I have been taking Progesterone in order to jump start my period. After 10 days of pills, I should be getting my period soon. However, due to the bad symptoms (exhaustion, nausea, etc.) from the progesterone I thought that maybe I could be pregnant. So, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Is the test accurate? Am I pregnant or is it the effects of the progesterone?
I can say i have never heard of progesterone causing a false positive...... I would think that the reason your period didn't start on it's own is because you were actually pregnant....... Congrats! My advice is to call your doctor and let them do a blood test to make sure, but I would be SHOCKED if it came back negitive!
Thanks for your responses! I called the doctor and was told that I am pregnant - the progesterone would not have effected the test result. I am shocked, to say the least!
