pebbles/bfromthed- So sorry to hear your news, my prayers are with you.

shellbell- how are you feeling?

heather- 1st I would like to thank you for all of your encouraging words and for checking on me. how are you feeling?

Well, ladies I am back on the IVF band wagon, I will be starting Lupron on Monday and going to the RE more often this time.

by agini, Jun 08, 2009 12:22PM
mwhitcomb:   as heather said FET is more easier than fresh cycle,i did FET after my 1st ivf failed, I did FET natural means with out any medicines or injection RE only did few U/S's to track my ovulation once i ovulate they decide transfer date & did transfer thats all painfree cycle &iam 10weeks pregnent right now.so yes FET is more easier than Ffresh cycle.if ur AF is regular & if u ovulate everymonth by ur self then they will suggest u to do natural FET.which is good. GOODLUCK to u.

Heather :  hi heather last night i wrote a long message & unfortunately it didnt go through. iam doinh ok still having bad naushea but in the evening.& now once in a while vomitimg also.fron last 2 ,3 days iam having bad gas problem at night around 1am,that i couldnt even sleep i feel chest pain becasue of that from last 2 ,3 days i sleep by sitting from 1am to 4am becasue if i lay down i feel this chest pain.

Prayingforbaby: Congrats...what a relief is right! Wishing you a healthy and very enjoyable nine months!

ALL: IUI was this morning around 930am...everything went well. Count was approx 6.4 million. I took the day off to relax 2day, keep my feet up, and rest....I actually feel absolutely no cramping nor have noticed any spotting from the procedure. Normally, I get cramping and spotting due to irritation...but none of that. I am feeling well and will be keeping you all posted. Thanx for all the support, good wishes, and prayers....will be returning all the positive thoughts.....

sticky vibes and SSBD to all!

Wow, that's incredible.  Congrats!  Did they tell you it might be twins?  Certainly sounds high enough!!  I don't go again until Friday.

Had some cramping and light spotting yesterday, so I was pretty worried.  Seems to be better today.  I'm hoping I just overdid it with too much activity on Saturday and that it's not anything serious.

Hi, I've been reading your posts for months and I am not new to the forums, I used to post on two others BUT no action over there. I had an IUI this morning. I've had 6 IVF's before this IUI. 4 fresh, 2 frozen. I've had 2 bio-chemicals from them. I've had 9 IUI's (10 as of today) and I was pregnant once from them. (tubal) I also was pregnant on my own the month I first started to see my RE. (tubal)  I do not have any children and I am heartbroken. I had to stop IVF's due to my insurance only covering 4 retrievals per life-time. IUI's are unlimited. I am unexplained and 37 yrs. old. I've been doing this non stop since 06, I just can't seem to give up. After each failed attempt my heart breaks a little more, BUT I keep going back for more.

MGS, I was so rooting for you, your post touched me a lot, fearing a low first beta. (and it wasn't even that low) BUT I felt your pain when you were waiting for those beautiful numbers to triple...Congrats.

Heather, You my dear are the rock over here on this forum. You are so organized I don't know how you keep up with it all. Congrats on your pregnancy. You are a wonderful person to keep up with everyone after your BFP.

Babymomas--We had our IUI's at the same time this morning...How funny. We were 9:30 and I think we had about 110 million, isn't it amazing that millions of sperm get placed into you to meet your eggs....AMAZING.
What was your protocol. I did 350 Follistim and I had 9 follies. 5-7 of them ranged in the 20's. My Re wanted to cancel for fear of multiples (more then 2) and I begged him to be aggressive with me. He agreed; with my history and allowed the IUI to take place. He thinks I may have 4 or 5 releases...Oh I also triggered with Ovidrel and did 3 days of Ganerelix before I triggered. My beta is on June 22. How about you. Are you doing progesterone? I am doing inserts twice a day and also taking estrace twice a day.
2WW here we come!!!!!!!

To all BFP's CONGRATULATIONS, it must be an amazing feeling.

To all BFN's Sorry, don't give up.
Pebbles.....Where are you, I'm worried...drop me a line when you get a chance.

I've been trying all day to change my name...I don't like it, it feels negative.
Does anyone know how to change it...?

by MGS1969, Jun 08, 2009 03:24PM
To: Devistated
Sorry, I don't know how to change a name!

Thanks so much for your message.  I'm impressed your insurance covers so much of this, mine doesn't cover any of it.  Not a single IVF, IUI, not even the meds.

Definitely keep your spirits up.  You are still young enough to keep trying - you will get the good news eventually.  You just will.

Hang in there everyone!

Hi ladies,
Just checking in. I have been very busy this week which really took my mind off of TTC.  I hope everyone is doing well. Congratulaions to all the BFP's, I am so happy for all of you. I will check back in during the week.
As for me, I am still doing the waiting game as far as my new IVF cycle. I will update as soon as I get some good news.

Agini/heather5:  Thanks for the info.  I sure am praying for a BFP soon :~)  It's nice to hear that FET worked for you agini.  That definitely gives me hope. AND heather I sure hope to be on that BFP list too :~)

Babymama/devastated:  Glad to hear your IUI's went well..I am praying for the both of you too :~)  Sending out some POSITIVE VIBES for the both of you.

All:  Had my FET consultation today.  RE put me on BCP's beginning today.  Then when I get my period, I am to start ESTRADIOL , 2mg, 3x a day.  She said since they are going to control everything, she wants to also put me on injectible progesterone.  She didn't want to do this cycle since it will be a lot of monitoring on a natural cycle, plus she wants to make sure they are transferred at the right time.  I AM SO EXCITED (and scared, but who isn't, right?)  She said since the last time they transferred 3 and only 1 made it, she is willing to put in 4 since it's a FET.  I am praying my embies grow and all make it through the thawing process.  At this point we don't care how many we have, just that I have  a healthy nine months.  At this point she said that my FET will be mid July!!!!!  Seems long, but I know it will go by quick.

Good luck to everyone and SSBD by the truckloads to everyone!!!!

Shellbell: Congrats on those numbers! Come on twins! ;)

Mwhitcomb: Thanks so much. Sending you positive thoughts back and looking fwd to your FET. Try not to be too nervous. I know that your time will come soon and that you will be blessed with a healthy 9 mos. sticky vibes my friend!

Bfromthed:  Thanx for the good wishes. Glad to hear that you will be doing back to back IUI's. I am cheering for you so hard, girl....I know that GOD has a plan for all of us....and that you deserve this BFP enormously....SSBD dear!

Deviasted:  Hi there...and welcome to the thread. You will get a lot of support on this site. Everyone is great here. I am actually on only 25 mg of Clomid. I don't take anything else. This is my 6th IUI and if it doesn't do the trick...my partner and I are moving into IVF. I had a pregnancy on IUI # 3, but it was a chemical pregnancy. I lost it at about 2-3 weeks of conception. So...I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed cause my insurance does not cover IVF, and will have to come up with at least 12 grand very soon....My goal is to be pregnant by August 20th...my birthday! There just couldn't be a better gift this year. Again, glad you're here and that we are sharing the same cycle this month. Good luck to u! SSBD!

Heather5: How are you? How's the baby boy? Let us know when the next ultrasound is. hoping you're feeling tremendous and thanks again for all ur support and keeping the list for everyone. Your ability to give to others is wonderful. I can't wait for you to be a mommy!

ALL: Feeling well. IUI today went fine. No symptoms....slept a lot. I think my body felt like it finally had its relief after ending cycle meds and I am glad to be in the 2WW. Thanks to all for all the support and know that all of you are always in my prayers. Let's keep those BFP's coming! SSBD!

by mama1981, Jun 08, 2009 08:03PM
babymommas - Good luckn on your iui this cycle.  You are definitely in our prayers for a + outcome.

agini - I have heard the gas sometimes does this and is painful but I'd say if it persists, to go to your Dr to see what they can do, if any.  Not sleeping at night is not good for you my dear...Hang in there.

bfromthed - Sorry about the AF.  Hang in there. Glad to see you are back in the game.  Let us know what happens for this cycle.  any word yet from the Hospital on the IVF cycle?

Shellbell - Awesome #s!  I am so excited for you.  It seems like yesterday you mentioned starting IVF and you are already preggers..I could just cry as I am soooo happy for you...

Heather - How are you doing?

Devastated - You may have to create  new profile as you are unable to 'change' your name once created.  Please try and keep the faith as this WILL happen for you.  To be trying actively since 06 is a long time and your hard work and dedication will not go for not...Luke 1:37 For nothing is impossible for GOD.  Please just keep the faith.  All will work out my dear...

Sending lots of SSBD to you all ...

XO,
marline

Ahhhh, back on the east coast where I belong.  L.A. was interesting to say the least.... A wonderful experience kept with some of my very favorite people in the world and a wonderful way to pass the TWW, but I am sooooo happy to be home.  I was so happy to kiss my DH and snuggle all of our animals!  I am also very emotional; I started to cry at the thought of eating an ice cream sandwich. I know weird right?  Anyway, I am just loving this thread and have been reading it as much as possible.  You all are so supportive and wonderful.

Heather: Thanks for being so attentive and supportive.  I know you've heard it a million times on this thread, but you are awesome.  You make every woman on here feel important.  That is a really hard thing to do and you have been a blessing to each woman you touch through this outlet.  About me, It has not really been full flow.  Started spotting on Saturday, then yesterday it was heavier, and today it was back to spotting.  Since this is my first IVF I am very confused about when to expect AF if I have a BFN.  Well, I say BFN, but I will not do HPT so I will wait for beta.  I didn't tell DH about spotting until I got home today and he wants to stay positive until we hear otherwise and I agree.  My mantra is "I am pregnant."

mama1981and ALL:  You are so right mama! Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."  I feel so full with His love right at this moment and I pray to hold onto this feeling.  In Him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Devastated: I can't wait to see what your new name will be.  I do hope you come back to the thread.  I am sure you can offer a lot of support to other women that are going through this for the first time.  I can totally relate to the insurance stuff because I have lifetime 3 IUI's and 2 IVF's.  But I am starting to realize that those numbers should have no power over me and how I feel.  Worrying will not change the rules or the outcome of my IVF.  So, I am trying to be positive, positive, positive.  Always easier said than done, but I am making an effort.  BTW, can you share your experience with AF after IVF?

All the BFP's:  You guys are living proof!  Thanks for sharing your stories and congratulations.

by shellbell75, Jun 09, 2009 09:58AM

well today I am cd 23 and still no smiley face on my OPK's -- I really think I missed it - I had cramps and EWCM on 5/29 5/30 and 5/31 -- which is very abnormal for me as I always ovulate on cd 20 and af comes on cd 34.  So I did indeed ovulate on cd 14 that would put me at a 28 day cycle this month.  I think I am gonna call my gyn and get in with her this week and see if she can tell me anything other than I'm crazy - LOL

Cramping has settled down now.  I had a little spotting on Sunday, but the dr. said it was nothing to worry about.  I have my third beta this Friday and then my u/s on the 17th.

Wishing everyone good luck for upcoming tests or procedures.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while.  DH and I had a misscarriage on May 15.  I opted to have a D&C since I wasn't passing it on my own.  That was on the 22nd.  I just had my 2 week post check and cervix is closed.  My hcg is still 83 though.  Does anyone know how long it takes to come down???  And how long should it take to start my cycle??

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten BFP's!!!!  There have certainly been quite a few!!  I just can't wait to be back on the BFP list myself!!!

Hello,
I am going to change my name but I have to make a new account and I will let you all know it's me.

Jennifer, I am so sorry for your loss, I know when I had my misses It felt like it took forever to get back to zero. I can tell you that every one is different but my bio in Dec took a little over a month to drop from 25 to zero..So it could take a while for your numbers to drop. Are you getting your numbers checked once a week? It's hard enough to deal with a loss and now you wait for your numbers to drop to start all over again.
I'm sorry.

As for me, I feel very bloated today and last night I was in a lot of pain. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without crying. It is so much pressure and still there today, but I can deal with it today. I always feel like that after an IUI, It's just been so long that I forgot. I never felt like that with IVF's I wonder what the difference is....
Oh well, I'll be fine by tomorrow and GEEEEEEZ, I have 13 more days to go in this 2ww....

Babymomas--how do you feel today? Are you gonna HPT? I try not to do them, For me, I do not respond well to them, BUT they have so much power over a girl in her 2WW....lol

Mama1981: Thanx so much...I appreciate you so much. Sending you some special BD and sticky vibes on Mandy's snowblower that works all year long!!

Shellbell: Girl!!! I wish. I hope we can produce a baby this month, so I don't have to go the IVF route. Can't wait to hear about your twins....hope you get one of each (boy and girl)

Deviasted: I am feeling well, except for extremely sore boobs....how are you feeling over there? as per HPT, not sure....I also hate to do them. I may just wait for AF, since I will just schedule appt with Re after that to start the pill and do IVF sometime in August...SSBD!

by mama1981, Jun 09, 2009 09:48PM
Jennifer-I may  have mentionedit before but I am very sorry for your loss.  Can't really answer how long it takes for hcg to be out of your system.  I wanted to chime in and let you know you are in my prayers and we here on the forum are here to help you in any way we can...Pleae hang in there and you'll get another BFP before you know it.

smahoney9 - Having and keeping the faith is the only thing that'll keep us going.  It is also what allows us to be an inspiration to each other.  Welcome back to the east coast my dear... :-)

Babymommas - Thank you for those vibes.  I will definately take in mandy's snowblower anytime, lol...Continue to take it easy and stay positive... :-)

Heather - Thank u again for all you do my dear!!!Hope you are doing ok.

Congrats girlie!!!!!!  I am living the dream too!  I told myself I wouldn't do an HPT but I had a message on my voice mail this morning from my nurse and she is always so negative.  She said that since I'm spotting I need to come in tomorrow just to confirm a negative.  Isn't she a downer!  So I had one digital under the sink and it says "pregnant" right on there.  Like I said my beta is tomorrow.  Is there any chance this could be a false positive?  I personally am very optimistic because this is the very first BFP I have ever had EVER!!!!  It is absolutely the best thing to see that!

Mandy & Smahoney: OMG!!! I am so happy for you guys! That is AWESOME news! Congrats, congrats, congrats! Wishing you both a happy, healthy nine months ;-)

**********

Thanks again to all of you for all your kind words! They totally make me blush sometimes...but I really do appreciate it! I actually had a little bit of a scare this morning when I went to the bathroom and found blood in the toilet bowl after! Totally freaked me out...but I soon found out it was coming from the rear and not the front (sorry if TMI). So I'm hoping it's just from the constipation I've had for the past few weeks. I called my nurse and she agreed and suggested a stool softener and increasing my water intake. So I'll try that. I have my next appointment on Friday, so if it continues, I can always bring it back up then.

Hope everyone else is doing OK! I'll be reading through the rest of the posts and update the list a little later today!

SSBD to everyone and congrats again to our new BFPs!

by shellbell75, Jun 10, 2009 12:11PM

Heather,

Phew!!! glad to hear its from the back and not from you know where! I get that alot too we need to drink more water..how are you? are you showing yet? take care and good luck with ur next appt.

mommyoftwo ;  CONGRATULATIONS dear.wow thats a great news.i know it gonns be very tough till u get ur beta report but hey goodnews is it came positive.have a nice & healthy 9months.

Samhoney :   iam so sorry about ur rude nurse,i know some people doesnt understand the feelings we r going through.but let me Congratulate u,the BFP u got in degital one wont be false positive, becasue to show postive on didgital one ur HCG level should be high because the digital HPT's always need high level HCG atleast 50 that means u r pregnent my dear no doubt about it.so dont worry about that witch nurse just be happy becasue iam sure ur beta level is good enough.& the spoting u had is normal that is becasue of implantation. tell that nurse once u will have ur beta report ,that dont say negative things untill unless the report shows.takecare, have a healthy 9 months.

Pearl:  i think u did HPT early. so dont worry u should do 1 day b4 ur B/W.which HPT u used???? the best HPT is first response early pregnency test, becasue that need very less HCG.but u should atleast wait 14 dpo.so dont worry.u checked early.goodluck & lots of sticky vibes on ur way.

Shellbell :  what ever u r feeling & not feeling is so normal.my symtoms started after 8 weeks so dont worry just enjoy ur pregnency.but make sure no lifting,no bending etc etc.takecare.

Mama:  thanks 4 ur concern, i mailed my dr about my gas problem & he said i can have any overthecounter medicine except one.he said i might having dairy products thats y, & i dont eat or drink any dairy product, iam not satisfied with my gync dr  but i dont have choice.

Bfromthed :;  goodluck dear with ur IVF.

Heather :  sorry about the scary confussion,i had that problem too,but i knew it is from back becasue i felt pain too.u have to drink lots of water.& try to drink water as soon as u wakeup b4 even u brush that helps.

DEVISTATED : how r u doing???lots of baby dust on ur way.

Pearl ;  look as shellbell said she did her test 7dpt, that means 7 days after embroyo transfer. & she did day 5transfer. so add 5day embroyo+7dpt =12day. so dont worry.just relax.

Congrats to the new BFP's, that's fantastic!!!! Keep the good news coming!

Shellbell - I am not feeling any symptoms at all - the cramping went away for me as well. I don't even really have a sore chest, maybe a little, but nothing like what they say you will feel.

I'm so excited by all the good news on here!

by agini, Jun 10, 2009 03:09PM
Pearl : see pearl what i told u???now u have some one who tested on day 11 & it was BFN.& if ur nipp---is hurting thats a very good sign.goodluck.

I love this thread!

Pearl: Lets pray together! I am also 11dpiui and will be testing on Friday. Dont give up hope.

Shellbell: My cousin who just gave birth to her first child had no symptoms at all except her growing tummy! She had a really good pregnancy without the icky symptoms. So enjoy your 9 months, I wish you well.

Ree- Congrats on your BFP! third is definitely a charm, but lets keep it coming! I wish you a healthy 9 months.

all: I cant thank you guys enough for the stories that you share on this thread. I have learned so much from you guys, more than my REs office! And I really love the support, since being on this site, it have had more happy days than sad days. Thank you guys! by smahoney9, Jun 10, 2009 10:24PM
Did another hpt this afternoon, not a digi this time, and had a faint second line :)  Also kinda picked a fight with DH and BAWLED my eyes out.  so I am sooooo looking forward to my beta tomorrow.  Have a good night ladies!

by mama1981, Jun 10, 2009 11:00PM
mommyoftwo - CONGRATS to you girl!!!!!!!I am so excited for you.  This is indeed your month.  Please keep us posted on your progress and yes get down to the Dr to get your blood done for confirmation :-)  Of which we already know IT'S THERE BABY!!!!!  Happy and healthy nine months to you!

smahoney - It's not over til it;s over.  Myst be very excited to see the first ever 'pregnant' on a HPT.  Keep us posted.  We are praying for you.  Crying earlier means hormone changes/mood swings so that sounds like a good sign as well, lol

bfromthed - 5 left over follies...You are right, it is alwwyas something.  But you  know what, all happens for a reason.  You are a very determined person and I know you put your heart and soul on the ttc journey.  God sees and has a plan for you.  It may be that you need this month off.  $7000 is not bad at all, actually great, news about the IVF.  Things will definately work themselves out for the best for you and your DH my dear...

Heather - Sorry about the scare but glad it was not what we don't hope for.  Yes staying well hydrated is the key.  One thing all my pregnant friends always say is that their Dr's always send them home with stool softeners and a Rx to drink LOTS of water.  I am on an 80oz intake of water daily, not even pregnant, and it helps me go regularly without all the DRAMA, lol   good luck with your next appt :-)

xo,
marline

Devistated: Welcome to the thread! And best of luck to you this month! It sure sounds like you have a pretty good chance with 5-7 mature follicles and 110 (!) million sperm! I’ll be crossing my fingers that one (or maybe two?) of the little eggies fertilize and implant! SSBD!

Kristine: Welcome to you, too! Cycle day 24 is probably a bit early for a HPT (home pregnancy test), but it all depends on when you ovulated. Do you happen to know when that happened? Most women tend to ovulate within 10 days of their last clomid pill. Wishing you lots of luck this cycle!

Ree: Congratulations!!! That’s such great news! I guess I’ll be adding you straight to the BFP list! That’s awesome! When will you be going in for your blood test?

Turtle: Another newcomer :-) Welcome! I noticed on your profile that you’re 13 dpo, so I went ahead and added you to the list! SSBD!

Jennifer: I am so sorry about your miscarriage. I’ve had two myself, so I know how heartbreaking it can be. I only had a D&C after my first one (the second was a spontaneous miscarriage), and my period came a little after a month after the procedure. I’m not sure how long it will take for the last 83 to go down, but I do know that once your levels are back down below 5, you’ll normally ovulate within the next few days and then get your next period about two weeks after that. Hopefully it will go fast, so you can move on and get ready for your next BFP! Did your doctor say when it was OK to try again?

Prayingforbaby: Congratulations on seeing a heartbeat! That’s such an amazing feeling! I am so happy for you!

Shellbell / MGS:
My cramping didn’t really last that long either. And my BBs are not nearly as tender as they were in the beginning. The only thing that seems to be constant is my super bloated tummy (although it’s not too bad in the morning...it usually gets gradually worse as the day goes on). And I’m with you, shellbell, sometimes, I don’t feel pregnant at all.

Agini: Oh man, I’m sorry to hear about your sleepless nights. When you say chest pain, do you mean heartburn or actual pain in your chest? Either way, I hope it goes away soon so you can get a full night’s rest! Oh and thanks to both you and Shellbell for putting my mind at ease when it comes to the bleeding “back there.” I’ve been drinking a lot of water and eating high-fiber foods today, so hopefully that will help (oh and I also picked up a stool softenere, but haven’t taken one yet).

Fairyzduzt:  Yay! I’m so excited you’re about to start a new cycle! Hopefully this will be the one for you! Keep us posted!

Kdm / Pearl:
Best of luck to you both on Friday! Hopefully we’ll have two new names to add to the BFP list!!!  (oh, and Pearl, 11 dpo is too early for most women, so don’t even worry about that)

Bfromthed: Oh man! I’m so sorry you’re having to sit out this month. I hope those pesky cysts go away soon, so you can get back to TTC. By the way, I know what you mean about $7,000 being a lot of money, even though it’s a discounted price. It’s just hard nowadays with the economy being so unstable and more and more people losing their jobs. I hope things work out for your DH soon! By the way, whatever happened to the possible free IVF?

Mandy: Congratulations again! I’m just so happy for you! That snowblower of yours really has been working overtime over the past few weeks!!! Keep us posted when get your blood test results, OK?

Smahoney: You’ll have to keep us posted after your blood work tomorrow, too! You’ll certainly show that grumpy nurse of yours, huh?

Silapooh: Yay! That’s such great news! I’m so excited you’re ready to start your next cycle!  I have a feeling this will be the one for you!!!

Quinns momma: Holy moly! 7 days to get the results? That’s a long time. Well I’m glad they got you on prometrium then…just to make sure. How is that going? I take 200 mg twice a day and it makes me pretty dizzy  (although not every time). I can only imagine how bad it would be on 400 mg!

BabyMamas: Yay! Back in the 2WW! Hopefully all that extra rest after the IUI will do the trick for you! Sending you lots and lots of baby dust!!! Oh, and I have my next appointment on Friday…so I’ll update after that :-)

Mwhitcomb: I’m so excited for you on your upcoming FET! And, you’re right…the time will go a lot faster than you think!  July is only a month away! Can’t wait to hear your good news in a few weeks ;-)

Marline: Thanks! Yeah, I’ve definitely been drinking a lot more water today. And I went and picked up a stool softener, too, so hopefully that will take care of the “issue”. Hope you’re doing well!

Kramik: Let us know what your doctor says. I’m kinda curious :-)

Thanks to all of you, its been such a hard road for us and it seems like its getting better. I am not too worried they told me at the office yesterday that if my # was high enough that they would only do one beta and a scan a week from monday and then another one two weeks later to make sure everything is ok. But they think it is so I am not too worried. I have been having symptoms for the last two days of tender bbs, nausea, heartburn, and those dreaded twinges and cramps. I think I am just still in shock.

smahoney9: I used a Clear Blue Easy Digital at 10 DPO I got a BFN and at 12 DPO I got my postive what is your EDD?? Congrats

shellbelle: thats totally normal I was like that with tan my symptoms didnt show up until 12 weeks but with ky it was a total opposite story much like this one is starting out.

Heather girl I know what you mean, that was probably pretty scary. But hey that will help bunches how are you feeling now?

All: I will try to catch back up tonight! We are going to get kys dress today for the wedding next month, man what a week so far its been amazing I am still in shock!!
Thanks to all of you for all of the support!

I can't wait to hear everyone's updates this week, sounds like several of us have tests tomorrow.

Heather - you are a God send, thanks for the list. It's great to see where everyone is.

Still no symptoms for me either,  I really don't feel pregnant.  Sounds like that might be normal,  I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed!!

Hi Heather:

As always you have been such a great support on this thread.  I guess you missed my BFN above so you can remove me from the list.  I have emailed my OB-GYN asking him to schedule me for surgery before I have my frosties transferred.  I want to make sure that it is not the fibroid that is keeping me from my BFP.

thanks.

by Heather5, Jun 11, 2009 09:22AM
pebbles: I'm so sorry I forgot to update your info on the list...and again, that just stinks about you previous cycle. But hopefully after the surgery, your perfect little frosties will not only implant, but get nice and comfortable for the following nine months!

MGS: Yeah...I guess not feeling pregnant is pretty normal :-) Less than a week till your ultrasound now! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Ree: Oh, how exciting! I'll add your EDD to the list!

Smahoney: Did you look up your due date yet? If so, let me know and I'll add that to the list, too  :-)

Mandy: Wow, the wedding is just a month away now? I bet Ky will look so beautiful in her little dress! Sounds like you got lots of symptoms already, so I'm sure that's a good sign!

mypleatogod / wannahaveababy: Any updates?

Bfromthed, did I miss your post, oh man sorry you got AF and with horrible cyst....right before I started IVF I had got 2 big cyst and had to wait it out to start IVF but you know what its a good thing to stay free of meds and have a cycle to just get your body back to normal and prepare for ivf......i wish you all the best and thats actually not a bad price, I know you will bet you long awaited BFP. sending a big hug to you!

Heather, thank you sooo much you are the sweetest....I have to tell you I have the same issue with the bloatedness in the morning its gone but by the day progress i look 4 months pregnant, its funny none of my jeans are fitting me bec I wear all the tight hip jeans and people are starting to ask me are you pregnant and I say no bec I am scared i want to wait until after 3 months atleast....take care and drink lots and lots of water....it happen to me lots of times especially when i strain to go...I dont get it often now bec i drink milk too so that helps to go easier.

I am so thankful for all of you guys. My beta results from yesterday where 13.1 so I am really worried they want me to come in for another one tomorrow. They said anything above a 5 was positive. I took another digital tonight just to make sure and it was positive too. So I am not trying to freak out. My progesterone was 24.4 they did say that was good. Please let me know if that # is ok, I  know its low but I am freaking out. Sorry it took me so long I have been all upset and trying to hold it in. please say a prayer for me tonight I will let you know in the afternoon what it is.

by smahoney9, Jun 11, 2009 10:08PM
Update: I got my #1 beta results today and they came back POSITIVE!!!!!!!  The number was 97.1 and I am 11dpt.  I have no idea what that means except that the nurse said its good.  What are beta numbers supposed to be?  My progesterone came back 6.7 so they are over nighting my the injectable progesterone in oil.  Any suggestions for doing IM injections?  My only real symptom is this warm tingly feeling all over my body every time I think about how awesome this is!!!!!!!!!!  I am wishing SSSSSSBD to all the ladies TTC!

KDM805, Silapooh, turtle and everyone else sending babydust blessings: Thanks for your prayers! They totally worked.

mama1981: You were so right, must have been the hormones.  Now at least I know what's making me crazy :) LOL I'm not sure if that makes it ok?

mommyoftwo: I got my BFP on the Clear Blue Easy digital yesterday which was 10dpt, which makes it 13dpo.  I am praying for good b/w numbers for you tomorrow.  Sending love and SSBD your way.

Heather:  Even my grumpy nurse sounded like she was in good spirits when she called to give me my results.  It must be hard giving the bad news and that is probably why she tends to stay in the negative frame of mind until it is a real positive.  But her tune about my spotting totally changed when she saw my beta.  She said the spotting is totally normal and not to worry unless I am soaking more than 1 pad an hour.  Spotting was minimal today.  I am so grateful for this thread because all of the feedback totally helped me to stay positive while I was spotting.  I am 11dpt today and I think my EDD is 2/17/09.

Hi everyone I've been out for awhile.I've been working and off work I'm so tired.I would like to update you about my 3rd beta which was yesterday.the result was 13.340.My nurse told me that my EDD will be 2/9/10.I don't know why though coz if it is base on my LMP it should be 2/11/10.Maybe they base it 2 weeks before my ER?My ultrasound will be on the 22nd.

mommyoftwo - I think the most important thing is that the number doubles or triples within two days.  My first number was also relatively low, 65.4, but my second one went way up to 307.  They had me go back in today for a third (a week later), but I don't have the results yet.  Even though it's low, I've heard lots of stories about women that had super low first numbers, but the pregnancy still remained viable.

Pearl - I did IVF as well.  I was on bc for a couple of weeks.  I started my stimulation drugs on May 8th.  They did the retrieval on May 19th (it can vary, it depends on how your follicles are growing) and for me they did a 5-day transfer on May 24th (they also do 3-day transfers some time).  My first blood test after that was June 2nd.  I would definitely suggest that you stay on bed rest 2-3 days, not just the 1 day they recommend.

June - My doctor hasn't given me and EDD yet, but I just had my 3rd beta today, so maybe they will tell me today.  For now I've been calculating it by the 1st day of my LMP.

smahoney - Congrats! That's great news.  I'm so glad the nurse was wrong.  I had some spotting last weekend and the nurse said not to worry about it.

mypleatogod - So sorry to hear about the death in your family.  My thoughts are with you.

Good luck everyone waiting for news, TTC or moving on to the next step, and keep us updated.

by kramik107, Jun 12, 2009 09:48AM
Ok so I am cd 26 today - even though I haven't temped in months I decided to start temping yesterday just out of curiosity and yesterdays temp was 98.4 and today 98.56 - if I did ovulate earlier than expected AF should be here by Monday the latest.  My gyn called me on Wednesday and said its too late to test to see if ovulation occured and too soon to test for Pregnancy so to wait the weekend out and see what happens if nothing by Wednesday to call her back.  Every month I am a 34 day cycle and o occurs on cd 20 - so who knows what is going on

Second Beta results are 44 (I had them done at the lab where my mom works) the dr hasn't called yet, they were just wanting the to be like 24 since they were done 44 hours apart. They almost quadrupled so I am happy I will probably have one more done next week.

Shellbelle tylenol only if you can find it then if not only 1 extra strength one. Thats what they told me with both kids. I hope you get better soon!

That's fantastic!  What a relief!  My first number was lower two, but it has been skyrocketing since then.  Hope yours does the same.

by Heather5, Jun 12, 2009 03:14PM
OMG, you guys! I just got back from my appointment and everything's still looking good! The baby actually had the hick-ups when they did the ultrasound!!! How crazy is that! The heartbeat was 143 when doing the ultrasound and 160 when the nurse used the doppler a little later. So I guess he or she must have been a bit more active by then :-)

The sonographer also did the NT scan and the fluid behind the baby's neck was only 1 mm., which is good, and there was a visible nasal bone, which is also good. So based on the sonogram alone, it looks like the chance of downs is pretty low...but I have to wait for the blood test before I get actual ratio.

I'm just so happy right now!

:-)

All IVF'ers: They usually figure out the due date by going back 14 days from retrieval and make that the "first day of your last menstrual period" (even though in most cases it wasn’t). Then based on whatever date that is, they find your EDD :-)

cwolf: So good to hear from you! And how exciting that you’re about to start a new cycle! I’ll definitely add you to the list! Sending you lots of SSBD for your upcoming FET!

Mandy: Yay! That’s awesome about your number nearly quadrupling! You know, you had your first beta done so early, so I’m not surprised they were a bit low at first. The numbers have to start somewhere, right? My first blood test was not until 10 days past transfer, which would be the same as 15 dpo. Oh and your progesterone is great…so sounds like you’re off to a good start!

Smahoney: That’s wonderful news! 97 is definitely a good number! Glad to hear your formerly grumpy nurse was in better spirits when delivering some happy news ;-) As for the progesterone number, yeah that is a bit low, but what type of progesterone are you on now? I know sometimes when using the vaginal ones, it delivers the hormones directly to the uterus, and the levels aren’t always reflected in the blood stream (as opposed to shots). So you might still have enough down there where it counts. I never used the shots either, and I think that’s part of the reason why my RE never checked my progesterone levels (so it wouldn’t scare me if it looked like it was low). But either way, I guess it’s worth using the shots…just to make sure ;-)

June: Wow! That’s a super high number! Congrats! And yeah, they usually just go back 14 days from the retrieval date to find the LMP for us IVF’ers, since the actual LMP is not always as accurate with all the suppression and stims and such. Can’t wait to hear how your ultrasound goes on the 22nd!!!

Pearl: Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear about your temperature drop and cramps. I really hope AF doesn’t show up! HUGS!

Silapooh: Thank you ;-) Hopefully you’re next!

Kdm: I’m so sorry about the BFN! That just stinks! Don’t give up, though…you will get your BFP!

Kramik: Ooooh, I hope nothing happens before Wednesday! Got my fingers crossed!

MGS: 7,000! Wow! I’m impressed ;-) I’m actually 11 weeks, 2 days today…and counting the days till I get to the second trimester! Although, I always thought it started after the first 12 weeks, but lately I’ve been reading online that it doesn’t start until the 13th or even 14th week (depending on the site)....and I though I was almost there! Sigh!

Shellbell: I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I’ve also heard that Tylenol is safe. And if you have a fever, it’s probably better that you take one than not, since it also is a fever reducer. Did you call your doctor to see what they say?

Sahiti: I’m sorry you had to cancel your IUI this month. Do you think you may have missed your surge?

Kristine: Yeah, sometimes it’s hard to know unless you’re being monitored or chart you temperatures. But if you did ovulate on June 3, then it’s definitely too early to test…so don’t give up yet. You still have a chance this month!

Mypleatogod: Wishing you all the best for your upcoming IVF cycle! Let us know if you have any questions, as there are quite a few of us here now that have been through IVF. Also, I’m so sorry to hear about the death in your family…

Quinns momma: Sorry to hear you’re feeling so nauseous. But you’re right, it’s definitely worth it. Hopefully it will get better as your pregnancy progresses!

Bfromthed: I hope the b/c pills will take care of those pesky cysts quickly, so you get to start up again. It’s always frustrating when you’re “forced” to take a month off like that. As for your question about follistim and gonal-f, yeah, they’re basically the same thing. They’re both FSH-only drugs…and so is bravelle…while menopur, repronex and pergonal has a combination of both FSH and LH. Hope that helps.

Agini: Thank you so much! Can’t wait to hear how yours go next week! SSBD!

Heather5: I am so excited for you. I am really glad that boy keeps on growing and getting stronger everyday. Can't wait to confirm gender. This is gonna be very exciting and I certainly hope you are enjoying every bit of it. When's your due date? sticky vibes and a very enjoyable nine months!

ALL: I am 5dpo and having no major symptoms. AF is not due until 6/23. So, still have a little ways to go. I'm hoping some of these symptoms will pick up....so, we'll see. I do feel extra tired and sleeping better at night. Trying my best to think positive this cycle.

SSBD and sticky vibes to all you homies! lol

Thank you so much! Yeah, I'm pretty excited. The sonographer actually showed me the sex organ yesterday, and although it looks exactly the same for both girls and boys at this point (two lines), she said for boys it's usually angeled a little up, while girls look more horizontal...but she couldn't really tell on mine yet :-) My due date is December 30!

5 dpo is too early for any major symptoms, so don't worry about that! Although being tired could be a good sign, indicating that your hormone levels are nice and high this month! So keep those positive thoughts coming! Sending you a BIG truckload of baby dust!

Heather:  How exciting!  I can't believe that you are already 11 weeks.  And you are due one day after my birthday!!!

cwolfee:  What medications are they going to use to prepare you for FET???  My re put me on estraidol/progesterone injectibles.

All:  As for me just finishing 1st week of birth control.  2 more to go.  AHHHHHH....Can't wait to finish bcp so I can get started.  I was prescribed Estraidol (off brand for Estrace) pills.  I am supposed to take 3x a day 2mg pills.  I will begin taking that day one of my period.  How long would I have to do that for?  or does that just depend on my sonoultrasound and how my uterus is developing?

I am so happy for all those bfp's and great looking beanies!!!!!  Those of us who are on the roll, we will be joining that list soon  :~)  YAY!!!

Thanks all! I talked to the nurse today and they are going to do a third beta Tuesday so we will know everything is ok. Shew I have been sick with nausea and smells and today while grocery shopping I had a dizzy spell so I finished up and came home and went to sleep for about 2.5 hours I feel still sleepy. Its so early and I am allready sick! I am still in shock. I haven't told that many people and am not until I hear the heartbeat and know everything is ok. I just don't know when I will tell the kids, what do you all think?

Heather that is awesome, I know it was so funny to feel the little ones or watch them on the ultrasound when they had hickups. I have decided I am going to enjoy this one the most since I know for 100% that this is my last one. Yeah with my # doing that and us not expecting a full double I am a little worried about twins since they run in my family allready. I think my first scan will be a week from monday or tuesday.

Snowblowers sending bunches of SSBD to you all who are still ttc

Quick update: 2nd beta today was 235, 1st one was 97 on Thursday.  3rd beta on Monday.  Prog still a little low, RE didn't give a number when he left the message.  So the b/w on Monday is really more to check prog.  First scan 10 days from Monday.  I am sooooooooo happy and excited for that scan.

Hello Ladies

I am 6 days post IUI and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was safe to have sex. I know you can't have it after IVF until the blood test BUT I'm trying to remember if the "rules" are different for IUI. I read up on it and I got mixed reviews......

babymomas- How are you feeling? Any signs or symptoms? Do you test on the 22nd?
I have another whole entire week..This is when I start to get antsy and I have a whole huge week ahead of me.....I am feeling kind of full not quite bloated but a full feeling and Yesterday I had major twinges and it felt like my belly button was being pulled on from the inside. Today some twinges here and there but they only last for seconds...and My boobs hurt in the morning when I get up...( I know that is from the progesterone)
Hope you are feeling well.

Sorry to all who got AF or tested negative...It is truly heartbreaking.

Good luck to those who are in the 2WW...

agini--I did the pineapple core for 5 days starting day after my IUI....My opinion; it wasn't that bad......Hope you are feeling well.

To: DEVISTATED
BDing after IUI is safe. My RE always tells us to bd the same night of IUI and the day after while the "window of opportunity" is open. And then thereafter she says we can do the deed anytime. The only time they say not to bd is 3-4 days before IUI. Hope this helps, good luck!

Well AF is showing up today, but still light. Ill be calling for baseline u/s tomorrow, and start another cycle of injectables and IUI. Wish me luck!

Hello to all I am new to the thread. It is nice to meet all of you. I did my first iui on May 31, 2009. Today i am 14dpiui and I am scared to take a hpt. I toke on yesterday and it was negative. I read from a lot  ladies that it toke a long time for them to show up on hpt and some showed up early.. So i till have hope... Tomorrow i will go for my beta test. I am prayer that it have something good to say.   PLEASE!!!!!!

this 2ww was so WOW. I started having symptoms on 8-9 dpiui. these was cramps. they was hard and very uncomfortable.
10-12dpiui i was having heartburn, a feeling of being hot, pulling sensation in my lower stomach, camping in my legs, backpain, gas( tmi), and a lot of bathroom runs about every 1-1.5 hours, and nausea.
Now at 14dpiui i still feel nauesa at different parts of the day, i get backache when I am laying down, i am tried and wanna sleep bathroom run about every 1-1/2 hour, I continue to get this pulling sensation in my lwer belly but it not as intense as they were.

Reading this thread have giving me hope and freedom to dream high. I pray this time worked because that 2ww is a killer.

When we had the iui done it was 50million sprem observed. and I had two mature follices and two smaller follices... so my fingers are crossed.

please pray for me.. as I have been praying for all of us in sillence.

for those who have gotten it and remained, so shall it remain till ur due date. amen

Ree077 - I was so sad when I read your post.  Please know my thoughts are with you.

Kramik - ugh, sorry the timing was off this month.  Fingers crossed for next month!

Heather - I guess maybe my EDD would be two days earlier, so 2/9/10, if they go by 14 days before the retrieval.

My u/s is Wednesday, so hopefully it goes well and I will know more then.

I started the BCP last week, I will be on this until the 06/29, however I will start Lupron on 06/26 and have my baseline U/S on 07/01 at that time they will advise when to start the Vivelle (estrogen patch) and then I will start the Crinone, (this is new, all other times I did the PIO shot) I believe the Crinone is started about 5 days before transfer but I can't remember. I will be on both those until after the BFP is confirmed! I am excited but nervous/anxious, how are you doing?

Heather5-thank you for the welcome and adding me back to the list! Congrats on your progress, sounds like your moving right along :)

by Heather5, Jun 15, 2009 12:58PM
Rene (Ree): I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. My heart truly goes out to you and your DH. I’ve had two miscarriages myself, so I know how painful it is. Take good care of yourself and please know that we’re all here for you…. HUGS!

Kramik / Pearl:
Gosh darn’it! Stupid, stupid, stupid AF! I’m so sorry you guys! She is such an unwelcome guest, yet she keeps showing up uninvited. I’ll have to have a good long talk with her and get her to leave you two alone…for at least nine months or so! Pearl, will you be trying naturally while waiting to start IVF?

Poeticnicky: Welcome to the thread and best of luck this month! Some women have to wait until their periods are late before getting a positive, home pregnancy test, so yeah, you might have just tested too early. Keep us posted after you get your beta results! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Mwhitcomb: Oh how cool that I’m due the day after your birthday! You never know, he or she might just show up a day early ;-) As for your question about the estrogen supplement, I’m not sure, but I was on an estrogen patch all the way up until 11 weeks…but that was a regular IVF cycle, not FET. I guess it would make sense, though, that you use a higher dose at least for the first 10-14 days to build up your uterine lining.

Cwolf: That’s what I’ve been on…crinone. It’s a lot better than PIO shots with their super looong needles and just as effective. Some women say they’re icky because it can cause some lumpy white discharge, but I never had that. My RE instructed me to just use my finger to remove it every 2-3 day and that worked for me. It’s basically a white creamy supplement that once inserted kinda clumps to “stay in place.”  So if not removed once in a while, it can cause some buildup (and probably start coming out as discharge). I know, a bit TMI, but just thought I’d let you know ;-)

Mandy: Good luck with your third beta tomorrow! Can’t wait for your first ultrasound to see if there are one or two little beans in there!

Smahoney: Yay! That’s a great increase! Let us know how the blood work went today!

Devistated: I hope the little twinges and tender BBs are from the embryo implanting! Got my fingers crossed!

Bfromthed: Good luck with the injectables next month! Hopefully that'll do the trick for you!

Kdm: How did your baseline go today! Sending you all the baby dust in the world for this next cycle!

MGS: Best of luck on Wednesday! ;-)

Heather yeah I can't wait the way my #s are going it makes me wonder... but as long as I have one healthy baby I really dont care if there are twins or the sex. But I guess we will see in a few weeks. I am actually getting really excited now that I know that its real. :o)

Alright so I am cd 3 today - Since I ovulated 1 week earlier than normal last month - this cycle I will start OPKing earlier - LOL.

July will be 1 year since we stopped going to fertility drs and have been trying on our own - so we have decided to go back - since my insurance is changing effectice July 1st and will cover so fertility treatments instead of paying out of pocket like we did before - Our first appointment is July 7th.  So this month is gonna be a good month whether or not I come up pregnant because I just am not going to stress over it. Whatever happens happens.  heck I may not even OPk this month - LOL -- we will just mess around and see what happens.

I will be postpning my IVF cycle till next month due to a death in the family, but I will keep you posted on when I will start. How are you feeling?

by shellbell75, Jun 16, 2009 09:28AM
Heather, MSG, mommyoftwo, ALL,

Thanks for thinking of me I was home really sick, just didnt get out of bed much, i got more sick and decided to go to my OBGYN for him to prescribe something bec I had a hard time breathing, I went yesterday and he decided to do an ultrasound and we saw one sack with a tiny thing flickering up and down he said thats the heart beat...so guys no twins for me...anyways I am feeling much better today and I am back to work....still will go to my RE app on Friday they will do another U/S and this time I will actually hear the heart beat instead of seeing an up and down flickering.....SO i take it one sac means one baby? right?

all int he 2WW good luck, sorry who got AF, but on this board everyone sure will soon get there BFP!

Congrats Shellbell!  That must have been a huge relief to see that everything is progressing well, another milestone! So glad you are feeling better.  I was definitely thinking about you and hoping all was ok.

by MGS1969, Jun 16, 2009 09:38AM
Oh - and I think it's likely only 1 baby, but I don't think that's guaranteed.  I had a friend that had twins in one sac - but it's rare.

by shellbell75, Jun 16, 2009 09:44AM
MGS, thank you  so much, I was very happy there was something in the sac it was soooooooooooo tiny OMG!!!!! and I am happy with whatever God will gave me....so all some worrying is over but lots more to come, cant wait to hear about your u/s. any symptoms yet? as for me nothing for days except the damm cold and sore throat, and i hate when my nose get stuffy especially at night. I did have some in and out shooting pain to my vagina like cant explain it.....

by MGS1969, Jun 16, 2009 09:51AM
I've had a couple of sharp pains that were pretty low, but otherwise, no symptoms whatsoever.  It's weird and definitely has me a bit anxious - no sore bbs, they aren't growing, I'm not sick, no food aversions, no real fatigue.  I know I should be thankful, but for now it worries me.  Hopefully I will get some assurances tomorrow.

I hate colds, particularly in the summer, just seems wrong.

by shellbell75, Jun 16, 2009 11:29AM
MGS, dont worry too much, no symptoms is a good sign too....my breast is sore and swollen but so far to other symptoms....

by mommyoftwo28644, Jun 16, 2009 11:54AM
Shellbelle wooohooo! I am so happy that is so amazing. The sickness isn't fun at all, but I was told the pregnancy pops at motherhood work wonders so try those I think the next time I am near one I am going to pick some up.

MGS don't worry about no symptoms thats perfectly fine with tan I was that way and he was born normally and 8lbs

As for me lots of symptoms several spells of nausea, heartburn, bbs are tender, and tired and I have had some cramps but they said not to worry since my progesterone is still in the 20s so all is good here. I am actually believing it now is happening so I am so happy, unlike the first one and second one. My jeans are so tight allready, they say the uterus gets bigger faster after two so I am showing some to be 5 weeks it scares me. Drs appt is one day next week after I get my beta thursday we will see what day I am to go to the office.

Hey guys...
I am so sorry about my absence from the thread.  I have been SO sick with nausea and vomiting....It really is hard for me not to complain because I can barely function, but I am so happy that all is going well.  I am still receiving IM progesterone, and don't know if that is making it even worse.
So now It actually looks like I had quads initially.  They didn't see a sac initially on the first ultrasound.  Turns out irregular guy was fine it was just hiding another one.  Apparantly that egg split into two and that is how I had 4.  One of the split embryos didn't make it and it is still questionable what the other is doing.  they see a third heart beat but don't see the rest of the sac etc.  The other two are doing very well with nice strong heartbeats...Thank goodness.  I had some bleeding last week thinking it might be the third misscarring, but the heartbeat was still there.
Again, I am so sorry that I have not been able to support everyone.  CONGRATS to all of you with positive results.  That is so wonderful!  Shelbell, I am so happy for you!  I will say prayers for all of you trying.  Please hang in there and keep the faith!!  Good positive juju sent to you all!!
I've missed reading up on everyone...Heather, again, you are amazing and I am so happy that you are having such positive results!!  I can't wait to know what you are having!
ugh...any suggestions for nausea or vomiting PLEASE send it my way...sleep is all that is helping....
virtual hugs to you all

To: Hi to everyone
Hi
I have a question to all who are on clomid?
As from 2 months i could not track opks because no LH surge .I tracked from CD 10-20 and my cycles are 30 days. But i went to blood test for progesterone on CD 22 to make sure iam ovulating or not . The result of progesterone was 20.2. She said iam ovulating normal. My question is even though iam ovulating normal it would have and adverse effect of clomid .Just to know because iam new to fertility medications clomid.

by mommyoftwo28644, Jun 16, 2009 12:34PM
I was on clomid but with my re he had me on clomid and metformin together and was tracking my cycles and did HCG shots after 5 rounds (2 of 100mg and 3 of 150mg) I got my bfp this month. That number is great # for progesterone. I hope this helps! :o)

Have a M.D appointment tomorrow to talk about this cycle (new) of meds and procedures. I am so happy for all of you who have got a BFP..I pray that the baby (ies) is healthy and strong. I am praying for the rest of us too have a BFP one next month as well. I will keep you guys posted...I have tosay you guys give me hope... thanks with love

hey all i have a question:) i sent an eamil to my RE about Af and that this cycle is over. She called me back today and asked me if the flow is as always or different..and i told her this time it was diferent i had some dark brown blood (sorry tmi) on day 1,2nd day 1 spot ,cd 3 today nothing..so she asked me to come in for pregnancy test tomm..I know for sure its BFN coz my bbs are back to normal and my temp.is so low..But just curious can this happen:)

by MGS1969, Jun 16, 2009 03:07PM
To: pearl
I think this can definitely still happen.  Brownish means it's old blood, not new, so it doesn't sound to me like you got AF.  Have you taken any HPT's?  I don't want to give you false hope, but I think it's still possible that you could be BFP.

heather5: thanks so much for all your positivity. I am actually feeling nothing at 8 dpo IUI, it's a little hard to stay hopeful. My boobs aren't even hurting much...I am tired, but PMS does that to me and I have a little visitor in town for the summer, who wakes me up at night. ;)   Hope you're doing terrific and when is your next ultrasound? can't wait to hear about the two little lines and their development. Greetings from Florida and tons of sticky vibes.

deviasted: I am not feeling a thing. ;( Not sure what my body is doing. I have been moody, but I am always b***** when I PMS. lol.......I am trying to stay positive and focusing on relaxing in the evenings when I come home from work. It sounds like you're having a truckload of symptoms, so tons and tons of baby dust and sticky vibes for you. Hope you get on the BFP list next week!

ALL: Nothing much here. I am 8DPO IUI and feeling alright....just having severe moodiness, PMDD symptoms. I am not thinking that anything is happening this cycle....but who knows! Either way, we are ok. If IUI #6 (this one) does not work, we are having an IVF in August! Truckloads of SSBD and sticky vibes for all! Let's keep on adding names to the BFP list.

Babymomas09---Sounds like you have some symptoms of your own...Ya know PMS symptoms are the same as Pregnancy symptoms...I'm sure you know that already...Just a little reminder. But for real it is so hard to stay positive, it seems like the first week is so easy and you are so positive. You start to dream what it would be like and then week 2 BAM smacks you right in the face and now your dreams are nightmares.
WTF....So frustrating.
As for me, today not much going on, still feel full and maybe some type of cramps Not AF cramps these ones are higher and Just boobs feeling real heavy in the A.M. and when I put my bra on WAAA LAAAA all gone. I was googling so much stuff yesterday and it drove crazy. I was thinking about HPT'ing even though I don't respond well to them, I just thought, Maybe it will work this time. IF I do and it's a huge big fat IF, I'll do it over the weekend.

All the moms to be, Hope you are feeling wonderful.

Poeticnicky--Sorry for your negative. It hurts like hell, but when you get ready to start a new cycle, the excitement will find it's way back to you...Good Luck.

by smahoney9, Jun 16, 2009 10:57PM
Shellbell:  That is sooo awesome that you got to see the heartbeat.  I am so happy for you!  I have my first u/s next week and I can't wait.  I have also had those shooting pains before.  To me it is similar to the shooting pains I feel in my bbs.  Must be from the hormones.

MGS:  You are a little ahead of me, but I haven't really had any symptoms yet either.  I have had sore bbs here and there.  I am afraid to start wishing for symptoms as I don't really want to feel sick.  But I can totally relate to wanting to feel pregnant.  I am finding relief in the fact that I am not bleeding at all.

Sunshine:  I hope you feel better soon.  I had hyperemesis with a previous pregnancy years ago and it was awful.  If you start to feel dehydrated get to your RE right away.  They also have better medications now but I think they only prescribe them if you can't keep anything down at all.  Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck with the nausea.

Poeticnicky:  Sorry to hear about AF.  I have to tell you I felt so positive about you getting your BFP next month when I read your post.  You had "BFP" three times and you didn't have "BFN" at all.  And that was in a post telling us about a BFN.  You are awesome.  I just love to see it when strong women are able to stay positive no matter what happens.

Pearl:  I had bleeding starting 6dpt and bled on and off for about 4-5 days.  I had spotting at first and then I had some heavier bleeding w/ red blood but never a full flow.  The major difference was that I never got any real AF cramps.  When I called RE my nurse told me to come in just to confirm that it was negative.  Then I got my BFP 10 dpt and all my beta's have been awesome.  I am waiting for my u/s next week.  I haven't had any bleeding since the day I had my BFP except after intercourse and that was bright red as well, but RE said it was from the cervix.  I don't want to give you false hope but I thought I should share my experience.  Did you do an hpt?

Silapooh:  Good luck to you this month!

Deviasted/ALL: Those are great symtpoms...and I have some good news. I am starting to feel more symptomatic...my boobs feel extremely heavy. They are starting to hurt more. Also, I felt some mild cramping earlier today....hoping that little tiny dot is finding its way and attaching to the uteran wall. I am also feeling extremely tired and felt even some dizzy spells today. So, I really hope #6 is the one for me! Keep me posted on your symptoms. Sending positive vibes and thoughts to everyone. Babymomas09---Yea for your symptoms...sounds good.

As for me, I went to the bathroom about an hour ago and I saw blood in the progesterone discharge on the pad (sorry TMI) My heart fell to the floor. I put a new progesterone in and blood was on the applicator. I woke up this morning with zero symptoms. No full feeling, no high cramps and no heavy boobs...I thought something might be wrong but I didn't think I'd see any signs of AF until the weekend. Remembering back to IVF's I have gotten AF on day 9 post IVF before. I always thought it was to early but it happened. I am cycle day 25 and 9 days post IUI so it seems to be AF. I feel like throwing up, I feel so bad.
Does anyone think different then me. I realize I am reaching here, I guess I'm just looking for a positive thought.

Okay I am a little confused... I am still have symptoms like headaches, dizziness, a heighten sense of smell, and some nausea. I dont feel anything like AF is coming. I went to the doc today and he said that i should retest (beta) on monday b/c it is possible that I could have implanted late. Or the horomes could have changed some things. Have any one ever expereinced this before. I am now on cd 30. and a little worried. any information will be handy. thank you so much

I am sure able to say that I am normally 28-30 day for a cycle. I just wish if it is coming that it comes so I can start over with the meds. I just really wish that it will come or give me a positive so I can more on from this point....

Devistated and Poeticknicky - best of luck to both of you.  The waiting is so incredibly hard.  Try to do something to take your mind off of it - a girls night, massage, a good movie (make sure it has a happy ending).

babymomas09--Hi, I am off work today and I'm going out of my mind. I've been up since 6:30 am shampooing my furniture. It is raining here in Jersey and It makes it that much more depressing. It's been raining for two days. I did not have any more blood in any discharge or on the insert stick from the progesterone this morning. I only fear that I didn't put the applicator in far enough because I was afraid I would see blood. I keep running to the bathroom for checks and so far so good. Just very light blood color when I wipe (earlier in the A.M.)

It seems like your symptoms are right on time. Do you do beta tests if you don't get AF next tuesday?
Enjoy your day and keep feeling all of those wonderful signs....

Thanks for the good wishes. So ar so good for me!! I am even starting to get more frequent dizzy spells, light cramping, and have been having food cravings all week...lol

If no signs of AF, I will be doing a HPT on tuesday morning. If +, I am going straight into Re's office for a beta. I already made appt... I have to check numbers and start progesterone right away if beta is slow...afraid of a chemical pregnancy all over again :(

Deviasted: Glad to hear of the good news. I have my fingers and toes all crossed for you. I hope our names are both added to the BFP list next week. Keep me updated and take it easy....!!

Agini: How are u feeling, dear?  Do u have one or two in there?

by Heather5, Jun 18, 2009 02:47PM
Kdm: Glad to hear you baseline went well! Got my fingers crossed for a few good follies for you this month ;-)

MGS: I’m so happy for you! Congrats on a good, strong heartbeat!

Quinns momma: Holy moly! All-day morning sickness does not sound like fun. I hope things start to get better soon! Don’t they say it usually starts to ease up towards the end of the first trimester? I sure hope so!

Smahoney: Great numbers! Sounds like things are definitely moving in the right direction for you! As for your scan on Monday, it will probably just be to make sure they see the sac in your uterus. It’ll probably be too early for anything else, but you might possibly see the yolk sac inside. The fetal pole, which is the beginning stage of the fetus is usually not visible until the sixth week.

Poeticnicky: Wow! What a crazy week, huh? I really hope the first beta was just a fluke and that you’ll get some happy news on Monday! I’ll continue to keep my fingers crossed for you!

Shellbell: Congrats on seeing your little bean and the heartbeat! With one sac, it’s most probably just one baby…unless one embryo split, forming identical twins. But then I would think they would have seen two heartbeats. Hope you’re feeling better from your cold!

Pearl: OMG! I can’t believe they left you hanging yesterday afternoon! Did they call today? Sounds like you have a good plan for August/September if this month does not work out…but I’m still hoping for some good news today! Keep us posted, OK?

Renee (Ree): Glad to hear you’re feeling a little better after all that happened. Hopefully, you’ll get another “sticky” BFP very soon!

Marline: Sorry to heart about AF. She has some nerve showing up at your house! I hope she’ll take a hint and stay away for at least nine months after this visit! SSBD!

Mandy: Best of luck with your third beta today! I’m sure it will be a good, strong number!

Kramik: That’s great news about your new insurance! I’m still hoping for some good news this month, but if not, at least you have a new game plan starting in July ;-)

Fairyzduzt: I’m so sorry to hear about the death in your family. That is so sad. I can totally understand postponing your IVF for a month. Keep us posted, OK?

Chris (sunshine): Holy moly! Triplets!!! I’m so sorry one didn’t make it and that the third one is questionable…but I’m glad to hear the other two are doing well and looking healthy! As for the nausea, unfortunately, I don’t really have any suggestions…but hopefully it’ll get better now that you’re getting closer to the second trimester. Hugs back!

Silapooh: Yay! So glad to hear you got your protocol! Can’t wait to celebrate a BFP with you at the end of July!

Sahiti: I know some women have problems detecting their LH surge, even though they are in fact ovulating. A progesterone of 20.2 is excellent! So the clomid definitely worked for you this month! Anything over 10 indicates a good ovulation!

BabyMamas: Yay! Your symptoms sound very promising! I definitely hope #6 is the lucky one for you! Sending you a truckload of SUPER STICKY baby dust!!! Oh, and my next ultrasound is in about two weeks…so we’ll see if they’ll be able to see anything then ;-)

Devistated: Oh no! I hope it’s not AF. Let’s hope it’s implantation bleeding instead! Got my fingers crossed!

Bfromthed: Yeah, I know…but you’ll be back before you know it! In the meantime, maybe take the opportunity to do all those things you’re not suppose to do when TTC ;-)

Agini: Good luck tomorrow! I think I remember that your ultrasound was on the same day as my sister’s birthday…the 19th…right? Can’t wait to hear how it goes!

SSBD to everyone!

Hello Ladies

I would love to join this group. You are all so postive!  I am on Clomid Cycle # 4. I had a scan on Monday and had 3 follies! 18/16/15!! I did HCG shot on Tuesday 6/16 and IUI this morning. I am now in my 2WW. It is torture.

Kristine: Wohooo! A line is a line, no matter how faint! Congrats! That's so exciting!!!

Jamie: Welcome to the thread! I'll add your info next time I update the list! Your follicle sizes sound great! They should have all been mature by the time you triggered! Best of luck this month! I hope it's a BFP in the making!

poeticnicky--sorry about AF. You have a wonderful attitude and I'm glad you are continuing on. Thanks for your thoughts.

Anyone who has gotten a BFP--Ladies, Did any of you have a rash under your breasts?
I've had it for two days. (wondering if it's a good sign) and I also keep feeling a gush and I think it's AF and when I check it's not. It's just what I believe to be the progesterone discharging BUT it gushes out once in a while??? Feels like water.
Thanks

babymomas09--How do you feel today? I am still blood free and I'm feeling crampy.

Deviasted/ALL: I am feeling crampy, ocassionally....definitely very sore in my boobies and bloated as heck. I have started to feel very dizzy in the afternnon and sleepy. All good signs. Still planning on testing Tues, if no AF. SSBD Deviasted! Sounds like we may get our BFP's together next week! I'm so excited!

Heather5: Thanks for all the good wishes. I am very excited and looking fwd to testing Tues if no AF. I do feel that I am preggers....but I've been wrong before. lol Sending you some sticky vibes and looking fwd to hearing about your next US...so interested in finding out gender....;)

:(  They didnt call...I was thinking of changing My re and this gave me 1  more reason to leave her.. I will call myself in noon ..Though i know its Not + but still they should call me whatever the result it..She was the one who called me and asked me to go for B/W.She also tried to concinve me for 2 more rounds of iui but i told here i want a break..

I'm so sorry they haven't called, that's just not fair.  You deserve to have an answer, whatever the answer is.

You should definitely switch and tell them exactly why you are switching.  I have to assume that these clinics are suffering in this economy as well, so the fact that they are losing patients because of bad service should be a big deal.

I still have my fingers and toes crossed for you.  How are you feeling now?  Any more signs of anything?

by shellbell75, Jun 19, 2009 10:07AM
MGS, You had you U/S wow! one precious bean, CONGRATS ON SEEING A BEAUTIFUL HEARTBEAT, yeah I was hoping for twins too...but you know what I am happy with one. Guess we will be going thru all of it together I started having nausea  2 days ago, only in the afternoon it kicks in....not a good feeling but I ate crackers and it helps alot. When do you go again and when do you start going to your OBGYN?

Pearl, I am so sorry, thats so unfair I would call them and so tell them off, thats really not nice you do deserve an answer even if its not positive.....I would tell them off OMG! i am raging for you, gave me their # let me tell them off for you... Anyways I am hoping and praying its a positive.....take care sweetie.

All- good luck in the 2ww.

All BFN-so sorry and keeping the faith that next cycle will be a positive one.

by shellbell75, Jun 19, 2009 10:09AM

Ok so I am 9 or 10dpiui..I took an HPT yesterday afternoon and it had the lightest line I have ever seen, I mean you had to hold it just right to see it..lol. Well I took another this morning with FRER and the line was still light but it was darker than the one yesterday. I want to know if this could be evap lines, maybe a bad box or do you think it really is BFP?

I read both test within 3 to 5 min.....any input would be great thanks!!

Shellbelle:
yeah I know its weird huh. I just talked to the nurse and she said she was happy with my #'s and being I have no history of a eptopic pregnancy that they arent too worried. I have a scan a week from monday since I will be 6 weeks on the weekend. So all is good here. I was worried about the #'s but he said they were on track and a little higher than normal so I am not to worried anymore. Unless I start having major cramps ( I am having lt ones on the rt side but I ovulated on the rt side) or any other major symptoms I should be ok no more betas so I don't have to freak out anymore. :o) My due date is (as of right now) 02/20/2010 and I tend to go into labor at around 37 weeks so we might have our babies close together. I had tons of symptoms but now they are few and stronger. I have bad indegestion and sickness to certain smells and I really don't have an appetite. Everyonce in a while I will have tender bbs but not constantly. And I have found out if I wait and eat about 2 hours after I get up I don't get sick. So all is well here. How are you feeling?

by MGS1969, Jun 19, 2009 11:00AM
Mommyoftwo - That's great news, I'm so glad the nurse was able to reassure you.  Good luck with your ultrasound!  How fun.

Shellbell - I still don't really have any symptoms, aside from being fairly tired during the day.  I've felt dizzy a few times when I stand up too quickly, but no nausea or anything like that, so far anyway.  I hope yours doesn't increase at all.

Pearl - I'm so sorry it was negative, but I think it's great you are so excited for ivf.  I felt the same way after many months of trying, clomid, etc., I felt like I was being more proactive and it felt good when we started ivf.  Best of luck to you!  Make sure you rest a lot after the transfer - that's my big thing. I think you need 2-3 days of bedrest after transfer, even though the dr's don't tell you it's needed.

Patience - Sounds to me like BFP!!!  I had the same thing, where the lines were light, really light, but they kept getting darker.  I've never done IUI, so I don't know the timing, but when would AF be due for you?  Keep us updated!

All - I'm so sorry for those that haven't received the news they wanted yet, it will come.  I'm thinking of you and sending strong sticky vibes your way.

Af is not due until the 24th. I am hoping that this is my month!! The only thing that is scaring me is that I took a trigger shot on the 8th of this month and I had my IUI on the 10th, I am worried that the trigger shot is still in my system and that it is giving me a false postive!!

Just wanted to update all... hubby came home early... wasn't expecting till tomorrow but came home yesterday evening... amen.  I was getting scared that I may O earlier this month and we would miss the day all together... That has been our biggest issue.. timing the bding.. since he is a truck driver.  I had a temp spike on day 11.. so I thought I may have ovulated already but my temps have come down so I thinkin I didn't now.. anyone want to stalk my chart and comment if they think I did or didn't...lol  so I put hubby to work.. as soon as he came home...lol  He surprised us coming home early.. I am glad he did.. it is a sign... I am going to be positive and say this is our month!!!!!  I will keep you all posted... thanks..

Patience:  A line is a line!!!!!  I am pretty sure your HCG is out of your system by now.  Plus your line is getting darker, probably meaning that your hormones are increasing :~)  YAY CONGRATS!!

MSG:  your  numbers look great!

Babysmama: Feeling tired and sleepy are very good signs of pregnancy.  I AM SO EXCITED!  This is so your month :~)  I'll continue praying for you and ssbd!

All:  one more week of b/c pills!  YAY!!!!  I am so happy for those big fat positives, and I continue to pray for those in the 2ww and those who are waiting to start and get their BFP!!!!  Sending tons and tons of sticky baby dust to everyone!!!!

Congrats and Happy Birthday!

What was the nurse basing her prediction that it's a boy on?  Heartrate or did she actually see something indicating it was a boy?
