Thanks so much for all your support Silapooh and  Shellbell & Heather 5 and EVERYONE!!!

Good luck fairyzduzt-my beta is the 14 Thurs, so results back on the 15, I suppose.  I took a HPT Monday & BFN, so I'll try again tomorrow but I don't feel the cramps or intense hunger pains anymore, so I'm not feeling so positive.  Cramps ARE normal, and progesterone gives you all sorts of preggo responses-it's really misleading!  I'm already making plans for next time, although my hubby will hit the roof!

Twinsdesires-40 is NOT too old!!  43, maybe!  Most clinics go up to 42.  Your egg number this time was just so impressive!! Hopefully you can freeze any extras.  I also have my first IVF Feb, with 3 eggs, then just 2 this last time.  They did do assisted hatching, which is supposed to be helpful for older moms.  Take a break then keep trying-don't wait like I did.  The stats from 40 to 43 are so different!  I read that there are some good books that just published with great ttc diets-has anyone read any?

Mommyof2-I'm so sorry this is so hard and traumatic.  Try to pamper yourself-you and you body have been through a very rough few months.  We are all here for you and know how it feels.  Feel better soon!!

Wishing & blowing happy sticky fairy baby dust to you all!

by Silapooh, May 12, 2009 03:25PM
susannah2- no problem, you know we are all here for each other. I am still praying and hoping for positive results. You should get your results the same day...please keep us posted:-)

bfromthed- I also have you in my prayers...

Sending everyone lots of sticky baby bust!!!!

I don't know what is going on with my body.  I guess I am cycle day 2 again.  I started some bleeding yesterday and have some today.  It's light bleeding. Oh well, starting again.  :~)  I will continue to OPK just in case.  Maybe since I had a d&c my period is light.  I am not going to take clomid this cycle, just try it out naturally.  :~)  Bring on more BFPs this year.  :~)

Today is our 8 year anniversary.  We went out for dinner, had a strawberry daquiri, and I am happy.  I couldn't ask for a better husband, I love him so much.  I couldn't do everything I have done without him, and with all the wonderful support from here. Have a wonderful week ladies, and sending truckloads of SSBD and POSITIVE VIBES!!!

by mama1981, May 12, 2009 08:20PM
bfromthed-Thank you for the beautiful words!  GOD has put us all in each (cyber) lives for a reason, if not for anything else, to be an inspiration to one another.  Know that we are always here for you just as you are for us :-)

mwhitcomb-Happy Anniversary!!!We celebrated our 7 year (official wedding) ann a week ago so I can definitely relate.  Thank GOD for supportive DHs.  Even though all of them have different emotions, it is support but in their own special way...Good luck to you this month...

ALL-wishing everyone a great week and sucessful procedures this cycle so more BFPs can be posted on the list....

contining to pray for us all...

by mommyoftwo28644, May 13, 2009 08:51AM
Well ladies I have a game plan if AF arrives between now and Sunday we are doing one more round of Clomid and Metformin and if it doesn't work then we are going to try something different and see what happens since it will be less money. We are going to do a bcp 2 days then none until the pack is gone and see what happens there since I did get pregnant twice on them and I am to keep taking the metformin.

Thanks for all the support, I really needed it this time, it was a rough few days for me!

bfromthed: I hope you had a great anniversary! I know 8 years is great. My hubby and I just had our 8 year last month!

Pearl maybe it was too early dear. I know how you feel we are pretty much doing one more cycle and then taking a break from the meds. You were brave I can't do that! :o)

Sending the snowblower to all of you with extra extra extra super sticky baby dust
Hugs

To: ALL THE LADIES....
GOODMORNING.....Yesterdy felt like a grey day for me.....my RE thinks something is going on with my lining....because after embryo transfer i bleed withing 6 to 8 days automatically.....so now for my last attempt he wants to do a FET and watch my lining the next month without meds and then transfer....so this will be a 2 month wait....
The doc put me back on my Birth Control yesterday....
Im going directly back into the next cycle.....
Is there a way to make the lining sticky???? Is there a diet that assist with this????
Please share any and all info....i feel so uneducated in this area.....i knew all about tubal reversals but this takes me to another level.....all i know this is my last attempt through insurance and its gotta work......unless he has a heck of a discount for a fouth attempt....Well i love you all and im really praying for out BFP.......look forward to coming home reading some post.......

heather: goodluck for tomorrow,as long as i remeber ur U/S is tomorrow.goodluck my dear.cant wait to hear about ur babys.takecare.let me know as soon as u come back from clinic.

pearl I guess if ur blood work is on fri u did early HPT specialy with clear blue it needhigh HCG level in body to show the result.so the best early HPT is first response ,if u check in that it will show early even if u have 15mu hcg in ur body, but u have to buy the regular one which says 1line means not prego II lines means prego.thats the best early HPT.if u wanna try.or just wait till B/W.i also get tender bb's b4 my AF,this time also i got so i thought too it didnt work but guess what as u know i got my BFP.so dont worry looks like ur symptoms r going good direction.goodluck & lots of baby dust.

ALL: goodluck to everyone who is trying for this month.lots & lots of baby dust & baby vibes on ur way.

Thanks all for the supportive words:) you all r soo sweet...I am also waiting for my b/w now..I have a question ..how should be the CM before Af..normally i have no Cm at all..its all dry inside but this time i noticed lot of CM the whole month...is this because of progestrone capsules m taking?
One more thing i wanted to share..i am really very upset with me RE and her billing office..she told me she chkd with my insurance and they dont cove IUI at all..so i was on self pay package both cycles..but now when i recieved my insurance statements they have covered everything except day12 ultrasound ..i called the re billing office and she was very rude...she said they didnt get nything from my insurance..dont know wht to do..

Heather waiting to hear from you...

Goodluck to all others TTC:)

ALL,

As you all know I am in the process of IVF, today is 7th day of stimms, anyways DH never did an SA at the RE's office he did one 1 year ago at the my OBGYN. So they realize that he didnt he needed to get a new one since its been a year anyways got the results today and I was am so sad because Re said he has low morphology, what does this mean? Maybe this is the reason for not getting pregnant, and i year ago his SA was normal/borderline.

Any one???

by Heather5, May 13, 2009 11:34PM
Hi girls! Just thought I'd check in... I'm soooo nervous about tomorrow! I just pray they find a heartbeat (please!). I have to say, I've actually been feeling a bit scared lately. As a matter of fact, last friday, I didn't even think I was pregnant anymore. I've really only had one symptom this whole time, sore BBs, and Friday morning it was all gone. I was totally freaked out! And then nothing that whole day! But then they started to get more tender again on Saturday, which made me feel a bit better. But the thing is, I'm on progesterone, so wouldn't they get sore no matter what? I don't know... Too many thoughts in my head!

Shellbell: I'm sorry to hear about your DH's low SA...but you know what? That's when IVF is the perfect treatment! My RE used to say that you can always get around sperm issues by doing IVF...and you're already in the middle of stimming for one, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. Oh and 10 follies sounds like a great response after just four days!!!

SSBD to everyone!

Thanks, everyone, for all your support! You guys are truly the best!

Wow Heather Congrats!!!  A healthy baby & heartbeat is the best news ever!!  Now just take care of yourself and enjoy every moment!

Sad news for me-a BFN-I thought so as I had stopped feeling any cramps or nausea last week.  I'll take 1-2 months off & lose some of this hormone-induced weight, try to enjoy the summer a little, then probably try at least w/clomid.  A friend of mine has extra donor eggs she used for her 6 yr old son and 3 yr old triplets, I asked about the extra eggs & she is thinking about it-says she is too attached to them right now even though they won't be using any more.  So we'll see.  Feeling slightly devastated, I really thought the assisted hatching would do the trick.  Anyway, best wishes & baby dust to everyone else!!

by Heather5, May 14, 2009 11:30PM
Thank you guys soooo much! I wouldn't have been able to get through all this without you guys. And thanks for all the notes too! I really appreciate all the support :-)

Agini: I'm actually not sure when my next checkup will be. My RE officially released me to my obgyn today after seeing the heartbeat...but I was so totally out of it after the sonogram that I forgot to ask if I'm suppose to contact him myself or if they'll be sending him my records. Guess I'll have to give my obgyn a call tomorrow! He will be so excited about the news! He's a man of few words, but he's really great! He and his two wonderful nurses have helped me through two miscarriages in the past, and I know they will be just so happy for me! I can't believe you've had some morning sickness over the past few days...that's such great news! Not that it's fun to be nauseous, but hey, it's a pretty good sign that things are going well for you!

Marline: I'll definitely need you all to help keep me sane...LOL...so I really appreciate your support. How's the studying going?

Silapooh: I have a feeling you'll be one of our next BFPs! Do you have any more info on when the DET will be taking place? I guess it depends on the donor to a certain extent...like how many days of stims she needs...but approximately? And are you using the same donor or a different one this time? Either way, I hope it turns into a BIG FAT POSITIVE!

bfromthed: That's so sweet of you to keep checking in for my update ;-) Thank you for being such a good friend! How are the shots coming along? Can't wait to hear your update after your ultrasound on Saturday!

Pearl: Good luck tomorrow! I hope the test you did the other day was just too early and that you get a BFP tomorrow! SSBD!!!

Kramik: How's the 2WW coming along? Any interesting signs or symptoms yet?

Shellbell: When is your next checkup? I'm so excited about your IVF cycle and can't wait to hear hear how you're cycle's progressing!!! Keep us posted, OK!

Twinsdesires: I believe it's estrogen that builds the lining in the beginning of the cycle, and then progesterone takes over after ovulation to make it soft and "comfy" for the embryo. What type of progesterone were you on in your last cycle? Maybe a higher dose or a different type would help? But I guess either way, if you're doing a natural cycle transfer, you'll have the advantage of producing your own progesterone as well that month, so that could be a big help too! Best of luck!

BabyMamas: I'm hereby passing the twins baton over to you, since I only have one little blueberry onboard :-) Hope you're enjoying your break!

Mandy: I'm so glad you have a gameplan for the next few months, but hopefully you'll get your BFP this first round on clomid!!! Got my fingers crossed for you!

mwhitcomb: Happy (belated) Anniversary! Sounds like the two of you had the perfect evening! Hoping to get you back up on the BFP list very soon!!!

Susannah: Oh no...I'm so sorry to hear that :-( A BFN is always such a big disappointment, but it's even more devastating after IVF. I hope the next round will bring your your well-deserved BFP, whether it's on your own or by using your friend's donor eggs. HUGS!

Fairyzduzt: How are you doing! I think the mild cramps you're describing could be a very good sign!  It could be from implantation!

Mommica: How are you doing?

I am so glad that everything turned out great for you. And I am so excited that your lil one is doing that well. Thats such a good and strong heartbeat. We will say a prayer for you that the next 4 and a half weeks go by fast so you want be such a nervous wreck.

This will be our last round of clomid next cycle which I am sure will start any day now since I have been spotting on and off since last saturday. Don't know what happened this time, but oh well. It just wasn't meant to be yet. I am doing 150 of clomid and the 1000 of metformin again this will be my third round on this dosage and if by chance it doesn't work he has decided to go with a low dose birth control me take a pill or two then skip two since I did get pregnant twice on the pill we will just have to monitor everything closely. Have you heard of that before?
Hugs and heres to you having a wonderful and healthy 8 and half months to go!

That is great that you got to see your little ones heartbeat.  I am so happy to hear everything went well.

As for me I am 12 dpo for the last couple days I can't stay awake - some cramps,  hungry constantly bbs a little tender.  runny nose.  BUT I decided to break out and test this morning with the test strips frm early pregnancy tests . com and it was a BFN so I think I am out.

by shellbell75, May 15, 2009 09:11AM
Heather, I am so happy for you OMG!!! I prayed yesterday for you to see a heartbeat, so so excited for you.

As for me had another scan this morning, I think I count about 11follies ranging from 13 to 16 most of them are 15 to 16mm, they are going easy on me my RE said he prefers quality not quantity, so now drop the dose and next and final scan (i think) is on Sunday, ER might be Tuesday, not sure yet about the ET. I am so nervous also we will be doing ICSI (inject the sperm in the egg) bec of DH morphology, I got his numbers they got 82 mil sperm (20mil and up is normal), motility 70% (50% is normal) and the morphology is 8% (they want 15%) dont know what to expect!!!!

I'm s excited for you. This is a true blessing dear friend. Any clues on what you think you're carrying.....:)  I think we should eventually throw in a baby pool on Cycle Buddies. As per the twins, I am attemting one more IUI and doubt they'd come that way. If we have to go the IVF route, then more likely....I'll try and trick my body by taking lots of folic acid....I hear that this helps increase ur chances of twins post IVF. Keep us all posted. looking fwd to going thru this journey with you...;)))

Hello everyone!
I was hoping someone could help me..............
I had my transfer on may 10th  with 3 embryos transferred and triggered with (2) 250 ovidrel shots on the 8th of may. How long will those stay in my system first? And what at this day the 17th would a HPT show? a BFN or a BFP? I am curious as to what I should be seeing and when I should expect to see opposite results. My beta is on Wed of this week and that to me seems to be a bit soon. If they have to tell me I have a BFN because they tested too soon, I would rather not know. Also, which is the most accurate HPT to use?

Sounds like your RE in on the right track. When I got pregnant before...my follies were 20 and above...I don't think there's a high success rate when they are below 20. As per the twins...will leave it up to GOD..just want him to know that I'm open and will blessed to have them! SSBD!

Shellbell-I am so excited for you and your IVF procedure.   Seems like yesterday you posted the news of it being covered and you'd be starting.  Time flies so fast :-)  Your dh had great numbers.  With the ICSI all will be fine as I know they'll only select the best ones. I'll continue to pray that all goes well for you.  Can't wait to hear hoe egg retrieval goes.  You'll be on the BFP list very soon my dear...

ALL - Continue to hang in there.  I try to post message that gives us all hope and inspiration to get thru this ttc ordeal we have been going thru.  God answers all prayers and does miracles.  We are just in line waiting for it to be our turn, :-)

Stay blessed xo,

Thanks for the anniversary congrats! 8years seems like a long time, but I am very blessed to have a wonderful husband.

Shellbell:  It's a good thing if they lowered the dosage, you do not what to become OHSS.  Plus you want good quality eggs for your IVF  :)  I am so excited for you!!!!  Your always in my prayers.  Let me know how your follies continue to grow.

Bfromthed:  YAY!  little follies grow, grow, grow!!!!  Praying for your BFP soon.  It looks like they give you the same meds that they do for IVF.  Interesting.  I guess I didn't realize that before.  SSBD!!!

Heather5:  I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!  166 is a great number, and I pray for a quick healthy nine months for you.  Keep us posted.  I love to hear about your progress.  It continues to give me hope.

AS FOR ME,  I GOT A POSITIVE OPK TODAY!!!!!!  Guess it's time for BDing  ;~)  WOOHOO!!!  I am trying to do the sperm and egg plan.  So bd'ing for 3 days, 1 day break, then bd one more time, then wait.  From my calculations,  I should be able to take a HPT on June 1st, I think.  Praying to get a HUGE BFP this time a round with a healthy full nine months.   SSBD BY THE TRUCKLOADS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

Hey y'all..sorry about the delay in communication.  I was out of town at a conference at work and had no internet access...So I went on Friday, while at this conference, to get my Beta and it was BFP!!!  The level was 271...I have no idea what is normal or not .  Does anyone know if there is a normal??  I couldn't get to my second beta today because it is sunday and I was still traveling, so I am so nervous.    They didn't seem too concerned at the clinic, but I am still anxious and yet SOOO excited.  I go tomorrow for the confirmation.

Heather- I am SOOO happy for you.  You so deserve this!  I keep watching you and just keep praying that I will be following in your footsteps.  All of your comments and assistance has been so helpful.  Yea!!!

twins desired -I almost freaked out on Wed because I started bleeding/spotting.  I thought for sure it didn't work, but I tried to keep the faith.  They actually changed me from a vaginal progesterone suppository to IM progesterone shots that are bruising me up.  Sure enough, I stopped spotting.  Maybe this would help you too?!?

agini- good luck tomorrow.  I am sure everything is going great!  No worries and stay positive for that little baby/babies

Shellbell - Keep positive thoughts.  I too had lots of follies and felt very bloated and uncomfortable.  they assured me it was ok.  Just be sure that you are resting and once they transfer, make sure that you have LOTs of rest.  I am so glad that they discovered DH's SA.  ICSI will surely work.  It only takes the best of those millions to work!  I am so sure that it will work!  I will keep you in my thoughts the next couple days.  Stay positive and relaxed!

All- thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  I appreciate your encouraging words.  I could not have done it without you.  Keep your fingers crossed for me that the second beta is lots highers.

Virtual hugs to you all

all: once again thank u so much for all the prayers.

by Heather5, May 18, 2009 01:00AM

Sunshine/Chris: CONGRATULATIONS!!! 271 is a GREAT number! Keep us posted after you have your follow up beta tomorrow! I’m sure it will show a nice big increase! Yay!!!

Looking4ablessing: Welcome to the thread! I really hope you do get to hold little Savannah in your arms in about nine months or so! As for the trigger, a 10,000 unit shot is generally out of your system in 10 days or less. Although, I’m not sure how long it takes for two shots to get out of your system. You’ll know for sure on Wednesday, though! (By the way, I had my blood test 10 days post transfer, too). Best of luck!!!

Agini: Best of luck tomorrow! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust for your ultrasound!!! Keep us posted when you get back so we can celebrate that heartbeat with you!

Fairyzduzt: How are you holding up? Notice anything interesting yet?

Mandy: I’m sorry to hear about AF. That’s interesting that you’ve gotten pregnant twice on the pill. I’ve never heard of that type of treatment cycle before, but based on your history, it does sound like it could work for you. But of course, you won’t even need to worry about that, because you’ll get your BFP this cycle :-)

Kramik: 12 dpo is pretty early… did you test again? Sending you a truckload of SSBD for a big fat positive!

Pearl: Oh man….I’m so sorry about AF. You’re right, she really is a witch! You better tell her this is the last time in about nine months she’s allowed to visit! Sending you lots of sticky baby vibes for your new cycle!!!

BabyMamas: Hmmm! I have no idea what gender my little nugget might be. DH kinda wants a girl and I’m thinking a boy…but of course the gender really doesn’t matter, as long as it is a healthy baby! I’ve heard the same thing Mona mentioned, though, that boys tend to have a higher h/b, so maybe it is a little boy :-) As for your twins to be, I hope you’ll get to have one of each! How cute would that be!!!

Shellbell: Wow! Lots of nice mature follicles!!! I’m sorry about the bloating and uncomfortable feeling, though. I actually felt the most bloated and uncomfortable the day after retrieval, so just FYI, if you can, maybe take an extra day off. The retrieval itself doesn’t hurt at all, since you’re totally out! LOL! I’ll be praying for you so that everything goes well on Tuesday and you won’t develop OHSS. Can’t wait to hear how many they retrieve!!!

Silapooh: Keep us posted when you get your protocol! Can’t wait to hear about your BFP in June!

Bfromthed: Sounds like you’re already responding very well to the meds! Keep us posted when you have your next checkup! SSBD!!!

Mona: So good to hear from you…and thank you so much for the well wishes! I wouldn’t mind a little baby boy :-) LOL! How are you doing? How many weeks are you now and how are you feeling? Can’t wait to hear if you’re having a little boy or girl!

Marline: Glad to hear the studying is going well! Good luck with everything and SSBD, too!!!

Mwhitcomb: Wohooo! A positive OPK! Best of luck over the next few days! I’ve read about the sperm meets egg plan before, and I remember many women saying it helped them get pregnant, so hopefully it’ll be your ticket to a STICKY BFP in early June!

Shellbelle thats a great amount!! I am so glad maybe this will be your first BFP when are they going to do your transfer? I am really praying for you. Yeah it was a hard decision but I think after this cycle and being it will be 6 rounds of clomid we do need a little break and espically to get through the summer and the wedding. But we aren't going to completely stop we are just going to try the bcp/metformin method who knows it might actually work if it doesn't this cycle.

Angi good luck today I can't wait to hear how you are doing!

Heather thats great! I am so glad to hear that you are doing well.

All: I should start clomid tomorrow. I think they are just going to call it in to save us some money. They are really great about that. I just hope it works this time, I don't want to have another breakdown like I did on mothers day. I hope that everyone gets there bfp soon!

Snowblowers a blowing that ssbd to everyone!

Oh your welcome and Thanks! I will pray that everything goes well for it tomorrow. :o) Yeah let me know how everything goes! Well I have been on it this time for 5 rounds instead of 6. I miscalculated. I forgot that we had too thick of a lining that one month and took that month off. I am hoping that this cycle is it so I don't have to worry about the bc pills again even though its sort-of a new/rare method that he has been using I just worry about a miscarriage with it like the one in november. but oh well, anything is worth a try now. Keep me updated on how everything goes tomorrow. You deserve your lil miracle(s) soon!

ALL:   hi everyone first of all thank u so much 4 all the prayers.i just came back from U/S, everything is prefectly fine,we say our baby,( yes its one) we r having one baby.we saw our babys heart beat but couldnt able to hear the heartbeat.actualy iam not satisfied with my Dr,actulay i didnt go to RE they refered me to regular gynec,so he did the U/S & the hearbeat was so clear we ask him he not gonna check heart beat he said no ,no need he can see its good,we asked he not gonna measure the heart beat he said no need to ,we asked what about in future he said no,he ask me to come in for next U/S in 18weeks,at that time also he not gonns check heart beat.but iam happy to see my baby.we r planing to see my RE so she can do U/S & we able to hear heartbeat.there was one ,more black spot neaxt to the baby sac he said thats a cyst which iam not convinced.he said its normal to have cyst at 1st trimister.
iam so happy atleast i have one heaithy baby.once again thank u so much 4 all the prayers & goodwishes.

heather: when is ur 2nd U/S???r they gonna do 2nd U/S????

by agini, May 18, 2009 02:41PM
ALL: by the way my baby measures 12mm.

by Heather5, May 18, 2009 03:14PM
Agini: Yay! Congrats on seeing the baby and heartbeat!!! Sounds like you're measuring right on track! My little blueberry was 10 mm when I had mine done at 7 weeks, 1 day, and I was told that was normal. Since you're now 7 weeks, 4 days, 12 mm sounds just perfect!

Sorry about all the frustrations with the doctor, though. I can't believe he refused to check the heart rate. But, at least you know everything looked good, since he didn't even feel the need to check it. Still a bit weird, though...

I'm actually not sure when I'll have my next ultrasound, but it'll definitely be before 18 weeks! Since I've had miscarriages in the past, I'll probably get a few more than normal, though.

Congrats, again! I'm so happy everything looked good!

Thanks for all your sweet comments...I am so excited.  I did get my second Beta done today and it was 1009..3 days instead of 2 days later, so that is really good they tell me.  I have an US at week5 and at week 7 with constent pregesterone checking because of the spotting in the beginning.  My hiney is killing me from these shots...any recommendations for pain relief??  Whatever, I will endure if it means healthy baby/babies.

Agini..congrats on seeing the heart beating.  I am so glad that he/she is nice and healthy.  That is all we can pray for.

heather - when is the biggest risk of MC.  I am keeping positive, but I like to know what I am dealing with...

silapooh - thanks for all of your sweet thoughts...yours will be here before you know it..  Stay postitive and believe.  I really had to fight my negitive thoughts and just tried to relax...good luck with the DET..when will it be??

Looking4ablessing - sending positive vibes your way for wednesday. I am so hoping you will have a BFP.

Kramik - I am sorry about the visit from AF.  Don't give up, we have all been there and with each other's support we will all have our successes...however those look.  Sending you a big virtual hug!!

thanks again y'all.

Congrats sunshine. I know this sounds bad but maybe instead of shots they can give you suppositories. I have to have those (they are made for me) since I am allergic to nuts. That might help some.

Heather - Please update the list.  I am CD 2 today.

AF showed up yesterday, 05/17/09.  This month only 24 day cycle.  Did not even feel my ovulation this month.  It made me nervous so I am going to call my RE and talk to him about it.

mwhitcomb-Positive OPK!!! That is great.  You'll be back on the BFP list before you know it :-)

Shellbell - Good luck with your retrieval tomorrow.  I know what you mean about being bloated.  Seems like you have A LOT going on in there :-)
Can't wait to see you on the list as well.

Hi all, I'm new to this so hoping I send this out correctly.  I've been reading comments for about 6 months now and have been thankful to hear about other people's situations.  I would never wish this misery on anyone but it is nice to know that others have the same frustrations I have!!!  I just had 1st IVF cycle and I'm 10dp3dt.  Beta is tomorrow but spotted over the weekend and took HPT which was negative.  So I'm thinking this will be unsuccesfull.  For all of you who are in the 2ww, my thoughts and prayers are with you.  to all who have just gotten great news, I'm so happy for you b/c I know what you have been struggling with, and to those who have not had great news, I wsh you the best of luck.  Looking forward to finding the support I need through this.

I have a question..
Can i change my RE at this point like after 2 iuis..If yes ..do i have to go through all the tests again like HSG and all...
Does anyone knows any Good RE in chicago area..

beingstrong: Welcome to the thread and best of luck with your beta today! You never know...you might get a big surprise! I've heard of several women who were getting negative HPTs before a positive beta!

Shellbell: I hope everything went well today and that they got lots of nice little eggies! Keep us posted when you have a chance, OK?

Silapooh: I haven't noticed any major cravings yet...but let me tell you, all of the sudden I can't stand the thought of steamed broccoli. And I've always loved broccoli! I just realized this yesterday, as I was making dinner, so maybe that's my first food aversion...

Sunshine: Congrats on another great number!!! I would try not to worry about miscarriages (although look who's talking!), but they generally tend to happen in the first trimester. Once you see a heartbeat, however, the risk goes down quite a bit. But like I said, try not to worry about that. You're lucky to be getting a 5 week ultrasound! Agini and I both had to wait almost three weeks between our last betas and our 7-week sonogram. Just keep in mind that a 5-week sonogram is probably not going to show a fetal pole yet. You'll be able to see the sac and possibly the yolk sac inside, but that's pretty much it. But the good thing is, the dr. will be able to verify that the sac is in the right place (the uterus) and that it's a the right stage for your gestational age. The fetal pole and heartbeat will usually start to show sometime during the 6th week, so you should be able to see that on your 7-week checkup.

Mandy: So did you start clomid today? Sending you lots of SSBD for this cycle!!!

Marline: I'm so sorry to hear you got your period... I think that's a good idea to talk to your RE, especially since your cycle was so much shorter than normal and you didn't feel O this time. Good luck and let us know what he/she says!

Mwhitcomb: Wow! I hadn't heard that before about eating and boys ;-)  Since you had your positive OPK two days ago, I think I'll add you to the 2WW list as 1 dpo today. Let me know if I need to change this. SSBD!!!

bfromthed: Sounds like your little follies are making some great progress! Keep us posted, OK?

Pearl: I'm sorry you're not feeling comfortable with your current RE. I actually changed REs, too, about a year ago, and I'm so happy I did, because my new RE is really good and much more on top of things. You should be able to have your records transferred to your new RE, so there's no need to have all the tests done over again. I actually just told my new RE what I had had done, including tests, results and procedures (I also typed it up, printed it and brought him a copy), and never got around to asking my previous RE to transfer my records. My new RE was fine with that, so you might be able to do the same.

SSBD!!!

Heather: We talked and decided to start clomid on day 4 since I have faster response on that day he was pretty sure the quality would be the same since I take it at night. If it doesn't happen this cycle I will be glad to not be on clomid again because of the headaches. I really can't function with them sometimes. But if its worth it I can manage it. This is round 5 of clomid so we are hoping it will work (round 3 at 150 mg) If not we will try the b/c for a few months and see so we can fix our budget some. I just looked at it today and we have spent $4900 since this time last year so I am hoping that its finally my turn to be happy so I can put the molar pregnancy and miscarriage behind me its been a rough few days for me again. My daughters coach had a labor spell yesterday and it got me since I would have been a month behind her. I am so blessed I have two little angels with me here. Thanks for the suppport and letting me vent on this message board and to you right now... :o) How are you feeling? Any cravings or symptoms?

Shellbelle Praying for you today keep me posted on the everything!

Pearl: I know how you feel the stress on ttc is really hard and when you don't have a re that respects your wishes I can't imagine. I will pray for you. I am sending you a bunch of hugs!

Snowblowers a blowing to you all! Lots of SSBD!

I just heard back on my beta levels.  they were only 34.5.  It still is considered positive though and I quess at this point they are just hoping that when I go back on friday for bloodwork they will have doubled.  I'm not sure how I'm feeling.  I was convinced it was another failed attempt (months of opk's and planned "fun", endless tests, several clomid cycles, 2 iui's) and was miserable but trying to look at the possibility of success on the next cycle, and now I'm in limbo again.  Still light spotting and mild cramping.  Has anyone had a normal pregnancy with numbers this low, light spotting, and cramping?

Can anyone tell me what normal or good progesterone levels are? I had an iui this past weds, with my progesterone level @ 30.76 on Sunday morning. What dos this mean?

by kdm805, May 19, 2009 11:58PM
Its very uplifting to hear everyones postive successes! Im starting menopur tomorrow and nervous. I've had 3 failed IUIs with combo cycle. My estradiol came back today with less than 20. Is that bad? I read that normal starts at 25...

Pearl1980- hang in there, crying is healthy. I cried at the REs office today cause I could see that she felt bad for me.

Those who are on the journey, I wish all of you luck with LOTS OF SSBD!

by looking4ablessing, May 20, 2009 12:02AM
Heather, thank you so much for being the rock that you are, for the warm welcome, your success which gives us hopefuls more hope. Thank you very much for adding me to the list. I instantly felt apart of something and it felt/feels great. The fee people in my family that know about me going through IVF know nothing about IVF and it makes my struggles that much more difficult-the lack of understanding.

Sunshine! You are really a sunshine, what a way to find out you are BFP! How exciting, I am smiling while saying it lol! How wonderful, thank you for thinking of me. I have had a really rough past couple of days and wam! here comes a ray of sunshine with warm wishes. I cannot thank you enough and wish you soooo much happiness and a belly that grows round and full with your little one. I will keep you posted on me.

Silapooh! Please do not stop praying for me I need those most of all. THANK YOU for thinking of me, these have to be the longest 2wks of my life!! I had no idea every day would seem like 10 my goodness! June is a great time to start a cycle I wish you all the best.
Okay all you great women, I have had 2 of the most depressing days I can remember. I am sure it is all the hormones - or perhaps all the HPTs I have been taking. I have taken a total of 7 so far lol, I know I am bad and funny thing is I knew they could not say BFP but I could not stop myself. Every BFN somehow just began wearing me down I guess and this morning I had two going at the same time. Why do we do these things to ourselves???? But what really kicked me in the butt was yesterday after of course recieving  BFN for the day, my sweet Dad pops up to mow my lawn and says to me:
"Hey babygirl (with a smile on his face) guess what! I say what Dad, he says my friend tells me she had a dream last night I was holding a newborn baby  and smiling from ear to ear!" As sweet as that was girls I felt like crying.
I come from a very fertile family, everyone has children but me. One brother has 12 alone, another has 11 another 7 etc.....my oldest niece whom I have always been very close with is pregnant AGAIN, I have barely been able to talk to her since we found out. Not because I am jealous, but because it seems as if some women has to only think baby and they are pregnant and then complaining about it! Okay now I am feeling emotional again. I have to stop talking and go to bed. But I want everyone to know, I appreciate ALL of you so much!!!!!!!!!
I go tomorrow for my beta that I am so anxious about but also so darn scared of and I get the results back thurs after 3:30p so I am wondering, will I dodge the phone on thursday or actually telekinetically hear it before it actually rings in anticipation. LOL!!
Goodnite ladies, God bless and more BFP's across the board so I can come out of this worry mode! Hey, does anyone know the factors that can PREVENT the embryos from implanting?? I just wish we could put duck tape in there at transfer and say "Now stay" lol!
Goodnite.

Thank you for sharing your success, I have my beta tomorrow and have no idea what if anything was my first HCG number. All,

So they got 20 eggs not sure if thats ok, the nurse said if i had continue the meds they wouldve gotten more and it was a risk of OHSS waiting for a call today to see how many fertilize! the cramps are getting worse if this doesn't work, i dont know if I can go thru this again....i am so sore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you for thinking and praying for me.

Well I just had my bloodwork done at the RE's office, then doubled around to the local hospital's lab for a quantitive HCG beta and it was <2
I am just sick. I could not wait until tomorrow to hear the results I had to know something today and I am totally devastated. My RE is one of the best in his field, I simply do not understand this! He graduated FIRST in his class for goodness sake how can this possibly happen. I thank all of you for your wonderful support. I do not think I will be able to try it again. I am trying very hard to keep my emotions in check right now-at least until I get home. Take care everyone! God Bless and I pray all of you get BFP's it is too devastating not too.

Well ladies it was BFN. Have an appt. on June 4th to see what to do next.

by Heather5, May 20, 2009 01:43PM
Looking4ablessing: I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. That's just not fair. I know you said you're not sure you can afford another IVF, but do you have any frozen embryos at all? My heart truly goes out to you and your DH...

Pearl: I know how you feel...I've been there too. But you know what? It will happen, so please don't give up! Sending you a BIG cyber hug!

Shellbell: The day after retrieval was by far the worst one for me, so hopefully, you'll start feeling better again soon! Congrats again on your 12 little fertilized eggies!

bfromthed: Keep us posted after your appointment tomorrow! Can't wait to see how big those 11s have gotten!

Mypleatogod: Welcome to the thread and best of luck this month! I'll add your info to the list :-)

fairyzduzt: Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about the BFN. I know this must be a difficult time for you, but please know that we are all here for you! HUGS!

Jessime: Haven't heard from you in a while... I hope you're doing OK. I have you listed as CD36. Any updates?

Mandy: Sorry you've been feeling a bit down over the last couple of days, but I'm sure things will turn around for you. Got my fingers crossed that the fifth round of clomid will do the trick!!!

beingstrong: Congrats! I hope the number more than doubles by Friday! Keep us posted, OK?

Browneyevirgo: That's a great progesterone number! Most doctor like to see a level over 10 in a natural cycle or a level over 15 in a medicated cycle :-)

Kdm: Welcome to the thread! So are you cycle day 4 today then? Let me know and I'll update your info on the list. I'm not really sure what an estrogen level of less than 20 means. Did your doctor say anything? I've always heard that lower numbers mean you have a better chance of simulating, but I've also heard the the normal is 25 and up, so I'm really not sure how that works. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about and you get your BFP very soon!

BabyMamas: How are things going with you? Are you getting closer to starting your next cycle yet? Let us know, so we know when to start cheering!

All: I woke up early this morning with some pretty bad cramps, and it really scared me, since I've had two miscarriages in the past. But so far no spotting, and it seems a bit better again now, so hopefully it was all just normal early-pregnancy cramps. I also set up my next checkup today with my obgyn for next Tuesday. So just hoping and praying that everything will continue to develop normally....

SSBD to everyone!

fairyzduzt & looking4ablessing- I am so sorry to hear about your BFN, I was also very devastated when I got my BFN because I was almost sure that I would get a BFP on the first try. But, just know that we are all here for you and we have all been there. Stay encouraged and know that your time will come very soon!

Shellbell- oh my! Congratulations...12 fertilized is awesome! Get some rest and get ready for your transfer:-)

Heather- Everything will be fine. I know that you are worried because of your past experience w/miscarriages and that is understandable but, be assured that we are all praying for you and standing in faith that you will have a wonderful 9 months of pregancy.

All- to all the BFP, congratulations again. You are all inspiration to us who had a BFN. It is still early in 2009 so you know the the BFP list WILL continue to grow. God Bless:-)

fairyzduzt & looking4ablessing-; very very sorry to hear about the news.but please please dont loose the hope.look at me i was TTC from last 6 years ,tryed everything i can.3 failed IUI's, lots of other techniques, then 1 faied ivf, after 6 years of struggle i got BFP.so keep ur hopes up.

Pearl :-  goodluck with ur IUI.dont think right now about ivf.just pray & visualise that this iui will work 4 u.goodluck. about ivf depnds,1st they will put u on birthcontrol pills for 1 month everone is different.like for my feb 1st ivf they put me on BC in dec ,then i start taking injections in jan & the ER &ET was in feb.so u r planing to go to india for IVF.i will suggest something,if u r thinking to do in india becasue of the coast then let me tell u in the end it will be same or more in india .becasue u have to think of the fair from here to india, then u have to stay there for a while so that coast.so if u will count all those it endsup same.one of our friend went to india to try ivf she tryed 2 times over there, but she didnt got sucess she came back she tryed here now she is blessed with 2boys.& depend which part of india u r going???so right now just concentrate on IUI.takecare.

Agini, thank you very very much! I did give up hope and had ALOT of anger but it is people like you, who have been there and keep pushing others/me to go the distance and keep the faith. I am very very appreciative of your words and thoughts. Congratulations too you! You will be a wonderful mother!

Silapooh thank you for your words prayers and hopes for me! Keep them coming and fingers crossed lol!

Heather, you are such a dear with sooo much energy-keeping all of us going! I do not know how you do it and cannot thank you enough. However, it it comes at the risk of putting to much stress on you and the little one, then please for Heaven's sake stop it! We all need the little one to stay safe and continue to grow strong in your belly. So take it easy because he or she (or two lol!) is all that matters right now and I know everyone agrees. And do not let the past scare you of the future, that was then, this is today and today is all that matters.

Shellbell WONDERFUL WONDERFUL NEWS! I did a hip hip hooray when I read 12 fertilized lol!!!!! How amazing you are very blessed a little pain is worth the whole lot of gain. Take it easy and be pampered! Many hugs and smiles too you!

Fairyzdutz I hope you are okay, I know 100% the devastation and if one more person says to me it is not my time, I may puke on them. My husband told me this morning I have to stop feeling as if this is something I need and begin to look as this as a want and get "greedy" about it, then I am giving off a new energy, it is a different vibe. So I will say to you what he said to me: Do not need it but want it with every fiber of your being and claim it that this is want you WANT and project it every second of the day! We will get there.........!

ALL
I went to see my RE today, I needed answers. I arrived at his office same time as him, rode up the elevator with him, but NO I did not discuss my frustration in the elevator, I commented on the beautiful day. In the office however, I needed to know what went wrong. He told me my embryos were 8cell, however, they were grade 4 and 5
Of course this upset me and after all the reading I had been doing prior to IVF I would not have agreed to a transfer of this quality. But what really bothered me is the fact that I asked over and over again after their quality/grade and was always given the answer of "don't know" I asked this question up to the point of going into the OR to have the transfer. He said if I do it again he would take $2000 off the cost and add ganirelex to my meds of menopur and gonal he would also skip the lupron and try different retrieval/length of time on meds.
My husband wants to do it again. So now I am waiting for AF to ARRIVE can you believe it? (I did not want to see her again for 10mos) so I can start my BC again. Keep me in your prayers, I hope she pays me a visit by this sunday so Kramik tell her she went to the WRONG house, she just needed patience. I am so sorry she visited you. I pray after this visit she will not bother either of us for a loooong time 10mos at the very least!!!!!

Pearl1980 Please do not cry anymore you made me cry when I read you post, you are such a wonderful person! It will happen for us, it absolutely HAS TOO we will be telling each other who's baby is the most precious in no time. My mom keeps telling me, everytime we give something to God, we take it back by continuing to worry over it instead of trusting he is going to give it too us. I told her I was not sure I had ever "gave" it to him, therefore I am not "taking it back" so I say to you and me and fairyzduzt, we have to believe it and know it, that it is GOING to happen and we will not have it any other way. I let all my anger, frustration, hurt and disbelief flow through me last night but you know what? We have to let that go, because it is negative energy and we cannot hold onto vibes like that. It is simply too counterproductive! Take care lots of hugs!!!!!!

CONGRATS TOO ALL THE BFP'S, YOU ARE OUR INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!

by Heather5, May 21, 2009 06:50PM
Beingstrong: Best of luck with your follow-up beta tomorrow!!!

Pearl: I agree with agini... concentrate in the IUI for now! You might just get your BFP this month and not even have to think about IVF! But in general, IVF goes over two cycles---although the first cycle is only to suppress the ovaries, and that can probably be done here before traveling anywhere. Got my fingers crossed for your upcoming IUI!

Silapooh: Thanks, I really appreciate your support and encouragement. Can't wait for your DET in June, and BFP two weeks after, so I can return the favor ;-)

Shellbell: I hope you're feeling a little better today? Any updates on your little embies?

Agini: I don't know if you saw, but I got my next appointment scheduled. It will be on Tuesday of next week, so I'll be 8 weeks, 6 days by then. I'm assuming I'll have another ultrasound, but I didn't actually ask about that. Did you ever contact your RE for another ultrasound? Or have you decided to wait?

bfromthed: Thanks, girl! You're so sweet! Best of luck with your appointment tomorrow!

BabyMamas: Ooooh, almost there...and one step closer to that BFP!!! Yay!

fairyzduzt: I know it's been tough few days for you, but I think you have an amazing attitude about everything and I know you'll eventually get rewarded with your very own BFP! Don't give up, OK?

Looking4ablessing- your husband sounds like a wonderful man, there by your side to help you thru all of this. I agree about people and their comments, but some people just don't understand all that we go thru. I'll be praying for you.
Heather- It has been a rough few days, but I have a great loving & supportive husband, wonderful family & friends( this includes all of you!) who have been great thru all of this. So now it is waiting to go back to the RE to see when we can go for round 2. I am hoping with my next cycle(AF showed up like clockwork today).
All- to all that have gotten their BFP I wish all of you a wonderful pregnancy you deserve it! To everyone who hasn't my grandmother always told me "That good things come to those who are patient and that God doesn't give us anything that we can't handle."

Hello,
I've been reading your posts every once in a while.  I was a member on another board (how many days after IUI would you get symptoms) but it seems like nobody posts there anymore. Anyhow, you all seem like a wonderful group of ladies that are so supportive to eachother.  Even though I don't post much, reading posts on these forums have helped so much on my journey of infertility. We began trying to conceive immediately after we got married (July, 2007).  We seeked treatment, had all the painful and crazy tests, but other than a small fibroid outside the uterus, nothing seemed to be wrong.  We had 5 failed IUI's and 1 fresh failed IVF (we retrieved 11 eggs and 6 fertilized naturally and all made it to 5 day blastocysts - transferred 2 and froze 4). Once I got over the pain after the failed IVF, we decided to investigate the fibroid further. Just before we decided to have it removed, we decided to do an unmedicated FET.  With God's grace and blessing, we just found out we are pregnant!!  We are still in complete shock and praying that we make it through our first trimester safely.  I think the FET was easier on my body without the meds and this time, I did acupuncture which I think REALLY helped.  I did a few sessions prior to the transfer, a session in the morning just before the transfer and again immediately after the transfer.  I also stayed on bedrest for 72 hours.  My question to all the new BFP's, do you have any type of cramping  I have mild cramping that comes and goes throughout the day.  I don't have any bleeding whatsoever.  Do you think this is normal?  I have never been pregnant, so I don't have anything to compare this to.  I am just soooooooo scared!!!!  Anyway, I pray for all of you to get your BFP soon because I know how difficult and emotional the road is.  Congratulations to all the BFP's and babydust to all of you!!  XO, Linda

Hello,
Thank you for your response.  You have been an amazing source support to so many ladies on these boards and I truly hope you are blessed again with a BFP soon!!  You seem like such an amazing women and you deserve nothing but happiness. It will happen for you, I'm sure.   I remember reading that the re was offering a free IVF to you.  Is that not the case anymore?
In terms of my beta, at 11 days after the transfer, it was 264 and then 48 hours later (13 days after the transfer), it was 927.  My doctor is very happy with the numbers and told me as long as I'm not doubling over in pain, things should be fine. BUT, of course, I am so worried and trying to stay as stress-free as possible.  However, being a teacher of pre-adolescents, most times, that is impossible!!!
Anyhow, best of luck with your treatment and keep us posted.  XO Linda

Hello everyone,

Long time...  Sorry I've been taking a break from the forum.  Just trying to keep my head clear and stress free.  I'm currently taking 100 mg clomid (5 cycle of clomid - 2nd of 100 mg).  I'm so ready for my positive.  I try not to think about it but it's hard taking meds everyday.  I'm not sure how many more cycles my dr will keep me on clomid.  Isn't there a limit to how many months you can take clomid?

I happy to see all them BFP!  Congratulations ladies.  I hope your little beaners get nice and cozy for a full 9 months.  God Bless.

hi everyone, i've been following this forum for the past few days but this is my first post. I had a FET on May 18 and now in the middle of the very nerve wracking 2WW :(  They put int 2 6 cell embies.
I had my first IVF in Feb this year but it was unsuccessful so we are trying a natural frozen cycle this time. I took clomid to ensure timely ovulation (since my cycle sometimes gets delayed), but no other medication other than that, not even progesterone after ET. Has anyone experienced this?
so its not 5dpt and im going crazy looking for symptoms. I haven't felt much other than slight twinges/cramps.
Its been so good to read all your experience and BFPs!
God bless!

Hi again.  First of all Congratulations to you.  I am excited for you.  I am sure you will do just fine.

Well, since my failed IVF in February, I have been laying low. Was depressed for a few weeks and boucned back up.  DH and I just went through another fresh cycle.  This time, I think we were on a better protocol as they were able to retrieve more eggs than the last time.  The last time they were only able to retrieve 8, 6 of which fertilized, and 5 were 8 cell, and 1 6 cell.  They transferred 5 and the result as you know was a chemical pregnancy.

This time, I had my retrieval on Friday and they retrieved 16.  Out of 16, 11 fertilized.  They are shooting for a Monday Transfer,  3 days.  I wanted it to go to Blast stage, but doc knows best.

I feel very positive and optimistic this time around.  Decided to let GOD take control of this situation and let him lead the way.  I will be taking your advice and eat a pineapple for 5 days.  I am doing the works this time.  We will know the quality of the embryos tomorrow and will update you.  I have been in touch with devistated via email and know how well you are doing.  It's great that you continue to be a support to all of us.

Toni:  Welcome to the forum.  This is a great place for you to be during your 2ww.  They will help you get through it.

TO ALL:  Good luck and lots of baby dust.

hey all,
I am so sorry that I have missed some of the events lately.  Work is really keeping me way too busy and I have decided to step down from a management role.  I have invested WAY too much in all of this and want to be sure that my outcome is positive.  So please forgive my absence

Beingstrong - Congrats on your BFP!  that is wonderful news and just remember to stay positive and believe only the best.  You will have a successful pregnancy without problems!  We just need to keep the faith!

Fairyzduzt/ Looking4ablessing- I was SO sorry to hear the news.  You two have amazing attitudes and are such strong women.  I know how hard it is to see that BFN, but you have to keep trying.  Don't give up!!I am so certain that you too will have a BFP in 2009.  My prayers are with you and I am so happy you have such supportive families!

Shellbell- Hope you are feeling better!  Promise that post transfer that you will be on bedrest for 2 days.  Let your husband pamper you and you just take it easy and let those little embies just nestle right in!!  Take care of you!  This is going to happen!  Positive thoughts only!!!!  I know that we want to be cautiously optimistic, but keeping only positive thoughts will work!  I am praying for ya!  fingers and toes crossed.

bfromthed-  Wishing you only the best.  Hang in there and make sure that if something doesn't seem right that you ask!  praying for your successes.  Not really sure how to answer your question because I was never successful with IUI...Come on lucky #7!!  sending you good juju!

Heather/agini- hope you are having a very uneventful first trimester.  Are you having morning sickness or anything??

Hope you all have a wonderful memorial day!
Hugs to all
Chris

Mommica- How are you doing??  I was thinking about you hoping you are alright!  Don't give up!!!

Thank you for your reply.  I was doing some research and my number does sound promising, however, with the cramps I am feeling , I am soooo nervous!! It took so long to get here, I pray things go well.  My first ultrasound isn't until June 8th.  This whole process, from the 2ww to waiting for doctors appointments, is a huge waiting game!!!!  I don't think I will be relieved until I have a baby (or two) in my arms!!!!

Best of luck again tomorrow.  Be sure to take it easy and get lots of rest.

Well, I was supposed to have m 3 day transfer today, but the doctor allowed us to go to Day 5.  The results were (7) 8-cell embryos, (3) 7-cell embryos, and (1) 6-cell embryos.  He asked me what I wanted to do, and since I did a 3 day on my last cycle, I opted for the 5 days this time.  He said that 50% of these will make it to blast and he will transfer 3 on Wednesday.  I am so excited.

bfromthed....Good luck tomorrow.  Lots of baby dust to you.

prayingforababy888:  Yeaaahhhhhh!  That is a very good number indeed.  I would bet on it that you have twins.  Keep us posted.

I like how you keep up with everyone's stat's.  It is good to see a lot of BFP on this forum.

I have been trying for so long to have a baby.  I just feel this time it will work.  I am leaving this cycle to GOD and letting him take control of my cycle, for I know only in his time will it happen.  Ever since I let go of my situation, I have been more at peace and positive about this whole cycle.

My last IVF cycle hurt me deep. It ended up in a chemical pregnancy.  I was too stressed the last time, but this time, I feel so calm.

CONGRATULATIONS to you too on your BFP.  How many times did you try IVF?  Me, this is my 4th try.  I had 2 about 15 years or so again, and I am once again trying through IVF as they sealed both of my tubes due to an ectopic pregnancy last year.

Good luck to you.

Thank you for your good wishes!  Good luck with your transfer!!  I hope everything works out for you.  I know how hard it is to go through IVF and I'm not sure how we get the strength to go through it, but we do, and that is what makes us all so strong.  You have a good attitude about leaving it in God's hands.  He will bless you soon!!
My doctor also told me that about 50% will make it to blast, but 100% made it, so do stay positive.  AND, it is good that your doctor will transfer 3.  My doctor wouldn't hear of it.  He only transferred 2 and said he has NEVER transferred more than that.  Anyway, best wishes and keep us posted!!!

prayingforbaby:  It is extremely difficult to go through IVF.  The ups and downs that go with it  But somewhere in there we find the inner strength to keep going forward to attain our hearts desire of having a baby,  You my dear, also have a very good attitude about it.  Doesn't feel great to have that BFP?!  I was ecstatic, only to be let down when they told me it was a chemical pregnancy.  Your numbers more than doubled and that is a good sign that the baby(s) is doing fine.

I am glad you told me that all your embies made it to blast.  I really felt optimistic coming out of my RE's office today that all 11 will make it to blast.  I guess because of my age, the doctor has agreed to put in 3.  That is the most they can transfer at day 5 in my age group.  I don't mind having twins...I will welcome it if that is what GOD wants and that is his plans for me.  At least we will have some to freeze for the next time.  I am glad to hear that FET does work.  They will say fresh cycle is best, but I guess it goes both ways.  Good luck to you.

bfromhed:  IVF is definitely expensive. The first one, I didn't flinch, we paid the $15K+ including meds to try this.  When it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy it crushed my heart.  I was devistated for days and I didn't know what I was going to do next.  You see, I had my tubes sealed due to ectopic pregnancies.  I also have a fibroid right now but the doctor says it's okay.

For a whole month I pondered on what to do next.  The only option for me was IVF again.  DH told me one night, just before my post-consult that we would endure the costs of IVF one more time and try again.  I relayed this to my doctor....and about a week before I was to start my pre-stim meds, got excited all over again.  Of course, this time, I am doing things differently....I am letting GOD take control of this whole IVF cyce,  I try not to think about the cost for it would drive me insane,,so I think baby.

Imagine, with that money I could be doing lots of things.  I believe my taking this route was meant to be as this time I was able to produce 16 eggs and 11 of them fertiized.  The last time they retrieved 8 and 6 fertilized.  Out of that 6 - 5 was 4 was 8 cell and 1 6 cell.  The 6th one never made it.  They transferred 5.

How long have you been TTC?  I hope that this time you get a BFP.  I love to see people with BFP on this site because it gives out hope to everyone else.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to you.

agini:  sorry to hear about your morning sickness.  It will be over soon.  You are about to enter your 2nd trimester correct?  Did you eat pineapples too after your transfer?

Have a great evening everyone.

All,

Thank to all of you for thinking of me. I had the transfer on Sunday everything went well, I also got mild OHSS swelling/bloating pain in my ovaries and burning with urination, i drank and drank lots and lots of gatorade....still doing it.

I am a little down because my Dr. said they couldnt grade the embies saying it was too soon and if the had wait one more day which was yesterday they could have grade them, anyways waiting for a call to hear how the reset of them are doing....

alot went on while I was away, will catch up with everyone later.

Heather, today is 2dpt and I feel nothing just pain from my ovaries which was there already and boobies hurt which was there from before with progesterone.

Hey there...

Don't start getting down.  I know that the news seems scary, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything.  You don't know that those 2 embryos won't make it.  Your uterus is a much better environment than the petre dish, so you need to keep believing that they are just fine!  You need to think only positive thoughts and don't get stressed out!  You need to relax and just be a princess.  Please be sure that you stay on bedrest and let your honey take care of you.  Big virtual hug to you!  I am sorry that you have none to freeze, but perhaps you don't need any because these are going to be just fine!  Positive thoughts and no stress.  Only good juju!!  Hang in there!!!
I'll be saying a little prayer for those babies!!

Shellbell: Don’t worry…my embies were early blasts too. One was 1BB, which is basically the very first stage of blastocyst (goes all the way up to 6), and the other one was too early to grade. Like you, I was a bit worried about them not having developed further by day 5, but it worked(!), so try not to worry about that. As for the other ones not making it to freezing, keep in mind that they chose the two best ones to transfer, so they will have a better chance than the other ones anyway. Plus, like sunshine said, they’ll have a better chance in your uterus than in the incubator, so stay positive! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust for a BFP!!!

Toni81: Welcome to the thread and best of luck this cycle! I think Agini also did a natural FET cycle. As for not being on progesterone, that does kinda make sense, since you ovulated on your own (even used clomid for a stronger ovulation), so your body will actually produce the hormones itself. But it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea having a progesterone blood test done, just to make sure the levels are where they should be. Oh and slight twinges/cramps could definitely be a good sign! When’s your blood test?

Looking4ablessing: I can’t believe I missed your last post! I am so happy that you and your DH have decided to give it another try! I will definitely keep you in my prayers! Hopefully, the two of you will be celebrating your very own BFP a little bit later this summer! Oh and thanks for all your kind words! You’re right…that was then and this is now. I’ll try my best not to worry so much ;-)

Silapooh: I think Agini and prayingforbaby both did acupuncture. Plus I’ve heard several others say it helped them get their BFP. Definitely worth looking into!

Pearl: Wow! You’re CD10 already! Best of luck on Thursday…and on Saturday, of course! Got my fingers crossed for you!

BabyMamas: Almost there! Can’t wait for you to start your new cycle…AND to hear about your BFP next month!!! SSBD!

Sunshine: How are you doing? I haven’t had any morning sickness at all. Only tender BBs that kinda comes and goes, a bloated tummy, and some food aversions (can’t even stand the thought of steamed broccoli anymore…and I used to love that!). But that’s about it. How about you?

Bfromthed: Sounds like you had super high count for your IUI again! I hope those 152 millions are busy meeting up with that little eggie! Best of luck this month and SSBD! (Oh, and yeah, the trigger can cause the OPKs to turn positive, since HCG is structurally very similar to LH).

Pebbles: Wow! What a difference in number of eggs this cycle compared to your last! Hopefully that’s a good sign of what’s to come! As for me, I was lucky enough to get pregnant on my first IVF cycle, but I’m still only 8w 6d, so I’m not out of the woods yet. Wishing you all the best for this IVF cycle. Hopefully we’ll be able to move you up to that BFP list in a couple of weeks or so! Best of luck tomorrow!!!

Prayingforbaby: Welcome to the thread and CONGRATULATIONS! I had lots of cramps too in the beginning, so that’s totally normal. As a matter of fact, that’s how I kinda knew it might have worked before I even had the blood test done!

Quinns momma: Good luck this 2WW! I hope to hear about your well-deserved BFP in a week or so!

Agini: Hi girl! It ended up being just a doctor’s visit today (plus a cystic fibrosis blood test and a urine test), but they set up an appointment with their sonographer for me tomorrow! The nurses there are so nice, the sonographer was actually fully booked, but they called and managed to sneak me in in between two different appointments! So now, I have to wait a whole other day before I know what’s going on in there! On top of that, I’ve barely had any symptoms today…so I just hope things are still looking good tomorrow! Oh, and I haven’t had any nausea at all…just some food aversions.

Lisa: Best of luck this cycle! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust!

Jessime: I hope the fifth clomid cycle will be the one for you! SSBD and keep us posted!

Fairyduzt: Sounds like you and your DH have a wonderful relationship, and I’m so excited about your new cycle coming up! Hopefully it’ll be the one for you!!! Keep us posted after your appointment, OK?

SSBD to everyone!

Tomorrow is the day.  I will finally transfer my little embies.  Thanks for your well wishes.  I am nervous and excited.  Can't wait to hear the news of how they progressed to day 5.  I once dreaded the 2ww but not no more  I have all of you to help me make it through.

Good Night everyone.

Hi all!

Im now 9dpt (FET) and so far I haven't had any symptoms other than some cramping and a weird pulling feeling near my belly button. My beta is on June 1, but Im thinking of doing a HPT a day before. That would be 13dpt so hopefully get an accurate result.
I just hope these cramps aren't a sign of AF like it was last cycle :(

Heather/Agini: Congratulations on your BFPs! Hope all your tests are going well! When is the u/s?

Pebbles: How did the transfer go?? Make sure to take a lot of rest afterwards.

SSBD and good luck everyone!

Silapooh:  Yes, I did two sessions of accupuncture the week of the treatment, then I did a session an hour before the transfer and again immediately after the transfer.  Not sure if it is the reason it worked, but it was my first time doing acupuncture and my first time ever having a BFP, so go figure!!!  I would highly recommend it.  What do you have to lose, right?  WIth all the money we spend with treatment, what is another $200 or so!!!!  The only thing I would recommend is making sure the therapist has knowledge about infertility. The lady I went to mostly works with infertility patients.  They place the needles in very specific places (ie. the ear, certain parts of the belly etc.)

Bfromthed:  You certainly have been through quite a lot and you deserve so much happiness.  I have you in my prayers every night.  It will happen again for you.  Be positive, it really helps, and leave it go God.  He will bless you soon!

Heather:  Thank you so much for welcoming me to the forum and including me in your updates.  You are very supportive and very friendly.  How is your pregnancy going?  My cramps are starting to become less frequent.  I am 5 weeks and 3 days.  I go for another beta tomorrow and see my RE on Wednesday.  My first ultrasound is June 8th.  I am sooooo nervous but VERY excited.  I don' t have any nausea yet.  How about you?  What are your symptoms now? Thanks again!!

Best wishes to all that are testing soon!

Just checking in. Today I am CD 13 getting ready for a RE visit on Friday and A mini vacation. I hope everyone is well. I will be back on Monday. Have a great weekend!

by shellbell75, May 27, 2009 10:21AM
Heather, thank you so much feeling much better today especially when I read what you wrote about the embies. My beta is June 2nd (Tuesday) which is right around the corner, this doesnt seem like a long wait to me, which is a good thing. Did you have any symptoms around this time? I have nothing which scares me.

Agini, thanks to you too I ate so many pineapple and core my mouth is sore :-).

Babymamas, a big thank you to you too, thinking about you, hope all is well and youre enjoying your break.

Pearl, thanks for the good wishes and good luck to you too.

Pebbles, good luck on your transfer, keep us posted how it all went.

Silapooh, I am also doing acupuncture, I started about a month and a 1/2 ago and I am doing it 2x week, my last one was before my transfer which was Saturday I was supposed to go back yesterday but wasnt feeling well so i skipped probably will do one on Friday. I really like it and it makes me relax. darn expensive $75 every visit but I hope its worth it, my BETA is on Tuesday.

-SSBD to all.

Hey everyone,
So I went to my first U/S at week 5 day 5 and they said that what they see now is that I am having twins.  I did not see the Attending, only the fellow and he seemed concerned that one of the sacs looked a little irregular in shape but growing.  It was too soon for heart beats, so I go back next week for that.  they said that it is SO early that it is hard to tell what it will look like.  I am so praying the irregular little fella is ok and going to hang in there.  Just started feeling a little nauseated last night and today.  Not too bad, but just a little yucky...but if those little guys can both hang on, I will take this any day.

Hope you all are doing well and just remember, whatever stages we are all at, we just have to keep being positive and hope for the best results.  I am certainly going to try myself!!
thanks for all of your support

Hello everyone.  Just an update.  I got home about an hour and a half ago.  They transferred 3 blasts.  One was grade 3AB and the others were 2 and too early to grade.  I am officially on my 2ww today.  I go and test on June 5.

I am going to rest for now.  Thanks everyone for your well wishes and good luck to all.

OMG! I'm so excited! I just got back from my ultrasound and everything is still looking good! I'm 9 weeks exactly today and the baby measured right in track at 23mm with a strong heartbeat of 179!

This is the furthest I've ever gotten in any of my pregnancies, so I'm so happy right now! Oh and I got to have my first abdominal ultrasound today! I've never had anything but transvaginal ones before! Funny how that can make me so excited :-)

Anyway, just wanted to update everyone!

:-)

by Heather5, May 27, 2009 02:57PM
Sunshine: Congrats on seeing two sacs! Hopefully by your next ultrasound, both babies will look good with a nice strong heartbeat!

Pebbles: I hope everything went well today and that you're now on your way to that BFP! Keep us posted when you have a chance, OK?

Sahiti: Welcome to the thread! Where are you in your cycle right now?

Shellbell: I didn't have any symptoms either that early...other than a super bloated tummy and sore BBs (due to all the IVF meds). I might have had a few not-even-sure-if-I-was-imagining-it twinges early on, but it wasn't until 7 day past transfer that I really felt one of those cramps that made me wonder if it could actually be a positive. Everyone's different, though...some won't have any symptoms until much later. Got my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you!

Mandy: Good luck on Friday and enjoy your mini vacation! :-)

Prayingforbaby: You know, my cramps started subsiding too around that time. And now, I don't have many cramps at all anymore...and when I do, they feel different than those early ones. As for nausea, I haven't had that either, but I have had a few food aversions. Other than that, I have a very bloated tummy (but not sure if that's because of the IVF still...I feel like I look five months pregnant already!) and sore BBs that kinda comes and goes (very sore some days, just a little tender other days). Best of luck tomorrow! Keep us posted when you get the results back!

bfromthed: I hope those little bubbly feelings continue to intensify ;-) SSBD!

Toni: I agree with Shellbell! The cramping and pulling could definitely be a good sign! That's what I had before I got my BFP! I actually just had my second ultrasound today, and things are still looking good at 9 weeks...which is a big relief to me since I've had two miscarriages in the past, but neither made it past 8.5 weeks. So, so far so good! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust!

Silapooh: Can't wait for your next cycle to start! Good luck with the acupuncture!

Shellbell - thanks honey for your support...you too may have twins in there... We have just gotta keep on keeping on being positive.

Peebles- Make sure that you do NOTHING for the next couple days.  You have to relax and be the princess.  Take it easy and do nothing but keep positive optimistic thoughts!

Silapooh - I think that accupuncture is a great idea.  I did not do it, but know so many that did.  I was so busy at work that I had no time...dumb!  This is all about you and your family.  Do whatever it takes for you to know you have done your all.  Relax and believe!  It will happen!  What day is the transfer???

Sahiti - welcome to the thread!  It is a place of such strong support and guidance.  Thanks so much for you sweet comments.  I am very excited and couldn't have done it without these ladies...

Heather - WOO HOO!!!  girl, you are just rocking it!   I am so excited that everything is going so well for you.  You really are an amazing person.  I have said it before, you are our groups rock. virtual hugs to you all

So Excited for you!  Great news!  Isn't it amazing how you can see from the outside? Regular ultrasound for those who want to know what I'm talking about.

So I'm on CD13 woohoo...  I'm excited to be trying again.  I pray that this month works.  I have some silly questions.  I know that hubby and I are BDing this week (CD 12-16 every other day) per OB's orders.  So question, if my DH soldiers get to my ovaries and fertilize the egg(s) what determines if the fertilized egg(s) will travel to the uterus and implant itself?  I just don't understand how that works???  I'm so confused.  I've always had questions but I've never really thought about this...  Any responses welcome.  Also, how do you feel about the whole prop your butt up in the air on pillows?  I've heard people talk about it before.  Is there a certain time frame I should lay there afterwards?

God Bless you all.  SSBD to everyone.

Hey homie! I am so happy....you definitely put a smile on my face. This little beany is gonna keep on rockin'....isn't he??!!! I am getting slightly bored over here....waiting to get AF and eager to start a new cycle. My partner and I were discussing taking Clomid, 25 mg, cycle days 3-9, instead of 3-7 or 5-9. We thought I should try and slowly stim and do so for a couple of days longer.... do u think it could help? hoping this will fatten my follies and help me fertilize them and stick...why not get a little creative on my last IUI??!!

Lots of good wishes. Grow baby boy grow!!!!!

Heather5 - congrats on your nine week ultrasound!!! I am so excited for you.  Yes, amazing how it's the little things that make us happy...

bfromthed - Wow, iui# 7 may just prove to be the one for you to be blessed with your little miracle!  I am so excited for you.  182 million spermies, WOW, unheard of...I really do wish you luck and will pray for you this month.  You so deserve this BFP.  Try and remain positive and take it easy :-)

Shellbell75 - Please remain positive.  I know that it may have been devastating to hear that the remaining embies did not survive the freezing process.  All happens for a reason.  That just means that the two you have in there are the best ones :-).  I am continually going to pray for you my dear...

ALL-Stay positive ladies!!!SSBD to you all.

Also after my iui this time I was placed on a tilt for 30 minutes...and when I read the iui sheet it say to try and bd in anatomical postion (on your back) and to relax with knees bent and feet flat on bed for at least 30 minutes? Who know's what the magic trick is...however good luck!
