Apr 28, 2009 02:16PM
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I am so encouraged when I read all your comments and positive BFPs. I am on my first IVF cycle. I did a day 3 transfer on 4/13/08 with 2 embryos. I am currently in that 2ww period. Tried not to but, took 2 HPTs and they were both negative:-). I have my blood work tomorrow morning and I am very anxious (I am sure you all know the feeling). Like all of you, I am hoping and praying for a BFP and all your words are so encouraging. I will check in tomorrow to give an update.

Congratulation to all the BFP and I hope there are more to come!!

Heather 5: I cannot believe it...I was able to log on from work just now and read the previous posts to come to the wonderful news. I am so excited for you...and see, you know you got a couple of nuggets in there......just like Agini. I cannot wait to hear about your progress. Here's a toast to a healthy and enjoyable nine months...I want twins damn it! So, make sure you feed them well....;)

Agini: I am so very excited for you, as well. It sounds like you also have a couple in there! Great numbers....toasting to a healthy and happy nine months for u as well. Hope I can join you and Heather soon....keep us all posted on your progress!

We're hoping for the good news to come in three......who's going to be the next BFP then? Will keep an eye out for everyone.

As per me, I am 11 DPO. AF is due on Saturday, May 2nd and praying that she stays away for nine months....So I can join Heather and Agini and others....My boobs are sore and I've had some minimal cramping 2day, so keeping hopes up. If no signs of AF, I am planning on doing a HPT on Saturday morning, 5/2 after ending work week. Unfortunately, our computer will not be arriving until Wednesday, May 6th....So, can't post results until (at least) Monday, May 4th from the office. I check Fed Ex everyday to see when that sucker will be here....and then I try to get into Medhelp everyday too....but it's hard cause my work puter will bumps me off medhelp nearly everyday....but,no worries ladies....I will keep trying and keep you guys posted. I keep praying for all of us every night before I go to sleep and hope that we can all get our little angels soon....Sending you all SSBD and sticky vibes.

Go HEATHER and AGINI!!!!! We're all joining you soon!!!

Sorry...forgot to post my message to you....I am excited that you're gonna be doing this soon. I am also on Clomid...definitely better results on C/D 3-7, then 5-9...Just keep doing your monitoring at RE's office and as long as you're producing eggs, you should be able to get a BFP. I am totally cheering for you girl! SSBD!!!

My RE called me today and asked me to come on thursday (4/30) for Cd12 u/s and if she sees good follices she will give the trigger shot and then scheduled IUI for saturday.. Now the Question is - last time she gave me shot on 4/3 at 9 am and IUI on 4/4 around 10 am i.e next day this time she is doing iui after 1 day shot on 4/30 and iui 5/2.. just wondering does it works..What is the best duration gap for IUI

Silapooh - Good luck for tomm.b/w.Wil be praying for you Hope you get your BFP :)

by Heather5, Apr 28, 2009 10:42PM
Silapooh: Hi and welcome to the thread! We actually had our transfers on the same day (April 13), but mine was a 5-day, so I guess I'm technically a couple of days ahead of you :-) Best of luck tomorrow! Hopefully the home pregnancy tests were just done too early and you get some happy news tomorrow afternoon!!! Fingers crossed!

Pearl: Thank you so much! I won't have my first ultrasound until 7 weeks, so I have to wait all the way until May 14th!!! As for the IUI timing, it usually depends on what the RE feels is the best time to trigger. If you're ready for trigger during the day, the IUI would be the day after, but if you trigger at night, it would be a day and a half after. Most women ovulate about 38 hours or so after trigger, so many REs try to time it at 36 hours...but 24 hours (like you did last time) is pretty common too.

BabyMamas: OK, I'll try my best! LOL! I'll find out for sure mid-May...but I'm kinda thinking one (based on the numbers). Glad to hear your BBs are hurting and you're cramping ;-) Sounds like some pretty good signs to me! Come on BFP!!!

Lisa: Good question...I'm not really sure what's a better indication of ovulation...but as long as you're BDing on a somewhat regular basis, you should have it covered no matter when it actually happened! So here's to a Big Fat Positive for you veeeeery soon!

Jessime: I'm so sorry you've been feeling a bit down lately...I think we've all been there. And an 8-month pregnant 14-year-old!!! That's just not fair! Sending you a BIG hug and lots of SSBD! I hope this month proves to be the one for you!

bfromthed: Yay! You're almost there! Who would have thought I'd ever be cheering for AF to arrive...LOL...but in your case it's good, because we need you back TTC so we can soon add you to the BFP list!

Lilyanne: Did you have your transfer yet? Keep us posted, OK!

WhiteSwan: Send me an update on where you are in your cycle and I'll add you back to the list. SSBD!

Quinns Momma: Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow!!!

All: Welcome to all the new members of our thread! Thanks for all the encouragement. I am getting a little nervous this round since i know it will be my last medicated cycle for a few months. But if not my time, I hope that it is someone elses. Kys drs appt yesterday went great she is doing great but they are keeping her on the asthma meds for another year, but oh well. Tan has a drs appt tomorrow so we have another busy day. They are doing Xrays so I can't go in just because I don't want to screw anything that might be brewing up and then friday I have my mid cycle scan and hopefully trigger then. I will be gone for a mini vacation and kys pageant this weekend so I will let you all know what they say on Sunday. But I will be back on here later tonight and some tomorrow to ck in on you gals! :o)
Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust

Silapooh: Keep us posted after you've had your RE appointment, and let us know what the plan is for your next cycle.  That way we know when to start cheering again! ;-)

Everyone: I'm going totally bonkers just sitting around waiting for my ultrasound in 2 weeks!!! My AF-type cramping has more or less stopped, which I'm a little bit worried about...but I can't remember how long it lasted last time. My BBs are still tender, but not as sore as they were last time I got pregnant. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it being IVF and using artificial progesterone vs. the real thing or what; but let me tell you, the last couple of days, the prometrium has been KICKING MY  A S S! I'm on crinone (vaginal progesterone) once a day and prometrium (oral progesterone twice a day, and it wasn't too bad in the beginning, but now the prometrium is making me soooo wooozy, I can barely walk straight!!! It starts about an hour after taking the pill and last for quite a while! Crazy!

thanks you guys.....you are all the bomb! I say a prayer for every one of you every night, so we can all conceive and keep out little nuggets.

Heather5: Try to relax and not to think too much about it...even though it is hard. I know the feeling. I know that it will be hard for me too until after I'm out of the first trimester...but, keep positive. You're taking things to help you thru it...Sticky vibes to you...

I guess we can do IUI,, for the next round since we cannot afford another IVF treatment.  how does IUI work and how many of you have gotten pregnant from IUI on the first time? If you got pregnant from IUI on more than one try how many trys did it take and were any of those 39 or older?  I'm just trying to figure out if its even worth attempting at my age.. 39..getting prepared!   Thnx, Monica

SSBD2YA:  Hi, all!  I just had AF visit on the 2nd and DH & I are waiting for AF to come down, again, so we can go in to visit the our Doc., again.  We were so relieved to find out that the cyst I had, disappeared and I no longer needed laparascopic-surgery to remove it.  Whew!  Anyways, Doc told us that I've made him wait too long, already, and we will be going in for our 2nd DET/IVF in June.  Hopefully & prayerfully this will be the one to give us our precious bundle of joy/love.  We are very happy to read all of the great news that has been going on this spring and are praying for everyone to receive all of their wishes ASAP, TBTG, Amen.  O:-)

Hey everyone...

So wish me luck..I kind of feel funny asking for that, but what the hey..you all are so positive and supportive.  I go tomorrow for my Egg retrival..very nervous that they will not find eggs in all of those Follicles.  Anyone know how common that is??  I have like 15 ripe and ready to go follicles with 5 others that are a little smaller.  I worry because I am "unexplained" that I will find out the reason is no eggs or that his sperm is repulsed or something by my eggs..I also fear the natural diaster that "could" happen and that they would not be responsible and all this would be for not.  I even avoided assisting with the whole Swine Flu craze (I am a nurse at the hospital)  thinking I didn't want to catch it before anesthesia tomorrow..How crazy are these thoughts, or am I just way hyper anxious.  Please tell me that I am no the only crazy person out there!!
I am so happy to hear about the successes and I am even more proud of the group that has had less hopeful news, because you are maintaining your happy positive thoughts!
keep that up!!  Thanks for your support!

by mama1981, Apr 30, 2009 05:27PM
Sunshine-Try not to worry too much.  Think positive thoughts and all will work out fine.  I will say a prayer for you, like I do daily for all of ttc ladies :-)  Keep us posted with how it goes.

Heather-I know it is hard to do but try not to think about it too much.  I agree with texasangel to try and take the pills at night so that you fall asleep a bit after the crazy symptooms kick in.  I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED for you my dear :-)  All will be perfect when you go for the ultrasound in a couple weeks.  Grow baby grow.  You are definitely in my prayers :-)

All-I have not been on in a bit as I am very swamped with work, studying, etc.  I am glad to hear you the GREAT news on the forum.  It gives us hope that a BFP is in line for all of us so deserving ladies.  Being patient is half the battle as we want it to happen NOW :-)
I wish you all the best.  Sending lots of hugs, kisses and prayers thru out.  SSBD!!!!

15 follicles with 5 others that are a little smaller  makes 20, thats a great number! Some women are lucky to get any folies at all. You have so much to work with.
The little ones will probably grow a little more tonight and you might get a few from those also guessing you already did your trigger shot yesterday?   I have been through IVF 3 times waiting for my 2nd beta test tomorrow. my number was to low yesterday.
Anything can happen anytime,, don't sit around being afraid of natural disaster, live your life. Focus on being a mommy and relax :) Good luck with the surgery tomorrow. You should have your hubby go out and buy you an electric heat pad for after the egg ret. Works wonders!
Big hugs!

Hey guys! I appreciate the advice on prometrium, and I wish I could just take it before bed, but unfortunately I'm taking it twice a day (a.m. and p.m.) Oh well, it's OK...I'll survive :-)

Sunshine: Best of luck tomorrow!!! Crossing my fingers for lots of mature eggs and that they all turn into strong, viable embies!!!

A_Muse4u: That's such great news that you won't need the lap surgery! Wishing you all the best for your DET in June!!!

Monica: Have you checked if your insurance covers IUIs? I would start by checking how much it would cost you per month (including any meds) and then make a decision. I've done several IUIs without getting pregnant, but there are plenty of success stories out there as well. BUT hopefully everything will look just perfect tomorrow, so you won't have to worry about any of it! Sending you lots and lots of SSBD!!

Hey ya'll,

Mommica- Thank you so much for your comments about my IFV progress.  I have not know anyone who has IVF out in the "real world" that I could have struck up a conversation about the # of Follicles their maturity and the thickness of their uterus lining.  It has all been a very mystery to me how this works.  Although my husband is wonderful, he still doesn't entirely understand everything I am feeling.   I should just believe it will work and have faith, but that is very hard...all I hear is that my age 38 is working against meI was nervous about the forum concept but subsequently have really seen the benefits of the support.  For someone who has had such a journey as you have, you inspire me with your optimism.  All the ladies on this thread amaze me.  Thank you for letting me be a part of it.  Good luck tomorrow.  i will say a big prayer for you!  Quick question...Would you do ICSI even if your husband has good sperm motility and quantity?  Would you do assisted hatching?  ah...so many questions..

Heather..Thanks for your support...Again, I am so happy for you!  I just know I will be there soon....I hope ; ) (my attempt at optimistic thought)  I am wishing you well with the progesterone...I start on saturday so will look to you for tips.

Marline - thanks so much for your prayers.  I can feel the good juju and karma coming my way...come on little follicles you can do it!!!

Hey y'all
Feeling fine and hanging out with my honey!  Rare weekday occurance.  Completed my egg retrival this am and they collected 12 eggs...Hopefully they are young and spry and are having very romantic moments with my husbands swimmers!  We recommended candles and mood music to the embryologist but based on his emotionless expression, I don't think that is going to be happening.
Anyone have numbers on the percentages of the eggs retreived to fertilization rates?  Thanks for all of the support and good vibes sent my way.  I can only say that your positive messages are really helping my moral..Thank you.

BabyMomma - I am so sorry to hear your news...I know what you are going through and like everyone is saying..hang in there and keep trying.  I really believe that we all will have our successes one way or another!!

Mommica- Any news??  I couldn't get you out of my mind last night...sent you lots of good juju!!  Fingers are crossed!

Will let you know tomorrow my fertilization rate...Hoping for high numbers...No wammies (for those of you over 35)
hugs
chris

by Heather5, May 01, 2009 01:41PM
Hi Pearl! 17 and 18 are great numbers! Anything over 18 is considered mature, and they grow about 2 mm a day, so by the time to you ovulate tomorrow, they should both be mature! Yay!

As for the injection, it's really not that bad...even though it might sound a bit scary at first.

Best of luck with everything, and let us know how it goes tomorrow!!!

Oh, Chris! That's wonderful news!!! Sounds very similar to mine, actually. I had about 14 follicles, but had 11 mature eggs retrieved. I hope they all fertilize!!!

By the way, that's too funny about suggesting the music and candlelight :-) Too bad the embryologist didn't have a sense of humor. LOL!

Take it easy over the next couple of days, and keep us posted when you get your updates!!!

I spoke to my nurse today and she said once I get my period I will be back on the birth control pills. So now, it's funny to say but, I can't wait to get my period!

Here's and Anonymous Encouragement Poem for all of us who had not so good news this week:

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When she might have won had she stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit."

I hope this helps!

Ok ladies I REALLY NEED A GROUP PRAYER!!! Went to my re's office yesterday because af had not started (no bfp) don't want to excite you guys I am cd 31 and af is due today but I was having no signs and he wanted to try and do a few test to see why they are going 30, 44, 51 days apart....anyway we discussed IVF and I told him I wish we could afford to go there...and listen up...he told me that he is going to speak with his fellows and colleagues and see can they do a 1 time either 75% discount (which is still alot because my dh is laid off) but better yet he said he is going to explain my story, let them know that I am an employee there, that we did have a son in 07 that was born premature and passed 26 days later...and he may possibly be able to do it for free...we will just pay for meds and my insurance covers half!!! I don't want to get too excited but I pray to God that we at least have the chance at ivf....
Please ladies pray for us...by the way because of yje broken foot I have gained some weight and because of pcos he said this can throw my cycles off....wow....So again I am cd 31 no signs of af so last month was 44 days who knows how long in between this one will go!

Thanks,
Beatrice

Thanx you guys for all the encouragement. I'm not sure where we are headed right now. First, we're waiting on AF. Then my partner and I will have to sit down and decide what to do next....This was my fifth IUI.....kinda worried about the long term effects of fertility drugs. So we got news today from the embryologist that we have 10 mature eggs out of the 12 retrieved and only 5 of them fertilized..I was really hoping for more.  I guess some of his fellas blew their date!  Question for those of you who have had IVF, was the 50 percent fertilization the same for the others of you.  What percentage of those that fertilized went on to be viable embryos?  I know everyone is different, but it does help to have some kind of expectation for day 3.  Thanks for all of your thought sent my way...I am just very thankful that some of them even fertilized!  Hope you are having a great weekend.  Will let you know day three status as I hear it..
Chris

by Heather5, May 02, 2009 05:41PM
Silapooh: That's great that you get to start back up again right away! Come on AF! (Yeah, that does sound weird, huh?) Oh, and thanks for sharing the poem! I'm sure the majority of us on here have felt like quitting at some point, but it's true, you never know how close you are to your goal...so don't give up!

bfromthed: No way!!! Are you serious? That would be awesome!!! I'll definitely keep you and your DH in my prayers! :-)

Mommica: Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that... Sending you a BIG cyber hug! There's probably not much we can say or do to help you feel any better right now, but please know that we're here for you if you need us...

BabyMamas: I would check with your RE about the long-term side effects. I don't think there are any major ones for clomid, but I'm not really sure. I do know that they say to use it for up to six months (or something like that), but that's based on the fact that if it hasn't worked for you in six months, chances are you need a different approach to get pregnant. But since it did in fact work for you earlier this year, this shouldn't apply to you. I do know that clomid can thin your lining after a few months, though...but I'm sure your RE is checking for that. You could always ask to be switched to femara, though. Femara is just as easy to take and has less side effects than clomid. Just a thought.. :-)

Sunshine: I'm actually not sure what the normal fertilization rate is, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your five beautiful embies will continue to grow and prosper until your transfer!!!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

SSBD!

Hi Heather. How are you feeling? Today is cycle day one for me. AF has finally showed her unwelcomed face. I will probably see Re on Wednesday. I am looking at getting a personal loan to do IVF. I am sick of these IUI's and having little luck....I have an ART vile from the donor we are using, but unfortunately I am out of luck getting his sperm now again until June....this is why I don't want to waste this vile on IUI. I will let you know once I see Re on Wednesday. I do have a question.....where on your cycle does the RE start the IVF process? just curious....I will ask about the Femara, if cant go the IVF route.....thanks a lot Heather!

babymommas-Sorry for the BFN.  I know how much you want this.  I know it's easier said than done, but just remain positive and know that your miracle is yet to come.  You've come to far to not have it happen...

Sunshine-Not sure what the normal fertilization rate is but just want you to know that 5 is great!.  Some ppl get none.  I know it's not what we want to hear, but remember it only takes one.  With 5, you'll still have the opportunity to freeze some and try again, just in case.  Sending + vibes your way my dear :-)

mommica-I saw the BFP list and you are our latest addition.  CONGRATS to you and your family!  Keep us posted on your progress.  Praying for a happy and healthy nine months and healthy baby:-)

Pearl1980-Glad to hear the IUI happened.  I know what you mean about the procedure being a bit more painful with a tilted cervix.  For some reason, it happens but I normally just breathe thru it and pray until it's over as it is not a pretty thing to go thru.  Keeping you in my prayers that you get a BFP!

bfromthed-I'll definitely be praying for you.  God's timing is wonderful and exact.  This would truly be a blessing, among other ones you've received.    I really hope and pray all works out for you.  I know you'll keep us posted :-)

fairyzduzt-Good luck with the retrieval on Monday.  Let us know how it goes.  You know we'll be rooting for you :-)

Baby4Shelbie-Sometimes taking a break is what we need.  TTC can be and is really emotionally and physically draining on us.  Just drop in every now and then to let us know how you are :-)

Heather-The BFP list is just growing and growing.  I am so happy you are on it!!!Patiently waiting to join it as well :-)  How are you feeling ?

All-Nothing much different going on here.  Still working and studying.  Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that I am able to pass my CPA exams.  It's very important to me and my main focus right now.  TTC is still the focus too.  Trying to save $$ for the IVF.  Possibly going to try acupuncture and see.  In the meantime, enjoying natural cycle of bd and tracking ovulation.  Not really using a o kit but I know I normally o around days 12-15 so I have been bd every other day since CD 8.  My DH is now on Fertility Blend for men as well.  I'll get on the one for women soon.  Pray for us...
SSBD to you all!

A_Muse4U: Sounds like you and your DH enjoyed your "cinco the mayo" weekend! I wish you all the best and hope everything works out so you can have your DET this summer!!!

Fairyzduzt: Best of luck today!!! Let us know how everything went when you have a chance!

Pearl: I have a tilted cervix too. I've found that it's actually pretty common. Lots of women on this forum seem to have a tilted cervix. It does make it a bit more difficult to get the catheter in for IUIs (and IVF transfers), but from what I've read and heard, it does not affect your chances of conceiving at all! Best of luck this month!!!

Marline: I wish you all the luck in the world for your CPA exams! I know you'll do great ;-) And of course, I'm also sending you lots of super sticky baby dust for a BFP this month! You never know, maybe the more relaxed approach is what will bring you those two little lines!!!

BabyMamas: Oh, I see...that's too bad about your donor not being available right now. As for the IVF cycle, it generally spans two months. The first month is to gradually suppress the ovaries, so that the meds will be as effective as possible (most people are on b/c pills, then lupron this month). And the second month is when you actually do all the stims, retrieval, transfer and pregnancy test. Hope that makes sense. Best of luck on Wednesday, and keep us posted after your appointment!

Mandy: Wow! Sounds like you probably had three good eggs by the time you ovulated yesterday! Best of luck this 2WW!!! Also, congrats to Ky! That's awesome!

Baby4Shellbie: I totally understand! I feel like TTC has been the main focus of my life for the past three years now (since my first miscarriage), and I know that's not healthy...so taking a little break will probably do you and your DH good! Take some time to enjoy life and each other. We'll still be here when you're ready to come back :-)

Hey all, surgery went well and my back pain has been resolved. Well today is 7dpo and AF has arrived a week early!  Oh well.

by Heather5, May 04, 2009 12:06PM
Quinns Momma: That's such great news about the surgery!!! Not so good news about AF, though...but at 7 dpo, are you sure it couldn't be implantation? I sure hope so!!!

Hi All,

feeling much better today, off progesterone since Friday,, already started flow, tons of cramping,,ugh!!! back at work today but a little wacked out on extra strengh midol!

haven't been able to eat to much and feels like I already lost a few lbs,, those hormones blow me up about 10 lbs each cycle..

Heather;

thank you so much for your status updates on everyone, its nice to see so many BFPs,, gives me hope,, :) thinking of IUI or donor eggs,, haven't really decided yet. I have been looking online all weekend and not sure to stay at my current RE or move to an office that will do 5 day transfer with pgd testing if I don't use donor, I was looking at the one in LA that charges 5800 for IVF not including icsi or assisted hatching. they also have a donor program. have to make a decision soon! lots to think about.
congrats on your bfp! Keep the posts going!

Agini,

thank you for all your support, congrats on your BFP!

Silapooh,

Yes we are going to try again, we can be cycle buddies!

Baby4shellbie,

Thanx Heather for all that info...it helps. I have an IVF consult with Re on Wednesday. We are going to do IVF! I am excited about this....Unfortunately, they don't do their next IVF until August....so, he will probably just put me on the pill for a month or two, and then start stims....I am looking fwd to this. It will give me some time to save more money and get more fit. ;) I just ordered a treadmill. )~ How are you feeling? What kind of symptoms do you have??

I will keep you all posted. I am getting excited about IVF....hoping for a heathy pair! Thanks for all your prayers. Sending some back to all of u....SSBD and sticky vibes...

To: Hi everyone!
Just checking in..

HEATHER-how are you doing ?thanks for the info bout the fertility.com i will check that out..its kind weird..im just the only one in this thread that have very long cycle at 51 LOL! 19 days delayed..its really hard to have irregular period..huh!my family make fun with me coz everytime im on delayed status..i wore maternity dress..LOL!the question is until when..??LOL! i already started my BBT charting..tnx alot..take care always..

BABYMAMAS-hi how are you?ive read that you ask bout the effect of fertility drugs..as for me,last wk i went to my doc to check out my red spots/itchy on my butt..and she found out that the drugs that i took for the past few months have side effects..Duphaston,Progynova..Gonal-f.."erythema nodosum" and..urticaria acne."is the term..i dont know if you have experience it..??maybe its case to case basis..but for me..i got these skin allergies..she gave me some medicines and they are gone now..whew!

SILAPOOH-thanks for the poem uve shared!..its really hard isnt it..ttc is really a big challenge to us..sometimes im really  depressed..but im still fighting..lots of prayers are big of helps..!

BFROMTHED-sorry AF arrived again..its kind a disappointing to have when we expect was BFP..huh! but maybe..thats a sign to move on to the next step..me too have cancelled/failed IUI..and we cant still afford IVF..huh! as of now were on natural cycle..im still on break from this treatment since last march..maybe its not the time for us..but keep hoping coz there is something instore for us..maybe its not the way we wanted..but there is still hopes..just wait for God's sign..take care

BABYSHELLBIE-me too im on break..thats why i can relate to your feelings..lets hope and pray that God will give us the answer soon..!take care..

MOMMICA-welcome to the thread! how are you doing right now?sis you got pregnant before?its really alarming when were on our 30's ..isnt it?me too im worried if i will still conceived coz im 34 and have irregular period..SSBD to you!

ALL- Congrats again to all our BFP's!..and to all having egg retrievals..our big hopes that you will get lots of fertilized follies..
....and to all my classmate on ttc..to all BFN..whew! be reminded that.."

"For i know the PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future..Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me,and I WILL LISTEN TO YOU..You will seek me and find me when YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART.."Jeremiah 29:11-13...

Let me share to all of you..
As i was still  on my  break from this fertility treatment since march at present, me and my DH have  decided to have a break since my RE told me that i  have a less chance to conceived bcoz of low number of eggs/poor egg quality inside my ovaries.
To my surprise... just a few weeks after my last visit from my RE my cousin called me up! and told me that her friend who is a doctor told her that there is a baby to be born 3 weeks from now and the birth mother was looking  for adoptive mother bec she cant take good care of the baby..and my cousin ask me if i wanted the baby??..i dont know if this is the answer to my prayers???..since me and my Dh have decided to have a break for a while..thats why  we have decided that we will get the baby..and if my cousin will called me up again..we will  finalize the adoption..we will pursue this..

I am not saying that, we lose our  hopes and dreams  in this ttc..but as of this moment, we are already open for some possibilities that God will offer us.. maybe this is the time to face the reality..but still hoping and  praying that if the baby is really meant for us..it will come..even if  she/he will not grow in my tummy..surely she/he will grow in our hearts..

Please pray for us..

Hi twinsdesire, welcome:-) Like agini said, just take it easy and think positive. Praying you get those twins you desire!

beth0414: adoption is a awesome idea, my husbands' best friend and his wife adopted their first child (a girl) because they were having difficulty TTC. About a year after the adoption his wife got pregnant with their second child (a boy). They are so happy right now!

bfromthed: hopefully AF does not arrive:-)

Heather & agini: How are you doing? Hope you have a beautiful and healthy pregnancy!

Heather: I should be starting my cycle very soon. I will be using donor eggs so I don't have to do the retrieval portion of the cycle. Right now I am just waiting for AF to come on, she is being very stubborn right now.

Heather how are you???? Thanks she did awesome I couldn't have been prouder and she even won some money back! That makes it even better.

WOOHOO Shellbelle its getting closer! I am still praying for you.

As for me, I am realaxing, and trying not to think of what will happen. I am just hoping that one of the three follicles that I had this month will implant. Its been a long year for us. I had some pretty bad cramping yesterday called the RE and they said that was probably a good thing so lets hope! Trying not to think the HCG shot made me sick but now I am feeling lots better.

Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust
Hugs

Baby Dust to You All...............

by Heather5, May 06, 2009 11:34AM
twinsdesires: Welcome to the thread and best of luck this cycle! Sending you and your little embies lots and lots of baby dust!!!

BabyMamas: OMG! You're doing IVF! That's so exciting!!! Can't wait to celebrate your BFP and your two little beans this fall ;-) Best of luck with your consult today! Let us know how it went when you have a chance!

fairyzduzt: Congrats on your four fertilized embies! I hope they all make it to transfer day!!! Keep us posted, OK?

bfromthed: Wow! Two weeks!!! That's a long time to wait for a blood test! Well, let's hope for some good news coming up, whether it's an unexpected BFP this cycle or a free IVF!!!

Mandy: Sending you a truckload of SSBD (since I don't have access to a snowblower), so that one of your eggies fertilizes and implants this month!!!

Silapooh: Isn't it typical that when we DON'T want AF to arrive, she has the nerve to show up early, yet when we WANT her to get there, she's always taking her sweet time. What a BRAT! Anyway, I'm so excited for you on your upcoming donor cycle! Hopefully you'll get to celebrate your well-deserved BFP very soon!!!

Agini: How are you doing? Any new symptoms yet? I still only have tender breasts (but even that fluctuates sometimes)...and some mild cramps here and there. I kinda wish I had more symptoms, though, so I could "feel" more pregnant, if you know what I mean.

Shellbell: Best of luck starting your stims tomorrow!!! Can't wait to hear how you respond!

Lisa: Good to hear from you! Sounds like you're entering the busy tourist season. Maybe the work distractions will help you get your sticky BFP! Keep us posted when you have a chance, OK?

Beth: Oh, that is such exciting news! I hope the adoption goes through, and that you finally get to hold that little baby in your arms. You're right, a baby is just as loved, whether born from your womb or your heart :-) Good luck with everything and let us know how things go!

Mommica: Wow! Lots of big decision to make... I have to say that the LA clinic has some pretty good rates, so that's a big plus...as long as their stats are comparable, of course. Best of luck with everything! I really hope this next cycle will bring your your BFP, whether you end up doing a regular IVF or a donor cycle! SSBD!!!

Hi All,

At work thought I would drop in read some encouraging news! I am so overwhelmed with all the different treatments and prices and the decision to use a donor or not to use a donor!!! I almost want to take a break and let God take over.. I think I read it in one of these threads,, funny saying in this situation.. "If you want to make God laugh,,,,, tell him your plans!" Funny I see myself being so driven and passionate about becoming a parent again with my husband, and I believe in letting God drive but sometimes it feels like he isn't going fast enough for me so I try to take situations into my own hands. I think that if God had other plans for me, he would take away the feeling of wanting to create a life with my husband. I had my first baby when I was 17 & raised her on my own. It was difficult, but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world She is growing up to be an amazing woman! I come from a large family, all the women in my family have lots of children. My Great Grandmother had 11! 10 boys and 1 girl! My Grandmother stoped at 3 and my mom had 6! All of my sisters have 3 or more and my brothers each have 2. I only have 1, by choice, up until the past couple years. I could have had more but decided not to. Now  its not happening.. You are all so amazing in this thread. You are all helping me make it through this!
Thank you and God bless all of you.

by Silapooh, May 06, 2009 01:19PM
Finally.... AF is here:-)

Hi, It's been wonderful reading all the posts and seeing how supportive & encouraging everyone is!  I am so glad this forum exists to share the journeys.  I am also FAC-at age 42.  This is my second IVF with 2  3day eggs transferred so I am 8DPT & right in the middle of the 2WW, taking progesterone injections nightly.  I have been cramping all the time the past few days-it wakes me up a night-crazy!  Does anyone know the best time to do a HPT and the more sensitive test brands?  I am just going nuts!  I am so excited to have found this thread and I wish everyone sticky babydust and your heart's desires!

by Quinns momma, May 06, 2009 05:53PM
Update. CD3 today. The spotting turned into an actual period. So last cycle was only 20 days! Hoping the back surgery/stress is what messed up that cycle.

No meds this month, gonna try natural.

To: hey all
Sorry I have been MIA for a couple days...I am actually re writing my thread because it didn't take the first time around.  Hope you all are doing well.  I have to say thanks to:

mama1981-for reminding me that it just takes one....That is so right and I am praying that I have success.

Silapooh-for your awesome poem.  So important to keep the faith..I appreciate you sharing that with me.

Heather- For your contined support of all of us.  you are an amazing woman and I thank you for helping us through all of this.

Shellbell- Good luck with your stims tomorrow...may there be lots of busy follies

Mommica - You are so brave and strong, whether it feels that way or not.  Your answer will come to you soon.  Hang in there!

to all - thanks for everything...I am currently on bedrest.  They transferred 3 embryos today.  Does anyone have experience with grading?  I had 1 3AA and two 1AA with assisted hatching.  Are these grades viable from your experience? Finally, I want to share a quote I came across.  I think it is quite nice.
'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'

Oh, and I just watched the Secret...I suggest it for those who need added positive thoughts and vibes!  I am going to watch it again tomorrow and the next day so I can keep a positive juju going.
thanks everyone... have a great evening...
chris

Hi all of you,
I finally have a computer again... HEATHER, I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU, YOUR NEWS IS AWESOME!!! I've been thinking of all of you and hope that your pregnancy is healthy and all works out well. As for me, i did another IUI cycle with Gonal F, and will be testing on tuesday... so nervous as usual...
if this doesn't work out we may be thinking about going on to IVF but i'm not sure if i'm ready for that yet... If this is what we decide, i sure will need all of your support!
for now though, I can't think about that yet, just need to get through tuesday and see what happens...
good luck to all who are still waiting!
thinking of all of you...

Hi ladies. I have missed you guys. My partner and I had a sit down talk. We've decided a break this month would be helpful, as this process is very stressful. I am considering doing one more IUI before attempting IVF. AF is due 5/30, so will be screened a few days after that and do one more. If that doesn't work, I will probably shoot for IVF sometime in Sept. Will continue to pray for all of you and wish you luck...Sticky vibes and tons of baby dust to all! Please keep me up to date on those first ultrasounds....and please keep praying for me. This has been a tough month for my partner and I.

Heather5: I'm still rooting for two! :)

Hey shellbell, getting AF was a good thing this time because I was waiting for it to come so I can start my new cycle. Thank you anyway:-)

I am back on birth control pill on Sunday, so my cycle should probably start in a couple of weeeks.

by mommyoftwo28644, May 09, 2009 08:40AM
Shellbelle thanks! I hope that everything goes well. Let me know what the re says on follies! :o)

As for me: I am 6 DPO and had some dark red spotting and I am on progesterone so maybe it is a good thing. I have had some mild cramps but I figure its just from the progesterone. I also have been sicker this time from the HCG shot than anyother but to tell you all that I think its this cycle would be a lie, I just don't think it will happen this cycle either. So well! I just hope someone gets a bfp this month!

Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust
Lots of Hugs

Well as hard as it is for me to do this I have to. Since I had perfect response to clomid this cycle its over for me. Spotting for three days is enough and we have spent over $5000 in meds and visits since last April. I physically can't do it anymore as well as emotionally. I cried all day yesterday and to beat it all my husband didnt care enough about me to get me anything for mothers day. My wonderful son did make me a card and keychain at school and ky told me happy mommys day. But it just killed me I should be 7 months pregnant now but after this miscarriage I just can't get anything right. So I am done with the ttc for now, I just can't take it anymore. I will pray for you all and try to come by and check in with you all but right now I can't. I just have to much emotional stress right now to even barely get out of bed. I hope that you all get your bfps this month or soon!

Mandy...sorry you are going thru a rough time. Just try to take it a day at a time. Sometimes, we all need a break with this process because it is so stressful. This is my fifth consecutive IUI and I needed a month off. I will try one more next month...then will move into IVF if needed. Just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you...xoxo

by Heather5, May 11, 2009 03:08PM
Susannah2: Welcome to the thread! FRER (First Response) is probably the most sensitive test…but the dollar store ones are actually pretty sensitive too :-)  Best of luck to you!!!

Mandy: I’m so sorry you’re feeling a bit down right now. Are you sure the spotting is not implantation? As for your DH…that really does stink. Guys just don’t get it sometimes. The hand-made keychain and card was sweet, though ;-)

Sunshine: Congrats on the two little embies! I know the grading can differ from clinic to clinic, but from what I’ve heard, AA is the best rating! Only one of my two embies were graded (the other one was a bit too early) and it was a 1BB, so you’re definitely off to a great start! SSBD!!!

Bfromthed: Finally! She sure was taking her sweet time this month (AF, that is)! Best of luck tomorrow! Let us know what the plan is when you get back!

Lisa: I’m so sorry about AF…but hopefully May will be the magic month for you!

Twinsdesires: Oh no…I’m so sorry to hear that! I know how discouraging it is to get one disappointment after another, but don’t give up! Sit down and have a long talk with your RE about your different options, and hopefully, he or she will be able to get you that BFP next time!

Fairyzduzt: Cramping is perfectly normal after transfer and could actually be a good sign (implantation!). Best of luck!!!

Silapooh: Yay! Almost there! Sending you lots of SSBD for your next cycle! :-)

Shellbell: How did it go today? Let us know as soon as you have a chance, OK?

BabyMamas: I totally understand. You’ve deserved a little break. Have fun this month and do all the things you won’t be able to do once you get pregnant (because you WILL get pregnant very soon!)

Wannahaveababy: Best of luck tomorrow!!! I hope it’s a BFP for you!

Beth: Keep us posted on the adoption!

Quinns Momma: Best of luck this month! Hopefully, you’ll have a muuuuuch longer cycle this time around (like…nine months or so!)

Mommica: I hope you’ve had some time to process all the information. I totally know what you mean about things not moving fast enough. For the last three years, I’ve seen my sister and best friend have their first and second children, while I was still trying for number one (I had two miscarriages during that time), and for a while there, I just wanted to “pause” the world, so I could catch up! Silly, I know, but that’s just how I felt. Sounds like you’ve done a wonderful job raising your daughter! I hope you get to give her a sibling very soon!

Mommyoftwo, I am so sorry your going thru a rough time, this entire process is driving me crazy, I went to a bbq yesterday and everyone keep asking me when will I have kids I wanted to scream, you are lucky you have two wonderful kids and I am sure God will bless you with more, are you sure it AF?

Heather/All, Went for my scan this morning after 4 days of stimms and Re saw about 10 follies, he thinks there are more but hiding, anyways they are all ranging from 8mm to 12mm, he increase the gonal F dose and I have to go back Wednesday for another scan. Tonight will be 300iu of gonal and 75ui menupor. Heather is this good for day 4 scan?

twinsdesires & mommyoftwo:

Sometimes we all need a well deserved break. We all understand your frustration but, eventually things will all work out. I guess God has a different plan for us all. I've been trying for 4 years and was devastated when I was told that my only chance at having a child was by using an egg donor. I took a break for over a year and now I am back trying. This will be my second IVF cycle and of couse it hurts when you get that BFN but I have to try again because the next cycle might be the one. So ladies, take your well deserved break and you will know when you are ready to try again. God Bless and stay encouraged!

PLEASE TAKE TWO MINUTES TO READ THIS...I just want to take a moment to tell you ladies THANK YOU! Yesterday was so bitter sweet for me (knowing that our son is our guardian angel and he made it possible for me to celebrate mothers day) My dh got me some fantastic relaxations gifts and let me know that for the 26 days that our son was on this earth I was the best mother possible. It made my heart sing and I was still crying today (i guess this being cd 2 added to the emotions too...lol...) I just want you ladies to know that I appreciate ALL OF YOU. You are such a such a inspiration and support to me. Unfortunatley we are all connected by something that can be taxing not just on our minds and bodies and finacially but our dh's and partners too. Good luck to us all and God hears our cries we will get there!! A special thanks to Heather5 and the rest of our bfp's for not leaving us when you got your dream. It helps and encourages others when we hear the success stories! God Bless You All and my DH and I truly appreciate, respect, and pray for you!

Thanks you all!! That made me feel better. The spotting hasn't stopped so oh well, but my hubby felt bad about it all and brought home and fixed a nice steak supper for me. So oh well, he just isn't emotional. I don't know what we are going to do yet but most likely its just going to be taking a break. I am lucky for the two miracles that I do have and I know my grandma is taking care of the one that is in heaven with her so I know its ok. Thanks so much for the support and I hope that you all get your BFP soon!
Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust
