Do you think this happens cause of the meds?

Ladies i have a question. As you know i underwent my first cycle of ivf. July 31 was the retrieval but we postponed the transfer cause i was starting to ohss. Nothing serios but i was feeling really bloated and had couple of cysts on both the ovaries. My re wantd to play it safe so we froze the embrios and i'll go back as soon as i have my af. Now i have noticed that my hair is falling out more than usual for the last couple of weeks actually has been more than a month. Actually has really thinned out. After i shower there are a lot of hair on my hands and on the comb. It's really starting to worry me. Do you think that the hormone therapy you take during ivf is the cause?I have heard of different side effect and it's not the same for all the women. I'll see my re next week and i'll ask him but do you think this is possible. Also i'm taking levothoroxine. I'm really starting to freak out.

I'm beginning to think maybe there is a connection. I don't know anything for sure. But, you are about the 3rd person that had that happen under the same circumstance. It really sounds like it does cause it.

When your progesterone goes down your hair will thin out.  Mine has done the same thing...with each m/c.  I mentioned it to my doctor and she said it was b/c my progesterone was low...she told me it happened with her pregnancy too.

I can agree with the above post.  My dr. told me today my progesterone is a little low and quite honestly i have been having thinning hair for a while now ~~ and it's getting worse!
