Does progesterone really indicate ovulation?

by Carrie526, May 14, 2008 10:11AM
I am on progesterone suppositories twice a day because my level was 10.8 5dpo. My RE said by the looks of follies and the fluid behind the uterus that I had ovulated, but now I am concerned that she was wrong. I read that a level of 10 is too low to indicate that you did ovulate. What is true? Any help is appreciated!

My RE told me that if the Prog value is > 5.. that would mean that you have just Oed. Good luck :)

You definitely ovulated....but they like to see a level of 10 or more to help sustain a possible pregnancy. You're above 10, but just barely, so that's probably why your RE wanted you to the suppositories.
